The host, Anne-Lise, was so lovely and hospitable. We were offered homemade baked goods for breakfast and were very well looked after. Our room was large, very comfortable and clean. Most of all, the location was amazing - close to the Pope's Palace, museums, and shops - yet was very peaceful and calm. It was a very enjoyable stay. Thank you.

The location is perfect for those visiting Avignon, you step out of the front door and you are in the heart of the city and able to walk to all of the major attractions. The house itself is beautiful and Anne Lise is a wonderful host who also provides a lovely breakfast with home made cakes and jams with a selection of local foods, it's a real treat.
All of the rooms are different and it feels like an authentic French house rather than a standard B&B with beautiful furniture and a lovely cat to add to the enjoyment.
Would definitely recommend to those wanting to stay in the heart of the city and appreciate a more individual style rather than a standard corporate style.
Anne Lise also provided some great tips on where to visit and eat, we had a fantastic meal possibly the best on our trip based on her recommendation.
We also took her advice not to drive into Avignon as it's so congested, we stayed in the long term parking outside the city and then walked for 15 minutes to get to the property, there is a bus if you have large bags and don't want to walk.

This is a lovely old home with a gracious and helpful hostess. The bathrooms are spacious and modern.
No complaints!

The location was excellent in that there were cafes and restaurants close by as well as the Popes Palace.. The room was large with a comfortable bed and had a good bathroom and very clean.
There was little be be disappointed with. Breakfast was good. The only issue of some concern might be in the amounts of jams and other toppings for toast were very low.

This is a lovely old home (1500s?) in the heart of Avignon, which I loved. If you're a Ritz or Four Seasons type, this may not suit you. It feels very lived in, because it is (the owner and her husband and son live upstairs), but my room was very private and I even had a refrigerator (there was also a microwave, coffee machine, and tea kettle) to keep my special needs gluten free and dairy free food items. My room was large and clean and comfortable, with cute vintage furniture. It is obviously old but that is the charm of staying in such a place. Breakfast consisted of homemade breads (I brought my own gluten free bread, there is a toaster in the breakfast area): homemade jam/marmalade; a variety of fresh fruit along with homemade yogurt; and very good coffee. Our hostess was very helpful and nice. I would stay here again.
We arrived late, so I went without towels in my bathroom the first night because there weren't any and I didn't want to disturb the owner, this was easily remedied the next morning. There was a tea kettle in the room, which I hard boiled an egg in each morning to take to breakfast; perhaps our hostess could consider making some for the other guests in the morning?

A wonderful home From home
More savoury choices at breakfast would be good. Us Brits will never get used to cake in the morning but croissants would be welcome.

Breakfast was great! Homemade brioche, sweetbreads, jams, fruit, coffee
AC worked but the place in general felt warm... typical though in France that doesnt usually even have AC. Our rooms decor was kind of blah... bot like the nice photos on website. Also, we had requested a first floor and told in messages that we would, but when we arrived, host had already given it to someone else. Excellent location near palais de popes

The location is great and Anne Lise is lovely.
The car park is not far away however it’s a difficult walk with suitcases as the whole route is big cobblestones. The mattress was quite hard.

Beautiful French property. Large rooms.
Difficult to navigate the property with suitcases as although short walk from car park it was all cobbled streets. Fine if you are fit and travelling light.

The B&B is in a good location. The rooms are large and quiet. Our room was on the ground floor, which was a bonus.
The breakfast is all homemade, but there wasn't a lot of variety.

This was a wonderful experience. The home is centuries old but the bathrooms, electrical and kitchen have all been updated. The bedrooms have high ceilings and are decorated uniquely with antique touches. The owner greeted us each morning with a cold breakfast of cereals, fresh fruit and breads, homemade yogurt, juices, coffee and tea. She made restaurant reservations for us at a Michelin 1-star just 100 feet from her front door and advised about taxis, trains, etc. This B&B is right in the center of the historic places you want to visit.
This is a caution, not a dislike. There are two guest suites on the ground floor and three on the next floor up. The breakfast room is also on that next floor up. The family lives on the top floor and we could hardly hear them.

The room was very clean.
The breakfast was good.
The location was good, close to the town centre,
The room was on the ground floor fronting onto a dark alley which in turn made the room dark.

Excellent location. Wonderful breakfast. Home made jams and cakes. Good breads m. Fresh fruit and cheese. Like a home stay with other guests round a big kitchen table.
Why have the extra bed cushions? They just have to go in the cupboard. Nobody likes used cushions near their clean bed pillows.

La Petite Saunerie os a gem, a beautiful family home where guests are welcomed warmly.
Breakfast consists of home made yoghurt, cakes, bread and jams along with beautiful fresh fruits, all served at a large table in the family kitchen. The convivial atmosphere encourages guests of all nationalities to converse and exchange tips and recommendations for Avignon.
Host Anne-Lise is welcoming and friendly, and keen to make sure guests get the best of their stay in this lovely city.
Would highly recommend!

This is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast provided by gracious hosts. Spacious room, convenient location, superior breakfasts make this a special home away from home. We stayed 4 nights and would have been very comfortable being there a week.
We left our window open at night so we got the noise from the street below. Amazing how late some people stay up and how loud the are.

