Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was good value for money and a chalet style location. Very quiet, although the walls appeared a little thin on the second morning - I could hear someone in the next room moving around. However, for the value - no complaints,
Nothing but good value for money. I wouldn't pay more than I did, so I think it was perfectly priced.

We stayed on a room only basis. The setting and view were amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable.
I received an email explaining how to find our lodge located in the grounds of the estate and suggesting that it was not necessary to check in at reception. The map was not very clear and the signage for directions and parking could have been better. Also the locks on the doors needed a bit of trial and error to work out. Lastly, a bit of a trek with our luggage from the car to our lodge.

A small basic room was perfect for a weekend of focusing on study. Being able to wander to Ambleside was perfect. Was nice to be able to crash the celebration that was happening. Not enough places do cheap basic solo stays.

The room and facilities are basic in the single room annexe, but that was expected for the price.
Location was great, the grounds are very nice and it was very quiet as the single rooms are in a separate block from the main house...and whilst I was there, I was the only one in the block.
Parking is right next to the accommodation, and easy access back down to the road.
Bed was comfortable, and I don't move around alot, so single was fine.
Could have been cleaner, some mould on the shower etc, which for me is an easy win to remove.
