Good budget option in peaceful location

Staff were lovely and helped arrange taxi for us, and cleaned our room during our stay. The location is great and resort is very peaceful, we were happily surprised by the pool when we arrived as didn’t realise this was here which is a bonus. Also a lovely little ginger cat who stayed in our terrace!

The bungalow itself is very basic, the bed is very uncomfortable and only has one thin pillow each and sheet. Air con very loud as the wind hits the building and the shower was bad, almost no water pressure and the temperature didn’t work so went cold on and off, and the shower head holder was broken. Overall it’s a good budget stay and is a really nice location on a very relaxing beach, close to 7/11 and great bars and restaurants.

Bungalow close to the beach

Great location, less than a minute to the beach front. Lovely beach with lots of restaurants to choose from. There is a pool although some days was a bit dirty. Staff always willing to help, got us multiple taxis and helped arrange a day trip around the island which was lovely. 5 mins to a 7 eleven. 2 min walk to the main road where taxis were always available too. The room had air con with fridge and a kettle. The bathroom was spacious. Little porch outside each room with 2 chairs, lovely to sit out during the day.

Could have done with another blanket, there was only one fleece throw for a double bed… no housekeeping during the stay so make sure if you need it put the sign on the door (we didn’t realise this during our stay). No safe. Rooms a little dated. Aircon very loud and made a few weird noises but overall a comfortable and reasonable stay! Would come here again!

Nice stay in Koh Lanta

Safa at the reception was an amazing host. She was zo kind and helpful. We had a problem in our room in de middle of the night and they gave as without any hesitation a new room. The location is nice and quiet. You do need to take a taxi or scooter to go to the walking street. But there is more the enough restaurants and beach bars next to the hotel.

Amazing

Staffs are all very nice including cleaner. Place is clean. Beautiful place To chill on the beach. Easily accessible To everywhere. Peaceful Met a resident stray orange cat. Fed her 4 canned food 2 in the day and 2 at night daily throughout my stay. Thanks To her the whole experience was so good. Can anyone reply Me If she has a caretaker? So worried for her because she can eat alot!

Chaotic

We thought Dominic, was very good under very trying circumstances . He had little control over the staff despite trying to be very helpful to the guests. He had limited equipment to share around.

We booked 3 deluxe rooms. None of the rooms were the same.We had to ask for kettles cups and clothes hangers and somewhere to actually hang the clothes up. A kettle first given to us smelt of fish. The drying rack on one of the rooms balcony was stolen by another guests and our clothes just thrown on the floor. We had a sleepless night as the "chef" had clearly too much to drink and proceeded to start shouting at 3am he was very aggressive. Another guest complained he had been a propositioned by the bar staff in an inappropriate manner.The booking was made by booking .com and said pay by Mastercard on arrival. We were then told cash only . They had no card reader I then wanted to pay by bank transfer and an additional charge of 1999.0 baht was added to the bill l received a refund of 900 baht after complaining . Should be a good resort but needs sorting out.

Fantastic team, location and would 10/10 recommend ☺️

We had a fantastic stay at Scandinavian Resort and Dominic, Chef, the Viking team and the rest of the guests made our NYE celebrations memorable! Great location on Khlong Khong beach and centered on the island. Rooms were simple but perfectly adequate, and the restaurant food was delicious. Would 10/10 recommend and hope to visit again :)

Our paradise holiday

An absolutely stunning place capturing the real essence of Thailand. Scandinavian Resort was comfortable, clean, air conditioned, metres from the beach, and Dominic is an incredible host. The price of our room was very reasonable and there are plenty of places to explore nearby. We cannot wait to return very soon!

Fab little resort with great host

Great little resort which was very reasonably priced. The host (Dom) was superb, extremely helpful & welcoming, a real asset to the resort. If you want seclusion this is a great place to stay. The bungalows are well maintained, good WiFi etc. I would defo use again if I return to Lanta. I extended my stay from my original 2 nights to 7 nights. Thanks Dom for all your assistance etc.

Great resort right on a fantastic strip of beach

Dominic, the manager could not have been more helpful and welcoming. He made our stay. Shout to Aragon, the cat! The resort is right on the beach with fantastic views of the sunset. It is at the end of strip with a great selection of boho bars/restaurants. The beach is super chilled, not a party beach. Big comfortable bed with great AC.

Restaurant does not open until 11am so you will need to go elsewhere for your morning coffee fix. Room could do with a bit of updating. As backpackers this place was perfect for us but if you are looking for super high end then this would not be for you. Overall great value for money for what you get.

10 days in paradise 😊

We had a wonderful stay here! The resort is a true slice of heaven with an amazing team! The bungalows are simple, comfy&functional and you can hear the ocean from your porch. The bar is located on the beach where you can enjoy amazing food, drinks and beautiful sunsets. Even if there is still some little things to improve, the manager will find quick solutions to any problem and will literally move mountains if it can make your day better. In general, the team is really friendly and always willing to help! Bonus point: they have the cutest cat of the beach! Aragorn ❤️

Some small furnitures are missing in the new bungalows to make them perfect.

