Great beachfront stay

Chaba Bungalows is a fantastic place to stay right on the beach, which made the experience extra special. The bungalows are simple, clean and comfortable, and the setting is peaceful and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they can easily organise tours and travel arrangements, including airport pick-up from Krabi, which made everything hassle-free. A great spot to unwind and enjoy Koh Lanta — highly recommended.

Cheap - Beautiful location - Definitely not 4* service or amenities.

The location was fantastic - Right on the beach, easy walking distance to bars and restaurants on the road, and two 7/11 supermarkets are within 10 minutes walk for anything you need. The food in the restaurant was good, and fairly priced. Sunsets on the beach are so beautiful, and you can easily just sit with a drink and enjoy the moments peacefully.

My room was literally opposite a building site. Constantly had workers walking past, and old bits of furniture and white goods littered all over the place. The cleaning staff were not good - one day they took all my towels and didn't leave a single one for me. The next day no cleaning at all. Didn't make the bed - Really not good enough for somewhere advertising itself as 4*. The price was OK, but I still expected much higher levels of service. The shower was awful, no hot water. The man from reception came to 'fix' it, but it lasted a few moments and then no more hot water for the rest of my stay. The bed was so uncomfortable - literally rock hard. Probably one of the worst of my entire 5 week trip around Thailand. The staff just didn't seem remotely interested in making me feel welcome at all. I also arrived after 2PM check in time, and my room was still not ready - so was ordered to sit and wait in the restaurant for an hour.

Cheap, colourful and kinda-cheerful

Xia Xia at the front of house was great and we would go back just for her. Family friendly. Colorful decorations. Restaurant was open all hours. The price was good for low season but i would think twice about high season. WIFI was good throughout. The staff did a great job of cleaning out the front of the resort/restaurant. The toys etc for kids to play in the sand was a nice touch.

We made a mistake with our booking and the management was inflexible in changing it. This was after a day or two once we realized and weeks before our trip. There was about 20% occupancy and we suspect that this was less about policy and more about greed. Communication before our arrival was very unsatisfactory - tried everything but didn't get replies. House keeping was substandard - they visited only briefly every 3 or so days. XiaXia's coffee was good but when made by the others it was horrible.

Perfect family holiday

Perfect place for a family holiday. The lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere made us feel at home. The food and drinks were good so we didn't leave much. The resort is right on the beach and where we saw the most amazing sunsets. The rooms were comfortable, and the whole place is decorated with colourful murals and handcrafted items. The pool in the centre provided a perfect refuge from the heat. We will almost definitely be back.

Manglende rengjøring, måtte be dem om å vaske toalett , vask dusj og gulv , de bare reide opp sengen feide gulvet og sprayet med friskluft , personellet i resturanten var veldig hyggelige, men ikke videre opptatt i å jobbe , satt mest å kikket på mobilen , her burde nok staben byttes ut , mye rot rundt hotellet og i resepsjons delen

Genialna lokalizacja. Bardzo miły, uprzejmy , personel. Bardzo dobre jedzenie. Pomocny właściciel mieliśmy wylot o 21 udostępnił nam pokój bez ponoszenia opłaty. Codziennie uzupełniany papier toaletowy woda butelkowana kawa i herbata.

Pokój przestronny 4 osoby miały luz ale wszystko stare materace twarde spało się jak na płycie nagrobnej dzieciaki łóżka piętrowe przy przekręceniu wszystko trzeszczy. Zamiast sufitu przykręcona i pomalowana płyta z wychodzącą trzciną. Szczur w łazience butelką zastawialiśmy odpływ. Za te pieniądze no niestety Zdjęcia zdecydowanie powinny być zaktualizowane. Booking powinien sprawdzać wystawiane obiekty.

Problème d eau chaude , le toit de notre chambre est tombé , heureusement nous étions pas dedans nous rentrions d’une balade .. on nous a changé de chambre puis pour être sure que cela ne recommence pas on nous a re changer de chambre . On nous a offert notre linge que nous avions mis à laver et une salade de fruits . Mais à 190€ pour 2 nuits ça fait léger quand même .

Das erste Zimmer was wir bekommen haben, wprde ich niemals einem Gast auch privat nicht anbieten. Der Wandbereich der als schrank duenen sollte, waren abgebrochene Bretter und halbe Wand Halterungen,dreckiges Zimmund Bad. Hier leider keine Bilder , da wir uns sofort beschwert haben. Unser neues zimmer etwas sauberer,aber scharfe Bambusecken und hervorstehende Nägel, ein Bettlacken das sehr benutzt aussah. Abdem2 Tag wurde unser zimmer tägl. Gereinigt und auch die bettwäsche wurde tägl gewechselt.

