Location, spacious, concept, facilities
Downstairs lodge but better access outside from patio doors with secure locking system. Bathroom shelves. Shoe rack and washing up liquid and sponge.

I’ve stayed here previously and had no problems at all, lovely and quiet and clean, tidy rooms in the hall
I stayed in a Helvellyn 2 this time that looked out onto a small courtyard in the back instead of the normal lake facing rooms I’ve had previously. There was a very loud fire door of some sort that kept banging shut and woke me at 2am, then again at 4am, but this went onto open and close every 5/10 mins till about 5.45am when it eventually stopped. No one wants to start their day at 4am on a Sunday!
