I enjoyed everything about my stay!

What a lovely find!

We were very impressed with the standard of accommodation and its central location, and also with the helpfulness of the delightful hostess Michèle. All of our rooms at the apartment in the solidly built private house (kitchen/dining/living area, bathroom, sizeable bedroom) were all tastefully decorated and adorned with all sorts of artefacts. We self catered in our apartment which was very easy. Michèle was a genial and generous hostess - very knowledgeable about the area and extremely helpful to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Breakfasts were delightful. We would stay there again!

The host is a working artist and world traveler and a highlight of our journey. She took time to show us her work and visit with us and recommended restaurants as well as the must see sites. It is an important apartment in an historic building perfectly situated to enjoy Avignon.

We loved our stay at Cocooning. Michelle was a fantastic host sharing her delightful home, in a very interesting and historic part of Avignon. An amazing and beautiful town, where you can walk everywhere. If you like staying in modern hotel rooms, then maybe not for you. But if you want to stay in an original french home, built into the inner wall, then this is it.l A real treat.Thanks again, Michelle!

Disappointing and not up to to par!

Rooms were spacious. Good location. Owners were responsive to the many problems we encountered.

We rented both units at Cocooning. Both need a really good clean up, some basic maintenance, and big time “dejunking”. There are “knick knacks” on every surface, including the walls, and many paintings/pictures/other objects hung in very odd places everywhere! The fridges were not working in either unit. When we asked to have them fixed, the owner’s husband had to fiddle with both of them to get them to function. To increase guest comfort, it would be helpful to provide tissues and face cloths. TV’s and ice would have been a great bonus! Re the kitchen unit: Cobwebs on the pots and pans in the kitchen unit. The armchair in the kitchen unit has one arm/side completely broken off and needs to go to the dump. The remote for the air conditioner wouldn’t work, so we couldn’t operate the AC in there for 2 nights out of 3, until it was replaced. Couldn’t open the windows to cool off at night because the neighbours have a cat that jumps into the house at every opportunity. Re the second floor unit: When I opened the drawer in the cardboard nightstand (yes - cardboard!) by the bed, I found a half used box of condoms and a half eaten candy bar! Clearly the room wasn’t properly cleaned or checked after the last guests departed. No soap, or place to put soap in the shower, which made things awkward. All in all, a rather disappointing stay!

I would love to stay here again someday to enjoy the charm of the old house.

This lodging is 2 rentable rooms in a very nice, old house in the city center, very close to the papal center and squares with shopping and dining. The hostess (owner of the house) was extremely hospitable and very helpful in getting me oriented for day of site seeing in Avignon (my first time there). She also made dinner reservations for me and provided a lot of good tips. The room was actually 2 separate rooms...a nice big sitting area and a normal sized bedroom.

Dream come true

Location was excellent with a taxi ride including tip costing 10 Euros. Michelle the owner welcomed us as if we were family. Her 17th Century home was a dream come true and is located close to all major tourist attractions but just a little bit off the beaten path. With her eclectic collection of art mainly from China, it was like staying in a museum.

Comfy, unique home with plenty of room.

Michelle is friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Her home is unique and comfortable and our room (with the washing machine) is on the first floor. There is air-conditioning in the bedroom. The sheets are crisp and ironed. The beds are firm. The bathroom has a shower. The kitchen has all the basic needs along with a refrigerator. It is a bit off the touristy area but is quiet and very secure. The home is quite old with very thick walls so not much noise is heard. The home is decorated with unique and original paintings and antiques. The only disappointment is the poor internet reception due to the thick walls.

This is a place with loads of personality. Lots of art and eclectic treasures. Good amount of space with a private living room adjacent to bedroom The host is amazing and helped us with some suggestions about local places to visit and things to do.

Beautiful host Michele, so attentive and helpful, so interesting person to speak. Location is perfect to explore Avignon, close to market where you could buy and eat local products. Apartment itself very comfortable and spacious, with so many beautiful details and decorations.

Świetna lokalizacja w centrum miasta, ale w bocznej uliczce, więc nie ma gwaru restauracji czy hałasu ruchu drogowego pod oknami. Wielkie okna na ciche podwórze, klimatyzacja w sypialni. Bardzo wygodne łóżko. Bardzo miła właścicielka władająca bardzo dobrym angielskim.
