Great hospitality, rooms could be improved on.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. They provided great suggestions for activities and meals on the island, and were available to support whenever we needed something.

The apartment was directly next to a loud road, making the experience less peaceful, and there were quite a lot of ants all around the rooms.

People were nice.

Location is far from everywhere. The room was clean but it was old stuff. We had both rooms of the floor and so the shared bathroom was just for us but anybody from another floor could have come in to use the bathroom. Not what we wanted. Probably our mistake when booking. We left the place and when somewhere else.

Superior Studio very disappointing

The pool was lovely.

Everything apart from the pool. The owner was very welcoming on arrival. We were given earplugs and told there ‘may be some street noise’, we were also advised of this when be booked. Our room was nowhere near the pool, it was above the reception area on the street, so photos misleading. We were shown to our room and honestly it was reminiscent of our backpacker days in the early 1990’s, low budget, very basic and not quite the ‘superior studio’ we had envisaged for £90 a night. We’d had a long journey so went for dinner and thought we would make any decisions in the morning. Unfortunately we were both struck down with food poisoning (not from this hotel, a nearby restaurant) so could do nothing for more than 2 days. When we felt better we approached the owner and said we would stay for the remainder of the week but wished to cancel the 2nd week as the room was not up to standard and the noise was continuous 24/7. She actually agreed that she wouldn’t sleep in that room! We asked for a refund for the second week but were told ‘not possible’ we were offered an upgrade for 2 nights. We just wanted to leave. We contacted Booking.com with photos and they tried to mediate but could not reach an agreement with the owner, who flatly refused to refund the second week when we wouldn’t be staying. The ‘superior studio’ was not as advertised, it should be advertised as budget accommodation for young travellers who would probably be happy to pay £20 a night for the accommodation. Luckily, booking.com were incredibly helpful and gave us a credit for our next booking. Don’t always believe the great reviews, the owner may have been ‘lovely’ but this doesn’t mean you should put up with inferior accommodation.

Beautiful and relaxing

First of all, the host Wawa (and her staff) was amazing. Sweet, warm and helpful. Even though we didn’t book breakfast we recieved a small snack on the porch every morning. The room was beautiful and clean. Location was close to everything.

When you are there, you feel at home. Wawa takes care of everything, helps in every situation and suggests what is worth seeing and what is not – a Woman with her heart on her sleeve. Delicious breakfasts – scooters on site, laundry facilities, a 7/11 shop right next door – this place has everything. You're sure to relax and have a great time here!

Excellent resort - would 100% recommend

Everything! We loved staying at this resort, it is super clean (you have to take your shoes off to go into reception and your room - which tells you a lot!) it also gets cleaned everyday too, your fridges are restocked with water, cola and snacks. The pool area is stunning, the wifi works super fast, the shower worked fantastic. It’s a very relaxing environment and the grounds are kept extremely well. The lady that runs the place, Miss Wawa, goes above and beyond and you can tell she genuinely likes her job and is a kind and caring person. She made our stay even better, she was very attentive, any time we needed her she would be there immediately. She is the star of the resort! Would 100% recommend this stay to anyone, it’s a real hidden gem!

Disappointing and not like photos at all

Clean bedding, comfortable bed.

Our room overlooked the main island road therefore noisy from early and until late. Pictures make the room and furnishings look much newer than they are. Receptionist/owner was never actually at reception so we had to ring a bell and wait. Didn't even see them the day we checked out, just left the key on the desk. A lot of money by Thailand standards.

Peaceful

Exceptional

Comfort, cleanliness and location along with eager to please staff made our 3 week stay a peaceful and restful experience at Na Vela Village . Super comfortable bed and stylish accommodation in one of the lovely poolside bungalows, set well back from the road . The pool itself was exceptionally clean and well cared for with comfortable loungers .The garden and grounds were all constantly attended to.

The welcoming owner, the beautiful pool, the outdoor bathroom, it’s close to the beach and we have had the best meal closeby. We choose this spot because it’s very near to the ferry, would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect stay @ Koh Lanta!!

We enjoyed our stay at Na Vela very much. We were in the Pavilion, which is beautifully furnished and designed! We had enough space and it’s quiet in the evening. At the same time you can walk in a few minutes to a variety of restaurants and stores. For 200 BTH per day we rented a scooter at the hotel and explored the whole island (recommend to go to Nui Bay beach, which is in our opinion the most beautiful of koh lanta and the route there on the scooter is a lot of fun). The hostess Wawa is super friendly and helpful. will come again the next time we‘re on Koh Lanta.

