We highly recommend this B & B.

We chose to stay in Avignon as a central location to get an overview of Provence. We chose this bed and breakfast in hopes we’d have a quiet and comfortable place to get over jet lag. We enjoyed the location, and the bed-and-breakfast was quiet, very comfortable and the hosts gracious. The breakfast was good and hosts offered sightseeing advice. We highly recommend this B & B.

Exceptional guest house with high standards.

The accommodation was pleasant, quiet and clean. Room was spacious, nicely furnished, with everything we needed. Hosts friendly, welcoming, helpful. We particularly liked the communal breakfast table, where everyone exchanged experiences each morning. Fellow guests were generally of a mature age and background which meant intelligent conversation and no noise. Located within ten minutes walk of train and bus stations, tourist attractions within 15-20 minutes. Helpful recommendations of restaurants so you can avoid the nastiness of the main street.

Great location in Central Avignon. Perfect base for us to tour the area.

Central Avignon location with great access to restaurants and all attractions yet very quiet. Quirky accommodation with good size room and bathroom, clean and comfortable. Outside space for relaxing. Helpful hosts. Good breakfast taken with other visitors was a fun start to the day with chat, recommendations for daytrips etc.

It couldn't have been better...highly recommend.

The hosts were so friendly and warm...they made staying in their B & B like staying in their home. Our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the outdoor space was great for morning coffee! An afternoon swim was a cherry on top!

Beautiful apartment in beautiful grounds. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious with such a good variety of things to choose from. Swimming pool was a perfect temperature and such a luxury on a sunny afternoon. Perfect location for all the sights in Avignon.

First visit to Avignon

Beautiful, quiet setting inside the walled city of Avignon. The location was easy to find by car. The room was large with comfortable beds. The hosts provided a nice breakfast and had great recommendations for local restaurants that were within easy walking distances.

Five stars!

Lovely large, high-ceilinged room with a cool, clean aesthetic. Perfectly located a few minutes’ walk from the main street. Very friendly and helpful hosts, a good range of food at breakfast. We were delighted with the experience, and will recommend it to out friends.

Centrally located, quiet and tranquil with a great breakfast

Great location in a quiet street only 10 minutes from the main attractions. Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Very comfortable bed and marvellous shower. Excellent breakfast. Parking much appreciated.

Beautiful historical property in a great location

The location was excellent. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, and had excellent suggestions for local restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable, and a good size for two people. The house is a 14th century building and an absolutely unique property which has been beautifully restored. The breakfast was fantastic, with a great range of fresh food each day. Parking on site was safe and secure, and easy to access.

We could easily hear the occupants in the next room. Unfortunately we couldn't get the air conditioning in our room to work.

The perfect boutique B&B

A real hidden gem , the host were very welcoming and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible . The pool surrounded by lovely trees and gardens is well maintained and makes for a relaxing place to relax after visiting the beautiful city of Avignon and surroundings. The room was spacious and well designed with a very comfortable bed. Loved the l'Occitane products in the bathroom. The breakfast was a highlight, the communal table is great to exchange travelling tips with some lovely people. The food was delicious with fresh fruits grown in the gardens, delicious pastries and options to meet special dietary requirements. A lot of care for details ( down to offering to park our car for us in the private parking they provide) made our stay there very easy and special at the same time. The owners created the kind of experience you want to find everywhere you travel. Hospitality at its very best.

Great base to explore Avignon and surrounding area.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at L’Observance. Our hosts were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Our room was large and cool for sleeping. We could relax at the pool after days out. A great holiday and would recommend anyone to stay at the B&B

Exellent short stay in Avignon.

Very nice host. She was friendly and helpful when planning dinner around town. the room was comfortable and perfect for our 3 day trip to Avignon. Everything is in walking distance, so we did not need our car for the entire weekend. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hosts make the experience!

Amazing hosts - they were extremely welcoming and kind! My partner is a passionate cyclist and they were super supportive of him - lent him water bottles, gave him lots of tips and even offered him their bike for a short ride. The property is also beautiful, tastefully renovated and the breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Would definitely recommend.

The perfect place to stay in Avignon

L'Observance is rather special - an old monastery beautifully recreated as a lovely small hotel with every possible comfort, as well as a terrace perfect for relaxing after days out in Avignon, its surrounding villages and nearby cities, e.g. Aix. The hosts are great - friendly, efficient and helpful with suggestions without being obtrusive. I've been to Avignon a number of times before, and l'Observance is now the place where I'll always choose to stay.