Leider unhygienisch und dreckig

Das Personal war sehr nett

Die Unterkunft ist sehr herunter gekommen, dreckig und schimmelig. Es ist alles voller Schimmel, Insekten und Staub. Vor allem der Schimmel ist ein gesundheitliches Risiko. Zudem gab es kein warmes Wasser und bei stärkerem Regen hat das Dach im Badezimmer nachgegeben. Leider war der Manager auch wenig einsichtig, wenn es um Erstattungen geht.

Hold jer fra dette sted!

Vi havde et familieværelse lige ud til poolen. Værelset med 3 store senge var rummeligt. Stranden ligger meget tæt på hotellet og den virker ret ok. Der er også ok butikker forholdsvist tæt på. Personalet var flinke, det skal de have… Så er der heller ikke mere positivt over stedet.

Vi var der godt nok off-season (juli), men… Først og fremmest var det lidt svært at gennemskue hvor man lige skulle gå ind og tjekke ind. Der var sand i sengene og sengetøjet virkede beskidt, der lå ting og flød alle mulige steder og dem der arbejdede der lavede ikke en skid. Så få da ryddet op i stedet for at sidde og kigge på tlf?! Altså der lå virkeligt meget skrammel - selv midt i “receptionsområdet” og det virkede som om man ville noget med stedet, men havde givet op. Fællesområderne var EKSTREMT slidt og beskidt og på ingen måder indbydende til at sidde og nyde den ellers gode havudsigt. Poolen var lille og beskidt. Og det er ekstremt skummelt at gå til og fra stedet om aftenen og der er bl.a. et næsten livsfarligt hul i vejen. Med noget ekstra belysning på vejen, med vedligehold og oprydning (ikke blot mere - for det var nærmest ikke-eksisterende) så kunne det egentligt blive et rigtigt fint sted. Men det står for forfald… Der var kun én stikkontakt på værelset. Toilettet kunne ikke skylle ordentligt ud. Badet var stort, men ulækkert… Jeg må nok ikke anbefale konkrete andre steder i en anmeldelse, men der er særligt et andet sted som kan det samme, bare langt bedre på alle punkter og til samme pris.

Personnel attentionné, disponible pour rendre service accompagné d’une réelle gentillesse. Merci d’être venu plutôt pour préparer notre Pdj Les pieds dans l’eau pour admirer cette belle et immense plage sur Saladan! Le Maître des lieux, artiste, apporte une touche décalée et sympathique.

Une vraie déception du lieu, L’hôtel semble être à l’abandon….et a grand besoin de rénovation à tous niveaux.(literie très inconfortable, salle de bain vétuste, chambre stricte minimum). Hôtel au même prix que les hôtels Resorts tout proche qui n’a rien à voir au niveau standing!!! Nous sommes à peine sur un hôtel 3 étoiles pour moi!!! Appellation Resort non justifiée ! NB: une tempête tropicale avait eu lieu, 7/8 mois avant….l’ile semblait dévastée et a l’abandon..à prendre en compte

Sehr nettes Personal, gemütliche Atmosphäre aber niedriger Standard

Direkt am Strand, mit Pool. Sehr freundliches Personal, als ich in der Nebensaison dort aufgrund eines Sturms “festsaß” hat der Chef überall herumtelefoniert um mir eine Weiterreise zu ermöglichen und alle waren sehr bemüht! In der Nebensaison (Juli) war das Meer dort leider sehr unruhig, schwimmen war nicht möglich und das Dorf war wie ausgestorben. Nettes Restaurant direkt am Strand, gemütliche Atmosphäre!

Zimmer und Bad sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht mehr wirklich sauber , gewöhnungsbedürftiger bunter Stil und alles ein wenig veraltet und ein bisschen kaputt. Kein Luxus aber ok.

Teleurstellende ervaring – absoluut het geld niet waard!