Just what we needed

Wawa was amazing, really made our stay. The villa’s are amazing, so clean, so modern, beds are super comfy and the room is very spacious. The pool area is beautifully done as well.

It could do with some sort of bar/restaurant but there are some Good options within 5 min walk.

Excellent hostility and totally worth the price

The location was great. The pool is very nice, so are Wawa and her partner. Exceptionally helpful and welcoming, would definitely stay there if visiting Ko Lanta again.

The rooms we stayed in were in the main road but honestly wasn’t bothering me too much since I’m sleeping with earplugs on and couldn’t hear anything.

Comfy villas around a pool

We had an amazing stay at Na Vela Village. The villas around the pool are fantastic and extremely comfy. The pool itself was also really good. We felt well looked after by the owners and staff, they were extremely helpful and lovely to us the whole time we were there. We also rented a motorbike from them, which was a bonus for travelling around Lanta to different beaches. An extremely well run family resort, i would recommend to anyone. We would happily return and stay again.

Great stay, spotless room and great staff

Loved the pool, staff were super friendly and made me feel really comfortable. The room was really big, had a nice sized balcony and was spotless.

It’s on a made road so it can be quite noisy and relatively far away from the main areas of Ko Lanta - which is fine if you hire a moped out :)

This Small Hotel is a perfect Escape. Very silent and very beautiful pool and Villas...and the Smell of the Towels was amazing ;-). The Host was very polite and always Trying to make us feel very comfortable and welcome. I really recommend this nice place, it was the best hotel during our stay in Thailand

Avoid the room with a balcony!

The host tried to make it ok.

My room was facing the main road of the island and windows provide no acoustic isolation. Sleep is impossible. Location is very unfortunate, not quite close to anything. Especially the beach. View from the windows is depressing.

Nous avons passé un séjour simplement parfait. Cian a été un hôte exceptionnel : très accueillant, toujours souriant et attentif, il a fait absolument tout pour nous faciliter la vie. La chambre correspondait parfaitement à la description et était irréprochable, tant sur l’entretien que sur la propreté et la décoration. Les petites attentions quotidiennes ont été particulièrement appréciées. Les extérieurs sont parfaitement entretenus, propres et très agréables. Le logement est situé à l’arrière de la route principale, ce qui permet de profiter d’un environnement calme, sans presque aucune nuisance sonore, tout en ayant tous les commerces à proximité. Nous avons été sincèrement tristes de quitter ce logement qui a, de loin, été le meilleur de tout notre séjour. Une adresse que nous recommandons sans la moindre hésitation. Et qui c’est nous y reviendrons peut être avec grand plaisir.

Palvelu oli erinomaista! Majapaikan pitäjä Wawa oli upea, hän oli aina tavoitettavissa whatsapilla nopeasti ja saimme sujuvasti kaikki asiamme ja toiveemme hoidettua. Hän oli avuksi kaikessa ja antoi myös paljon neuvoja ja vinkkejä tekemiseen, ravintoloihin jne. Lisäksi hän toi joka aamu aamiaista terassille, vaikka aamiainen ei kuulu hintaan. Huvila aivan uima-altaan lähellä oli ihana ja rauhallinen, tänne olisi mielellään jäänyt pidemmäksikin aikaa! Tunnelma oli kokonaisuudessaan todella rauhallinen ja täydellinen pariskunnille.

Siivooja unohti käydä kahtena päivänä, mutta heti kun kerroimme asiasta, siivous hoidettiin heti ja täydellisesti. Viimeisenä yönä huvilan seinänaapuriin tuli kaksi nuorta irlantilaista naista bilettämään ja polttamaan pilveä keskellä yötä, muutoin oli todella rauhallista.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Das Hotel war äußerst sauber und gepflegt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, bei der man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Die Lage war top. Auch der Pool war sehr gut und hat zur Entspannung beigetragen. Insgesamt haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Chambre très confortable, spacieuse avec mini cuisine, avec une piscine vraiment sublime, propre et bien entretenue - très agréable ! Localisation plutôt au nord de l’île, avec accès rapide à beaucoup de points d’intérêts. Mention spéciale aux gérants qui sont vraiment adorables !

Si vous craignez le bruit de la route pensez à demander une chambre qui ne donne pas côté route. C’est le seul bémol, mais Wawa nous a fourni des bouchons d’oreille sans que nous ayons rien eu à demander et nous avons très bien dormi sans bouchons.

Tout était absolument parfait dans cet établissement. Le personnel était d’une grande gentillesse et très professionnel, la propreté irréprochable et la piscine vraiment agréable. L’emplacement est idéal, proche de tout. Rien à redire, ils ont été incroyables du début à la fin.
