expensive cottage not well maintained

Cottage near the pool were acceptable but they gave me a cottage pretty far from the pool and near the entrance. Door was not closing well, air conditioning was blocked a couple of times and in general it was a room not well maintained. It was high season, but for sure what I paid was not aligned with what I've got

Dated, sure, but amazing location, great staff, nice relaxing environment. Great stay.

The staff are friendly and attentive. The location is perfect, a small stroll to the beach and loads and places to eat and shop nearby. Saladin walking street market is a short tuk tuk ride away. The site is quiet and relaxing. Good size rooms. Nice pool. Nice little seating area attached to the bungalow, perfect for a relaxing beer and reading. My wife and I stayed whilst backpacking in 2018. Brought our daughter for a couple of night for memories sake this year and loved it still. Really relaxing. The hotel is dated but we think that adds to its charm and it had everything we needed.

The shower was pretty cold, the heater system didnt appear to work. There’s a few sun beds by the pool but only two had padding to lie on. They were slatted wooden beds so the padding was essential to be comfortable. Other than that we loved our stay and would stay again.

Nice poop.

The whole resort is In quite an unloved state of disrepair. Needs upgrading and the price reduced. Rooms weren’t cleaned every day and parts of the bathroom were not clean when I arrived. It’s a place to stay rather than a beautiful resort.

The perfect place to stay in Koh Lanta.

I loved it that the stuff was very helpful, kind, and responsive to our requests. The rooms were exceptional clean. Each day we got water and got asked if we want the room to be cleaned. The area is very quiet and just lovely to sit in the evening.

Only good thing was the bed

Very comfortable bed Close to beach .

The pool is unusable as taken over by a diving club every day . No cushions on the sunbeds . The “gym” is also not a great place as it’s in the laundry room so it’s boiling hot with washing machines and tumble dryers . We moved rooms as had water leaking through the bathroom . Also very unhygienic . The staff are trying their best but the whole place needs renovating. We had two of our expensive towels from home go missing . Lesson learned there. We left and moved to a hotel further along the beach for four nights as couldn’t stay any longer . Also be warned it’s so close to the mosque you will be woken up at 5am every day. It’s cheap but I wouldn’t recommend sorry .

Friendly staff but that’s the Thai way. Location is 3 minutes walk to the beach and 3 to the main street with mini markets, places fit breakfast etc The room itself was ok

The wifi wasn’t working and the place overall is in need of some renovation. I was only there 3 nights but there was no cleaning and just 2 bottles of water outside the door each morning.

Great value for money!

Great location, nice and quiet and enough privacy from other visitors. The guy at reception was so lovely and helpful throughout our whole trip- helped us with our bags to check in as well as helping us hire a scooter with him for only 250 baht. Air con takes a while to kick in but we also had a fan in our room as well which was definitely needed! Free bottles of water was also a plus and the pool was well kept and clean. Great value for money!

The drain in the bathroom had quite a strong smell towards the end of the trip. The wifi was off for a couple of hours due to maintenance work taking place however the guy came to our room to let us know when it was back on😊

Beware dive centre use pool

Location

That the pool is not private and is subject to daily commercial use by a dive centre. Their regular presence often results in significant noise and activity around the pool area, which may detract from the otherwise tranquil setting. Additionally, their use of the surrounding space can obstruct access and limit the ability of other guests to fully enjoy the pool facilities.

Best value for money. Room was spacious and clean and the staff are amazing people always helpful and friendly. Super close to the beach less than 60 seconds walk. Nice pool very long and price point was superb

Its location to the beach and distance to the scuba diving centres near to the bridge. It’s safe and comfortable. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked adequate.

Pleasant stay

Nice large pool, comfy beds, and good room size. Easy access to the beach. The staff were super friendly and it was easy to rent a bike and sort out boat transfers at reception despite a bit of a language barrier.

It said online we would be upgraded to a premium room however this did not happen when we arrived. We did ask however we were told no. Ants nest in bathroom but we understood things like that can't always be helped.

Bad

I’ve reserved Lanta Cottage, pool view cabin via booking.com. Upon our arrival to Lanta Cottage, we’ve found that the place was significantly misrepresented on the listings, and services that were advertised were lacking or not provided at all. As per listing and follow up emails from Lanta Cottage, we were supposed to be picked up from the pier. No one picked us up and we had to find our own ride, which cost us $20 extra. Upon checking in, the cabin that we got did not have a pool view. Wifi was barely working. We had to have a long discussion back and forth with the owner and his assistant to receive pool towels, which they kept saying they do not provide, however is listed on the listing. Then we were notified that we have to pay for the pool use after 7pm, it does not say so on the listing. The SPA and the GYM was a rather run down little shed/small run down structure. The GYM doubled as a laundry room. The photos on the listing are completely misrepresenting the place, all photos taken at an angle that does not actually show how run down, unpaved (dirty, dusty road, paths to get to cabins), and not much taken care of place is. The luscious greenery, garden like looking little cottages on the pictures is not what you see in person. I paid upon checking in. The owner refused to give money back, when we had to leave 20 minutes after checking in due to complete mis advertisement and misrepresenting of the property and their services, advising us that it has to be done through booking.com. Booking.com refused me the refund stating the property didn't approve it. The property never replied to my inquiries about the promised refund.

location is great and I got a pool side room which was nice to use in the morning and after a long day on the island

pool was used daily for scuba class... i had room to go in but kind of annoying especially the day they used the end of the pool that was by my room

loved staying here, The owner was a lovely woman, so kind, helpful and attentive! she did our laundry for us there and left our clean clothes outside our room that day, and hired us a motorbike and taxis every day, so ideal. we arrived very late, after 11pm the check in time and she was really nice about it. room was clean and Spacious and just perfect for our few days stay. really loved staying there!