Very comfortable, quite individual in that it was in a building which was several centuries old, it was a family b&b where you were conscious that you were staying in someone’s home. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, offering advice and home-made breakfasts.
There was nothing I didn’t like

So close to the Palais (and everything else)… and the bed and shower (the two most important variables) were extraordinary!
The breakfast, too, was wonderful — fresh, local, delicious!

I really liked the spacious room and the decor in this very old preserved building. It was very quiet and is in a great location - easy to get to pretty much anywhere.
The breakfast was good, but at other B&Bs there has also been a choice of a warm or hot savory dish, which would have been nice. Maybe when the rooms are all occupied, something like that is offered.

It felt very authentically French. And the location was ideal to enjoy the town of Avignon. The hosts were very accommodating and made us feel like we had been invited into their home as their guests. They gave us access to their kitchen where we could use their refrigerator and their coffee machine. Breakfast was delicious and there were several homemade breads for us to enjoy, along with jams, fruit, and yogurt and granola.

The room is located in a historic building and the room we stayed in is spacious, very well-decorated, and clean. The room is in an apartment flat where you share the common areas with other guests and we had a wonderful breakfast all together in the lovely kitchen around a huge table. We felt at home; having a delicious homemade fresh breakfast and meeting with new people all around the world were a memorable experience. The hosts are wonderful people and I highly recommend.

The location is great and the room itself is nice and confy.
The main problem with this place is the improper information in the Booking.com details. It says that it's a B&B but generally this doesn't mean that you will sleep and eat breakfast in the intimate closeness of the owner. After booking you are warned in a rather passive-aggressive message, that this is not a normal accomodation, but it's the owner's house and you have to respect their rules. Fair enough, but you should start your presentation at the booking site with this...
There is 0 privacy, because the room (at least ours) opens directly from the hall of the flat. Everyone crosses it, and the ancient doors cannot be closed properly, so there's a 1-2cm gap where sound comes and goes in and out and you can also watch or be watched as you wish.
For the breakfast you have to cross the owners living room and sit in her kitchen. I'm sorry, but I'm not confortable with this especially when I'm not warned about that before booking.
The check in time is from 5PM which is weird but ok. However the owner didn't showed up at this time and couldn't be reached by phone. Since there's no other staff, we had to wait on the sidewalk for a half an hour with a super tired 2 year old. Finally we were only able to reach the host via the booking.com support. This is not quality service.

The house seemed exactly what we expected for an archetypal old family house in the old city centre. Very high beautiful eighteenth century moulded plaster ceilings, original shutters and furniture, very comfortable and large double bed. The thick walls and shuttered windows meant we really did not need the AC. Breakfast was the usual fruit and pastries, but with home-made preserves. Our host was charming and welcoming. Her English was pretty good too, although she needlessly apologised for having poor command of our language. Certainly 1000% better than my French! We had been warned that Avignon would be heaving with tourists, but it really was not. A delightful town with plenty to do.
Really nothing at all

Very spacious rooms, and super friendly host who gave us great tips for food. The house is located just behind the Popes' Palace and near great restaurants. Breakfast was lovely with homemade jams and yoghurt.

Our room was large even having a table and chairs. It was nicely decorated and felt very comfy. The breakfasts were excellent with our hostess even getting fresh strawberries from a fiends farm.
The bathroom was quite compact but worked out fine.

Lovely accommodations, rooms were very well decorated and the locations was good to walk to all of the places near the Palais du Papes. Anne-Lise was very pleasant when we finally met her in person. The breakfast she set out (we left very early) was very nice. She had a cancellation the night before so we were able to upgrade one of our rooms.
1) The fact that owner, Anne-Lise, did not respond to ANY of our emails via Booking.com regarding arrival time. 2) Finding the parking garage was not easy, not well explained, and we ended up driving around the Palais district, getting, lost, backing up in tiny streets. Not fun. 3) We were 4, traveling with large rolling suitcases across cobblestone streets and no clear directions or landmarks on the fasted route from parking garage to house. (For example, "Head to the In/Off cafe in middle of square, turn left, etc., would have saved us wandering around with our suitcases like a bunch of idiots. Did I mention the cobblestones that are paving the entire square? FUUUUUNNNNN! 4) We arrived an hour late due to above lack of directions. Rang bell, no answer. Luckily, occupants of top floor apt came out while we were standing there in the street, nicely let us into the building and called Anne-Lise, who came within 5 minutes. She was very nice. 5) The situation is an air Bnb, NOT a hotel, and the pristine white sofa seating area shown in the pictures was obviously in use for her kids; it looked more like our TV room after the kids had a sleepover! Finally, they have a cat (my husband is very allergic) which we did not know about, & had to chase from our room.

The location is great, easy to reach from Gare Centre Avignon. The hostess is also very friendly and helpful!
The only point of improvement would be for the bathroom. It is a bathtub located inside the room (for the room I booked) which is interesting, but its easy to make everything wet when showering. During winter it might get cold to shower in the tub.