New, cool spot on the beach

Scandinavian definitely exceeded our expectations for a cool, new resort on the beach. Just what we were looking for, nice hangout spot and awesome sunset view. It is new, so to anyone who wants to stay keep in mind they're upgrading the facilities. The superior suites look great! Our beds in the orange bungalows were not hard, which is nice for a change in Thailand! Thanks to Dom for the excellent communication and helping us out with recommendations and transport (and letting us steal his cat.. we love you Aragon!)

hygge it is not!

Staff, owners and location on the beach are perfect. Restaurant is new, clean and serves a (very) small menu when open. The Scandinavian is newly opened and clearly has some operational issues, but I really wish them future success.

The so called 'Deluxe Double Room' is a depressing little prison cell that certainly does not have sea views! There is nowhere to hang clothes or put your bags. Just a dirty, smelly fridge; a small wooden shelf from the ikea reject bin and a really annoying tiny plastic plant in a tiny teapot by the sink (why?). There isn't even a towel rail or a place to put the soap in the shower! The Scandinavian is either very overpriced or massively under appointed and would be advised to address this ASAP for its short term future.

Superb

Great resort, beautiful location. Loved our four nights there in one of the bungalows. It's just opened and they're working out the kinks a bit (for example, the restaurant is open sporadically), but the price is right and the staff are all super welcoming. Recommended for anyone looking for a comfy no-frills vacation spot.

Superb

We had a perfect stay at the Scandinavian and can recommend it unreservedly. We were warmly welcomed by Dom and Björn and James made us a spectacular Mai Tai served in a pineapple. The very best cocktails on this beach and we can definitely say that as we tried many bars on the beach ;-). The bungalows are a good size and very clean. Dom is always there if you need anything. We felt so comfortable that we extended our stay for three more nights. Hopefully we'll see each other again. We wish you all the best!

Wspaniałe miejsce spędzenie spokojnego czasu blisko morza.

Resort położony jest nad samym morzem, tak że krótką ścieżką miedzy domkami dochodzi się prosto na plażę. Domek z klimatyzacjà, dużym podwójnym, wygodnym łóżkiem, wnęką imitującą szafę (bardzo przydatne w trakcie dłuższego pobytu) czytą jasną łazienką. Wszystko urządzone w stylu skandynawskim (jak nazwa wskazuje ;-). W resorcie znajduje się bar serwujący napoje i jedzenie). Goście mogą korzystać na plaży z leżaków i wielkich poduch. Obsługa jest bardzo miła i pomocna. Spędziłam tam tydzień i jestem bardzo zadowolona z pobytu.

Super easy check-in, 100 m zum beach, kleine Anlage & super nette Mitarbeiter! Für ein paar Tage oder länger, können wir empfehlen! Jeder sollte sich bewusst sein, dass er in Thailand ist und ggf mal ein Insekt sich verirrt, der Standard in der Unterkunft ist top und passt wirklich zum Preis. Wir würden wieder buchen.

Grundsätzlich hat dieses Hotel, wenn es fertig ist, sicherlich sehr viel Potential! Schöner Stil, direkt am Meer, kleine nette Bungalows, sehr liebes Personal. Der günstige Preis war dafür, dass es einfach noch nicht fertig ist, in Ordnung. Die Lage ist super!

Leider ist dieses Hotel noch nicht fertig gestellt und außer einer Schlafgelegenheit hatten wir somit als Familie nicht viel mehr in diesem Hotel. Es gibt keinen Pool, noch kein Restaurant, welches geöffnet hat, die Zimmer sind sehr spärlich ausgestattet. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, vor der Buchung zu wissen, dass das Hotel noch nicht fertig gestellt ist.

Bungalow war sauber, der Mitarbeiter vor Ort nett, Anlage hat Potential

Als wir ankamen, waren wir leider total schockiert. Das Resort war definitiv noch nicht für die Saison bereit und glich eher einer Baustelle (zB kaputte Stranddusche, die zerbrochen einfach da lag, große Plastikplanen deckten einen Bereich auf dem Boden ab, Zementsäcke und Eimer zum Anmischen standen im Weg, die Bar war eine Ruine) als einem Resort in dem man seinen Urlaub verbringen möchte. Der Besitzer war nicht anwesend, nur ein einziger Angestellter, der den Check in übernahm. Wir planten auf Koh Lanta ein paar entspannte Tage zu verbringen, was hier nicht möglich war. Leider war das angepriesene Restaurant, die Beach Bar und der Chill out Bereich am Strand zwar physisch vorhanden, aber nicht in Betrieb bzw eine Baustelle. Wäre ehrlich beworben worden, was einen erwartet, hätten wir definitiv nicht gebucht. Deshalb suchten wir uns nach einer Nacht was neues. Der Besitzer hat es nicht mal für nötig empfunden, uns auf unsere Nachricht dazu zu antworten. Wir erwarteten bei einer nicht stornierbaren Buchung nicht unbedingt das Geld zurückzubekommen, obwohl wir natürlich darum baten. Dass er aber nicht mal antwortet und sich ggf. für die Missstände entschuldigt, ist einfach frech. Gastfreundschaft sieht anders aus. Im Übrigen lassen sich am gleichen Strand für einen ähnlichen Preis deutlich besser ausgestattete und auf Gäste vorbereitete Unterkünfte finden.