Ons verblijf bij Chabu viel helaas erg tegen. De kamer was slecht onderhouden: we werden wakker met een bed vol mieren (er zaten scheuren in de muur waar ze doorheen kwamen), de muren in de badkamer waren beschimmeld en de douche was onhygiënisch. Het bed was bovendien erg hard en totaal oncomfortabel. Met rugklachten als gevolg. Hier kun je geen gasten op laten slapen. Het hele verblijf voelde sterk verouderd aan. In alle eerlijkheid: Chabu heeft dringend een volledige renovatie nodig om nog toekomstbestendig te zijn. Ik beveel zelfs sloop-nieuwbouw aan. Gezien de huidige staat is het simpelweg onacceptabel dat er hoge prijzen gevraagd worden. Er zijn een paar positieve punten: het wifi-bereik is goed, er worden dagelijks drie flesjes water en een rol wc-papier geleverd, het personeel is vriendelijk en begroet je en het zwembad oogt schoon. Maar als je kijkt naar het daadwerkelijke comfort en onderhoud van de accommodatie, dan was dit een bijzonder slechte ervaring. Als je dit leest: ik raad het je af!

De hele accommodatie is het NIET meer waard om heen te gaan. Het heeft de goede jaren gehad.

Buena ubicación pero mucha falta de limpieza .

El lugar tiene muchísimo potencial , pero lamentablemente necesita más mantenimiento , la habitación que elegimos era una suite deluxe aunque de delux solo tenía el nombre , el baño estaba realmente sucio como si no se limpiara hace meses , manchas de jabón y mojo por toda la ducha , el agua caliente te la inventas ,el desagüe estaba tapado , te bañabas y el agua se estancaba , el lavamanos tenía restos de pasta dental de dos temporadas atrás , el wc olía a orín. Al ingresar a la habitación se sentía olor a humedad , las puertas correderas de ingreso no cerraban bien por lo que quedaba espacio para que entren los mosquitos , que realmente abundan en la zona , la cortina estaba rota . En las fotos mostraba la habitación con TV pero solo tenía el soporte . Realmente me gustó el estilo del sitio pero les recomiendo poner más cuidado a los detalles ,no se necesita mucho más que predisposición y ganas de mejorar para lograr las mejorías antes mencionadas,Había más de 4 personas en el salón de la recepción que al parecer no hacían nada , nos hospedamos en temporada baja , sería bueno q inviertan su tiempo muerto en mejorar las condiciones de su alojamiento , visualizando reseñas anteriores a la mayoría de los huéspedes le pasa lo mismo , me tomo este tiempo para hacer una crítica constructiva y ayudarlos a expandir su negocio .

住宿风格很好很棒，很有艺术气息，院子里多了很多绿植，每天有人在打扫。门口就是海滩，可以直接走到海滩，在这里订出岛游和租摩托车都很方便，中国人比较少，欧美人居多。但这里确实是个好地方。

因为院子里的绿植比较多，所以会有一些蚊虫。需要准备好驱蚊液或者是电热驱蚊液最好。

Et herlig personale som tok vare på oss og barna våre. Stedet er som et kunst tempel i en jungel med planter dyr og kunstverk. For de som vil ha en litt annerledes overnattingsplass. Ingen nattefyll eller musikk.

Rommet kunne trengt en liten oppussing. Mye sprekker og hull gjorde at mange mygg slapp inn ila natten. Neste gang tar vi med myggnett.

Toller Aufenthalt, super Ausblick vom Zimmer und schöne Umgebung.

Wir hatten das Zimmer mit direktem Meerblick und waren von der Lage begeistert. Auch das Design des Zimmers gefiel sehr gut. Anders als gewohnt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns an zwei Tagen einen Roller gemietet und sind damit um die ganze Insel gefahren. An der Strandpromenade rund um das Hotel herum gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants mit sehr gutem Angebot. Auch die morgendliche Laufrunde am Strand entlang war super möglich. Die Sonnenuntergänge dort sind malerisch. Wir kommen nochmal dorthin.

Die Sauberkeit im Sanitärbereich könnte besser sein, sind es aus Europa wahrscheinlich einfach etwas anders gewohnt.

Slecht!

Personeel was vriendelijk

Ontbijt was slecht en erg beperkt (je kon 1 gerecht kiezen van een kaartje). Het bed voelde als een houte plank. Er was bij ons geen tv in de kamer(wel een beugel en aansluiting). Er waren bijna tot geen stopcontacten in de kamer. Verder was alles verouderd. Booking geeft 4 sterren aan maar persoonlijk vind ik 2 al te veel. Veel geld betaald voor de kamer (+/- 150 euro voor 2 nachten). Al met al erg teleurstellend..

Sehr zu empfehlen

Super Zimmer direkt am Strand mit Blick auf das Meer. Nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Haben uns alles was wir benötigten organisiert. Von Wäsche über Transfers bis hin zu Ausflügen. Der Pool war auch super gelegen und sehr sauber mit Blick auf das Meer.
