My stay at Palazzo Veneziano – Venice Collection in Dorsoduro was a truly delightful experience and a highlight of my time in Venice.
The hotel is located in the charming and quieter Dorsoduro district, which offers a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the busy tourist hubs, yet remains well-connected to all major attractions. One of the biggest advantages is the proximity to a vaporetto (water bus) station, making it very easy to get around the city.
The hotel arranged a private airport transfer for €95. While the service was smooth and convenient, the cost did feel quite steep compared to other transport options. However, it did provide a seamless and stress-free arrival experience.
What really stood out was the exceptional customer care. The staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and always willing to help, ensuring that every aspect of the stay was comfortable and well-managed.
We had booked a canal view room, and it was absolutely worth it. Waking up to the serene canal views and enjoying the beautiful sunsets right from the room was a memorable experience. The peaceful surroundings of the neighborhood added to the charm, making it a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Venice.
The breakfast was another highlight—generous, well-prepared, and offering a great variety to start the day on a high note.
Overall, Palazzo Veneziano combines a fantastic location, excellent service, and beautiful accommodations. Despite the slightly expensive airport transfer, the overall experience was outstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic stay in Venice.

We were so happy with the location of this hotel, right on the waterfront in a peaceful Dorsoduro neighborhood near the university. There were 2 vaporetto stops within easy walking distance. This is a less touristy district than San Polo, and a wonderful relief from the crowds after a day walking around San Marco and San Polo. You can easily reach both by boat or walking the beautiful area. You walk out the front door and are on the long boardwalk with restaurants, cafes and gelato. No huge crowds, just a lovely view of the canal and gorgeous sunset.
Our room was supper clean as was the whole hotel. The bed was comfortable with good linens and the large shower with rain head was great.
Hot and cold breakfast buffet was plentiful with made to order cappuccino.
Staff was friendly and helpful and arranged both our smooth transfer in and out by water taxi, meeting us at the airport with our name as promised.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and location to friends and family.

We loved the location as it was slightly outside of the busier part of Venice but close enough to be there in a couple of mins to walk. The bar was great - loved the knowledge the bar man had and great cocktails!
Our room sadly was not great. It was too small, the air con didn’t work which we mentioned to the staff but it didn’t seem to be fixed. We upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi and went to turn it on on the last night - didn’t work. We could hear next doors working so clearly just a problem with ours. Also sounds daft but the mini bar fridge was so noisy at night it woke us up more than once! Sadly the room was not worth the upgrade and for this reason we would not return.
