Delighted, relaxed Hotel in good location offering an authentic experience

Convenient location with helpful and welcoming staff to this authentic hotel. Nothing was too much trouble with advice on activities and obtaining passes. Although there was no kettle or mini fridge , it would be possible to take a cup of tea upstairs. Comfortable rooms with spacious bathrooms - mine had a bath) and the bed very comfortable.Breakfast is good with healthy options. Dinner offers a good variety of Austrian ‘home’ cooking. I travelled alone and I will definitely return to The Alpina soon.

Hotel Alpina Hofgastein

The stay is in a nice surrounding environment. The staff is very respectful.

Inability to put suitcases in the closet - lack of storage space. Dinner, a choice of three menus - already in the morning I have to choose what I want in the evening! Portions very small, even if three courses are small. We are used to buffet dinners. In the description of the hotel it is written that if the hotel is occupied, buffet dinner. The hotel was almost full, so dinner was a choice of three menus. I am not satisfied with this. Sauna - did not work. Around 2 p.m. we went from the pool to the wellness area and nothing was working. Sad.

Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms very clean. Location is very good with an amazing view of the mountains.

Got so hot during the day it was almost unbearable to stay in the room. A four star hotel should offer fans or aircon. All the lamps had no lamp shade, so not very nice atmosphere at night when the lights were turned on.

The hotel was The most outdsted hotel i have ever visited in my life. The rooms were so Old School and The bathroom so ugly that it was so inacceptable! Furthermore the pictures do not match the real thing!!!! Menu boring Breakfast booring - they couldn’t even make boiled eggs:((((

Very happy to recommend

Everything at this hotel is done with a bit of class. The four-course meal in the evening is superb. The pool is heated, with a robe and sliders for the Spa area provided on arrival. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The maid service is excellent. The mattress is very comfortable, not excessively firm (like those provided in many hotels). The hotel is located a short walk from the town centre, and with the Gastein Card (provided on arrival) using the local buses is convenient and inexpensive. We had a spacious room with a large balcony, looking towards the mountains, with plenty of cupboard space.

This hotel has the unpleasant shelf toilets we’ve only encountered in Austria, but otherwise I have nothing negative to say.

Was made to sit in the back of the restaurant at breakfast for reasons unknown, despite there being a lot of free tables in the front area of the restaurant which was lighter and nicer. Would have been nice to have had some more options like smoked salmon at breakfast.

Old utilities in the bathroom, difficult to fix the water temperature at a pleasent level (or too hot, or too cold), no mini bar in the room which should be in a 4 star hotel, and not even a fridge. Not soundprooved at all, in the morning already before 8.00 the maids very speaking loud with eachother both cleaning different rooms, so they woke us up. Pillow (only 1 pillow per person) was unconfortable, In our opinion very expensive for the value we got compaired what we usually are getting in other 4* hotels :( :( :(

In the afternoon there was "Cake and coffee" on the schedule. Took the cake and was offered coffee. But it turns out the cake was free and the coffee was not. This was never mentioned and I only found out about it next morning when a bill was left on my breakfast table.

In spite of lengthy check-in chek-out process, the receptionist lady was super professional, friendly and patient. The rooms in these old type Alpen hotel buildings are so perfectly soundproof.

The hotel is a bit dated. Check in and check-out was slow, reception capacity and consequent lobby seems small for the size of hotel.

I came here with my son for few days skiing. The hotel is in a perfect location for the ski bus, about 5 mins walk. Very comfortable rooms, super friendly and helpful staff and so much delicious food. A really charming Austrian village. We will certainly return.

Pohodlný kvalitní hotel s výbornými službami a rodinnou atmosférou

V Bad Hofgastein v minulosti bydleli v jiném hotelu. První zkušenost s hotelem Alpina je nad očekávání. Hotel je v dobře přístupném místě a parkování je bezpečné a blízko. Zastávka skibusu vedle hotelu, autobusový terminál 8 min od hotelu, centrum taktéž. Atmosféra hotelu je rodinná a mezinárodní, měli jsme pocit, že jsme přijeli navštívit příbuzné. Pokoje jsou pohodlné, funkční a tiché, tichý je celkově celý hotel, ač blízko hlavní cesty. Ostatní prostory - hotelová restaurace, vestibulová kavárna, místnost s krbem a především 33stupňový bazén (od 7 do 7) spolu s wellness absolutně naplní potřeby těch, kteří mají rádi pohodlí a nemají rádi přehnaný svazující luxus. Polopenze byla velmi kvalitní rozmanitá, gurmetská a přitom příjemně neokázalá a pohodlná. Perlou hotelu je pan Alois, s naprosto výjimečným vztahem k hostům, pro něhož je práce opravdovým posláním a který má zcela neopakovatelný vztah k dětem. V hotelu je velmi vhodně sestavený a ochotný personál vzhledem k mezinárodnímu složení hostů, ale pan Alois je skutečná duše podniku a patří mu náš osobní dík za krásně strávený týden.

Tato otázka je těžká..... Po deseti minutých přemýšlení žádné negativum....

Traumhafter Familienurlaub in gemütlicher Atmosphäre!

Ein schönes uriges Hotel mit liebevollen Details und richtig heimelig. Trotz des Alters sehr gepflegt und alles wirklich sehr sauber. Unser Zimmer hatte schon ein paar Jahre auf dem Buckel, war aber sehr geräumig und komfortabel eingerichtet - mit einem schönen Blick in die Berge von der großzügigen Terasse. Das Personal war durchwegs sehr freundlich und auch geduldig mit unserem kleinen Wirbelwind (Danke nochmal an dieser Stelle!) sehr zuvorkommend und bei allen Problemen sofort hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Auch beim Frühstück hat es uns an nichts gefehlt - genug Auswahl an verschiedenen Broten, Müsli, Eierspeisen und Co. Das Abendessen haben wir nur einmal genutzt, aber auch hier nichts zu meckern.
