Good

A bit too rustic

We had a wonderful stay at Maison Orsini and would happily return. The property is full of character and history, with beautiful old rooms, tasteful décor, and stunning views across the Rhône toward Avignon. The atmosphere is both elegant and relaxed, making it a perfect base for exploring Provence. Folco was an exceptional host—welcoming, attentive, and always ready with helpful suggestions that made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, with a generous selection of cheeses, cold cuts, fresh bread, pastries, fruit, and other local specialties, all served in a beautiful setting. One of the highlights of our stay was dinner at Restaurant Jacqueline, located within Maison Orsini. Chef Séverine Sagnet creates seasonal cuisine inspired by local producers and Provençal traditions, with creativity and attention to detail. Dining on the terrace overlooking Avignon was a memorable experience, and meeting Chef Séverine in person made the evening even more special. Maison Orsini was an ideal base for our visits to Avignon, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Arles, Gordes, Sénanque Abbey, and the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region. Folco’s recommendations were always excellent, including practical tips such as using the Palais des Papes parking garage for easy access to Avignon’s old town and Rocher des Doms. For those who enjoy walking, it is also possible to reach old Avignon on foot via the bridge from Villeneuve-lès-Avignon in about 30 minutes, a pleasant option when the weather is not too hot. Another advantage of the location is that the historic centre of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, with its cafés, restaurants, bars, and occasional live music, is only about a five-minute walk away. For guests who occasionally want a break from restaurant dining, the large E.Leclerc shopping centre in nearby Les Angles is a great option.

A small suggestion for improvement: adding a wall mount for the handheld shower in the bathtub would make showering more comfortable.

Incredible historic building in an amazing location with an authentic and very accomodating host. If you want a modern hotel with a full range of modern amenities and luxuries, look elsewhere but you will be missing out!

The view was wonderful! The breakfast was great. The neighborhood was super. Lots to walk to. Loved it there!

I liked everything about the property. We also loved the pool.
