Great location. Good value for money. Nice service and welcome by staff. Onsite underground car parking (€18 per night). Allows dogs!

The hotel was in an excellent location just next door to the railway station and a short walk through the outer wall to the tourist office and town. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed. There was plenty of room to spread out, a good cupboard for clothing storage and a convenient fridge. The bathroom was spacious and clean and good water pressure in the shower. Extra pillows and blanket were available. The aircon was easily controlled. The staff were very helpful and it was a really pleasant stay.
It was late October and the hotel very quiet. The bar seemed not to be open and it was necessary to go out for dinner. As an older couple we tend to stay in at night and it was unfortunate that the TV had no channels in English nor the ability to stream programs from subscription services like Netflix, or in house movies.

Staff were friendly. Very large room and very quiet. Bed was very comfortable.
Carpets were stained and Hôtel is a bit dated. But room was very clean.

Loved the location. Right outside the walls of the city and next door to Train station.
Also loved the size of the room, really it was a suite.
They switched the air conditioner off. As our room faced west it was unbearably hot and stuffy in the afternoon and evenings. When I complained I was told the aircon in the whole hotel had been turned off for winter, however I noticed the public areas still had aircon.
We were able to open windows but that created a problem in the sound of the train station announcements were really loud, especially first thing in the morning. Also it let in mosquitoes.
The other really bad thing was the toilet flush was not great and occasionally a horrible smell would come from it.
