This hotel was fabulous. The location was perfect, right on the lagoon with the vaporetto boat-bus just yards away. The staff was super helpful and friendly, always greeting us with a smile and willing to answer any and all of the mundane tourist questions. There are several parlors decorated in vintage style throughout the hotel which made you feel like you were part of a different era. The bedroom was clean, quite large, and very comfortable. Many restaurants and cafes are very close walking distance from the hotel.

Felt like magic.

We were in Venice for only two nights and stranded after our initial accommodation had fallen through. Within an hour we had booked and confirmed an incredible garden-view room which overlooked the water. After a long day of travelling and a brief moment of panic, the staff here were so warm and understanding. Truly felt like a dream! It was so close to the central areas while being tucked away in the Dorsoduro, so not too crowded and very peaceful. I hope we can come back soon.

I liked the location but the instructions to get to the hotel were horrible when we were literally in front of it. went to an area in the back and then was brought back to the front were we were. if you put the right directions first it would have saved a lot of grief and aggravation to start us on in Venice.

Lovely refined comfortable.

The staff was wonderful. The hotel is lovely with elegant charm. Breakfast while an extra charge is very good!. There are stairs and more stairs and in some cases more stairs. Just FYI. The bellman works very hard and thank goodness for them.

Classic, hidden Venice

The location, the very large bedroom in classic Venitian palazzo style (not kitsch), fantastic view from 3 windows overlooking the Giudecca Canal, drinks on the terrace of adjacent sister-property Hotel La Calcina. This old-fashioned building is full of understated charm.

The two bedrooms overlooking the canal are in a building wing very far from the lobby, on a high floor without lift.

Fraudulent and disgusting once inside -- beware!

The location. Zattare is great and super convenient. The bedroom is almost as nice as the photos depict, but there is no dresser and no mirror (except the one above sink in bathroom and an antique smoked antique mirror for decorative purposes in the antechamber).

The reception made us pay in full before seeing the room. We got in to be sorely disappointed. The bathroom was falling apart. I took photos and a video -- the electric plug and socket were falling out of the wall by the sink, the ceiling was cracked by water damage and the paint was peeling, the shower cabin was teeny tiny so you could barely fit and the wall around it and window on one wall also had paint peeling -- the walls all over were soiled with odd spills and chipped paint, there were tiles coming out of the bathroom wall, plus aside from a small rug, the halls and antechamber had cold concrete floors, there was only one tiny plastic cup provided for us, on a shelf in the bathroom. They give no coffee or water in room. They never answered any of the multiple daily messages I sent via booking,com and claim they never received them (oddly every other hotel has responded almost immediately). I told them about problems on our first night and the man at the front desk simply said "some of our bathrooms are old." Lastly, they charged 5 euro for a coffee, which is fine, but they gave NOTHING, not even a water or a cup of coffee, to make us feel welcome. It was disgusting. And they were not honest in answering booking.com customer service when we tried to get any refund, saying we never complained.

The staff was excellent, friendly, and always available. The concierge held my bag for the day and even loaded it into a water taxi for me to meet me at the train station - her customer service was superb and I’m so grateful for her!

Bathroom was large and very clean, my sink didn’t drain very quickly, but shower was sooo comfortable.

Perfect!

Staff was excellent and friendly. The room clean with AC and very comfortable. Jew from our room was beautiful. No crowds here, but easy to get to San Marco, the sights and crowds… Classy and elegant. Definitely worth our visit to Venice.

Nice view, but not justified "bang for the bucks"

Location, well connected to the public ACTV vaporetto boats. Breakfast possibillities near i.e. Gelateria Nico. Academia and Peggy Guggenheim museum near. View to the Canal and St Giorgio etc - very nice! Hallways with the vibe of old, dracula style chapel :) Keeping of luggage outside check-times at the reception. Reception speaks some languages and helpful.

Confusing entrances, doubling of hotel property and shared with La Calcina hotel. Bad google maps entry. Already known to hotel but not fixing it. During storm front door closed without notification in advance, late and after midnight reception locks inner door of hotel so guests can not enter (without intervention by the reception personnel) with their own room keys. Low water pressure, in the room with the canal view on the upper floor. Not sure if all rooms have this issue, but definitely low quality showering, despite the vintage bathroom looks. Room has run into it's years, the floor marble could be renovated and also the windows and the walls, before they crumble more. Bad somewhat hard and size could be larger. Somewhat overpriced IMHO.

sweet and good hotel

I like all 👍hotel is very sweet and personal is excellent, they were very friendly and helpful. we arrived late night, reception manager help us for check in . they have good breakfast(1 per-15€) it was completely and tasty👍 lunch is also paid. restaurant personal also very nice. I want specially say thanks to receptionist Lorella. she is very kindly, friendly and helpful. I want came back again and again
