Dont stop for Breakfast

Location. Confortable bed.

Only one Electric Socket in room. Difficult to usé bath/shower, its glass screen was at the far end from shower head. Toilet was located other side of fire door which was noisey to open. The breakfast staff didnt restock the croissants. When asked it took another 25mins to bake them. Staff wouldnt provide an omelet only scrambled eggs. Plates not collected from tables. No bakebeans, just an empty container. Soggy greasy hash brown. For us the Worst hotel breakfast.

A perfect and quiet location, with good ambience and space. Perfect in the Spring .

location was excellent and just a couple of minutes from the station, straight ahead. The staff in the dining room were good and helpful

my welcome was poor by the male person on the desk. Tourist tired. In my room i could hear the bathroom in the next room. Obviously not sure if this is true of all of the hotel, but I did ask for a quiet room

Convenient and well located

Location was top and garage was awesome. Also, staff was nice.

The baby cot had no mattress... only a blanket inside, so we couldn't use it. Also, there was blood in the room wall...

Worst Hotel I have been in my life.

Nothing. The property is overrated. It is a two star hotel at most. Do not stay at this hotel. Staff was not friendly. Room is unacceptable for a 4 star rating.

Night in Avignon to meet friends

We didn’t have breakfast but we did have dinner and found the starters and desserts perfect but a little disappointed by the main courses - my salmon gravadlax seemed to lack any curing and was missing the sauce usually served with gravadlax . The portions of fish were very small BUT the wine recommendation was excellent

Good location, nice courtyard

Room was a "superior" room, and I found it not particularly superior. The room was split into an entrance lobby with the Toilet, and the main room with the bathroom containing above bath shower and sink. (No toilet) Not particularly convenient if one had to use the toilet in the middle of the night. The shower was over the bath, so not all convenient for those with any limited mobility. There was a window separating the shower from the bedroom, and it was easy to end up with the bed getting wet from the shower! Wifi was extremely poor and unreliable. I ended up having to walk to the station to buy a ticket because I could not order it online. The breakfast was self service and pretty poor with limited hot food choice. No decaf coffee on offer When stuff ran out, it was not always quickly replaced. Although it was "OK", I would not go back and I expected a better experience for the price.

The room was on two floors. The bathroom was down below steep stairs. There was no mirror in the room. The shower was in a bath tub which had high sides so was difficult to get into and out of when wet and slippery.

Perfect little hotel for easy access to Avignon and a bit of relaxation too.

We stayed in a room at the top with 3 circular windows and a small openable skylight above the bed and it was very quaint. The pool had a lovely sunset and was perfect after a day exploring. The main courtyard at the hotel was very pretty too and it was really easy to get there from the train station.

You just have to be careful not to bang your head on the way into the room as the ceiling is low.

Amazing location, depressing room

The location is perfect. Steps from the railway station and at the entrance of the historical center. The breakfast is not on the four-star-hotel level but decent. Good air conditioning and wifi.

The main disappointment was the look of the room. The building, the courtyard, and the restaurant are beautiful, however the rooms look like student dorms, the furniture is old, and generally you get the feeling of shabby but not chic. The bathroom seems to have all necessities, yet the shower did not work well and the bath was clogged.

Perfect base

Brilliant location, short walk from the station and perfect base for exploring the various lovely areas of central Avignon. Good selection for breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting too. Nice pool terrace.

Minor thing but layout of the building and rooms are a little odd, but understandable in a converted old building, although modern bit is also odd!

Good location

Location was perfect to walk around also 10 minute walk from the railway station. Property is clean and tidy .

I stayed in the modern part of the hotel which is accessible by lift only . The room was on 2 levels not good if you are elderly and need to lift luggage. Toilet and bathroom down stairs and just bed upstairs . No sockets next to the bed

Wonderful place to stay in beautiful Avignon .

Location was excellent and very quiet, near to all that Avignon has to offer. We were upstairs in the loft where the bedroom and sitting area was and spent most time up there. Beautiful building with so much history , nice view of the courtyard and roof tops from the one big porthole window ! Bed was very large and comfortable, everything was so clean, they are very proud to keep up an excellent standard. Staff were all wonderful and friendly and always pleasantly approachable for any information you may require. We did not have breakfast but what we saw of it looked pretty good and substantial. Very large bathroom with good water temperature and pressure in bath/shower. Really felt good and special staying here and would do so again in an instant if we are lucky enough to return in the future !

The stairs up and down to the loft could be a bit tricky and scary for people who have walking difficulties and leg problems ! The shower in the bath would also be difficult to climb over the high bath edge with not much to hold onto !

Great hotel in a terrific location for seeing the sights of Avignon. Comfortable and good sized rooms in a modern hotel inside an historic building. Very secure, gated, parking specifically for the hotel gives peace of mind if, like us, you’re travelling with a fully laden car through France.

Location was great

AC didn't work and staff didn't care. Room was cleaned but no new towels or simple things like water glasses were not cleaned or replaced. the hair dryer never worked. Simple questions to staff was short answers like we were bothering them.

Not really a four star property

Our stay here proved yet again that if something seems too good to be true, it usually is. We were seduced by remarkably low rates for a four-star hotel, and quickly found out why. The four-star rating must have been obtained years ago because, while the hotel is located in a beautiful historic building, the property itself is tatty, tired, and poorly managed. Here’s a non-exhaustive list of things we found that one would normally not expect to find in a four-star hotel: terribly lumpy foam-chip pillows, non-functioning air-conditioning and heating you cannot turn off, fake flowers in the lobby, an absence of bathrobes in the rooms, signs of neglect everywhere you look, an officious and vindictive front desk clerk who enjoys her small power way too much. All in all, a highly disappointing stay, not worth the bargain rates.

Pleasant Stay

I wasn't expecting it to be so grand upon entry, it's a historically impressive building. The staff upon arrival was very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The fridge in our room was quite noisy, the room was quite warm and we couldn't seem to get the a/c to work.
