Excess Venice Boutique Hotel & Private Spa - Adults Only

Great location close enough to walk everywhere but away from the throngs. The garden is lovely, staff helpful. Decor nice throughout the hotel, we had a very small terrace off of our room (26) but it had high walls and no view so we didn’t use it. I’m sure a room at the front would be lovely overlooking the canal! Nice toiletries in the bathroom and very nice robes and slippers. Overall a very pleasant stay but pricey.

It’s only a small design fault but the kettle and coffee maker were on a top shelf and plugged in behind so they couldn’t easily be moved. So it was virtually impossible to use. I didn’t like the space saving wardrobe / fridge set up as it was not in character.. There was hanging space but no drawers and very few hangers. The bathroom was very small and L shaped so hard to navigate and you had to almost walk through the shower to get to the toilet, it was an ingenious use of under stairs space but not that practical!

The staffs was not very helpful. We just wanna change the payment method they can’t help us! What a poor customer service!

Luxury suite, private spa, very good breakfast, the bed sheets are beautifully smooth and silky, and some of the furniture and fittings are delightful.

We enjoyed the location but some might prefer something more central

Breakfast was priced too high at 35 euros. If it was a bit cheaper I think more people would take it giving a better atmosphere to the place

One member of staff was particularly irksome . She insisted the steamer was working when it was not. I had to really insist and demonstrate that it was not and eventually it came back sorted . The other time she insisted she had turned off the air conditioning in my room when she had not . Eventually she conceded she had made a mistake. This is the sort of thing you can do without on holiday
