Perfect Choice

I loved having my own little one bedroom apartment in Avignon, and the location was perfect. Short distance to many good restaurants and all the sites. Mathieu and Caroline are perfect hosts, the breakfasts were tres bien!

Host, Mathieu was absolutely fantastic and hospitable . Clean, cozy, comfortable and breakfast was fulsome, delicious and homemade. Bed and breakfast style. Everything you need is in the apartment.

A home away from home; with excellent local hosts - Mathieu and Caroline. Mathieu took the time to orientate me, shared great eating locations and tips to experience Avignon through the eyes of locals. A beautiful property, generous space, historical features preserved with the modern comforts.

Beautiful lodgings in Avignon!

Great location and very walkable. Our lovely room had a full kitchen and we enjoyed the pool and the delicious breakfasts. Our hosts were great and always helpful!

Great and comfortable stay with family

The location was ideally located within the city walls but it was very quiet at night The accomodation was cleaned dayly so everything was nice and clean Breakfast was optional, but is highly recommended! And mostly Mathieu was a great and kind host with many ideas for fun activities and helpful suggestions

Great location, fantastic host, and beautiful apartment

Great location within city walls. 5 minutes to town centre and attractions. Our host, Mathieu, was a brilliant host, and he sent us helpful instructions and tips for restaurants. The apartment was spacious and clean and well equipped. The terrace a geat addition. We cooled down and relaxed in the pool after a day of exploring. Breakfast made by Caroline is exceptional. A great find

The host was awesome, the place is pretty big. The kitchen is equipped. Easy walking distance to everything, old city Avignon is very small. Carrefour a four minute walk. Great Lebanese place Cedre like a 10 minute walk.

What a gem in Avignon's old town!

Simply incredible stay – from the communication with the stunningly friendly owner (who speaks perfect English), his great organisation of our arrival to the apartment itself. Mathieu welcomed us right in front of the door, helped us unloading our car and then drove with me to the private parking space which is a 5min walk away from the property (it costs 20 EUR per day but is totally worth it). Note: The apartment is inside the historic city wall but still outside Avignon's low emission zone so you don't need to worry about the "crit d'air" badge. And it also means that you're literally right inside the historic city center. The apartment we had is basically a big flat on two levels and boasts everything you might need. It's extremely (!) clean and has incredibly comfortable beds. There's also a beautiful outside area with a little swimming pool which works as a surprising quiet oasis (unfortunately we couldn't use it due to really bad weather). Plus: There's a well-stocked little supermarket right down the street (1min walk) with generous opening times and super-friendly staff.

Beautiful location in the heart of the beautiful city of Avignon! Lovely, large and well-equipped apartments in an ideal location for exploring the city and it’s surroundings.The garden is a little haven also with a relaxing pool and fantastic hosts that are truly devoted to making your stay both enjoyable and comfortable without being over-bearing.

The apartment is terrific. This is a small bed-and-breakfast type apartment building with personal service but and privacy you don't get in a typical BnB. I traveled with my teen son. He slept on the sofa bed in the kitchen/living area and I slept in the bedroom. Be aware the water closet and wash room are separated, with a single step up into each. They can only be entered from the bedroom. This did not pose any problems for us. All fixtures, furniture and furnishings appeared brand new and stylish. The design aesthetic was very good and the provisions provided were perfect - soaps, safe, robes, slippers, bedding, coffee/tea, etc. Ask the hosts for specific needs. The location is proximate to lovely courtyards, restaurants, creamerie... Ask the host for recommendations. We had no issue getting ubers from Avignon TGV to and from location. I used Enterprise rental car nearest the city, not at the train station for much better rates. Host helped with overnight parking of rental car at no additional charge. The location is so easy to get to from outside the walls, really great for in/out of town travel and there are hourly spaces on nearby streets. Nothing seems more than a 10 minute walk and you don't feel crowded. In addition, the hotel courtyard was so peaceful and lovely. We enjoyed our host provided breakfast there each morning. The breakfast was delicious and the surroundings were sublime. High-level service, food quality, room quality and peaceful surroundings. The sofa bed and queen bed sleep very well, and the bedding and towels are good quality. We had two excellent A/C units for each room. Four people might feel crowded, depends on your size and dynamics. It was perfectly spacious for myself and my teen son, and I could see that a couple and a teen son or two younger children would be just as comfortable. Depends on how you like to sleep and travel together. Highly recommend this location and these hosts.

It's a terrific place to stay and we would stay there again, absolutely! There's nothing at all wrong with it, but just an FYI - the drapes are not 100% light blocking, but are sufficiently light filtering. The room we stayed in is ground floor and street side. We could hear cars passing by, for instance. However, this is a side street, not a main street, with minimal motor and foot traffic, but if someone stands outside your window and talks you will hear them. That only happened once in three days. Be aware there is a high school(?) across the small street from the apartment. Being street side we could hear the students gathering before the gates opened and on one morning this was distruptive between 7am and 8am, I think. So if you stay in our room during the school year (ends mid-June?) you may hear the students in the morning and probably in the afternoon. If that sounds like an issue, ask the hosts about a different room that is not street level, would it be quieter. For those who are concerned about stairs, we had a 1-2 steps down into our room, and one step up to bathroom. There are also a few stairs or so up into the courtyard area. Rooms on the second floor have a staircase to navigate. Ask the hosts if you have concerns. I bet it would be a challenge to find a comparable quality stay in Avignon. We got used to the moments of street noise and enjoyed the location and accomodations.

Unfortunately we only had one night, but hosts were lovely and apartment is modern, very clean and comfortable with all amenities provided. Pool very welcomed after hot day sightseeing. Location is perfect for sightseeing with Bridge and Pope's Palace 10min away.

We traveled with 2 children (7 years and 10 months) - this apartment is very suitable for travelers with children! - very tasty breakfasts - swimming pool - our son used it every morning - the water was comfortable - we did not expect but daily housekeeping was included - Thanks! - Mathieu responded very quickly to our questions via WhatsApp - the location is in the city center - 10 minutes walk to the Palace - newly renovated apartments with new equipments - wine to buy in the kitchen - very good idea!
