A nice friendly hotel in a great location.

Great location, nice size swimming pool and wellness area. Friendly staff.

Was a wonderful getaway in a cute quiet village

The hotel was super cute. The sauna was wonderful. Traditional multiple saunas and steam rooms plus quiet area was amazing. Warm large indoor pool. Breakfast was top notch and much better than most. Great staff and dining room decor.

Typical European split single beds pushed together was a bit too firm. A queen/king mattress topper would be a nice improvement.

A lovely stylish hotel with great facilities and very easy access to the slopes from the bus outside

I lovely smart and stylish Austrian traditional Hotel which exceeded our expectations. We were three families and it suited our needs perfectly. Breakfast was a really excellent spread in the lovely dining room. Tea was very welcome after a hard day skiing and available from early afternoon with delicious soup, meats, cheeses, and bread and some cakes. We had dinner there a few times too and it was a really nice four course set menu at quite a reasonable price, especially for kids up to 17 years. The hotel pool had to spectacular views of the mountains and the spa area had extensive saunas and steam rooms as well as a big solarium. The kids loved it.

The welcome packs in bedrooms lacked information on the hotel layout, so it took us a while to find the spa facilities and games rooms which we didn’t know existed but were a joy when we did. Midway through the week, we finally worked out how to correctly order dinner, it would’ve been handy to know this when we arrived!

Great base for the Gastein ski area.

Great Position for ski resort. Nice pool. Very family friendly. Modernised rooms. Great food. Extra afternoon snacks etc for when skiing finished. Ski bus outside the door.

Pool could be modernised. Coffee or at least a kettle in the room. Expensive compared to some places.

Understaffed and no management visible or overseeing breakfast and dinner.

Room and bathroom was nice.

Dinner and especially Breakfast completely understaffed and no management present. Milk, coffee, glasses, plates constantly running out and two staff members on duty not able to keep up with refilling. Catering was always for about 20 people instead of 100. Vegetarian option on the menu was always poor - like from the 70s - baked cauliflower or stuffed zuccini. No imagination. Pool was small and not sufficiently heated.

Very low-level service. Constant problems in the restaurant. The staff doesn't know what to do. The hotel director sits in the office and does not organize the staff at all. Obviously, the hotel has financial problems. Because of this, there is a very poor assortment of food that ends in the middle of dinner. We will never go to this hotel again

Exceptional hotel with stunning views

The location is amazing. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities at the hotel were excellent. The room was spacious and clean. We had a nice balcony with a fantastic view. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect.

At the breakfast I had the feeling of not enough staff, it was a delay in refueling with food, juice, plates, glasses. Also more variety at breakfast would be needed.

Very friendly staff throughout! Facilities and rooms as well as everything else spotless- as can expected for the -locally absolutely fair - rates. Parking at the front and backyard available but in somewhat short supply. However private street parking at no additional cost available across the street. Hotel fully equipped as described. Very complete and delicious breakfast. Quiet location. Regular beds for the kids would have been nicer that the provided and - in all fairness adequate- pull-out couch. would generally return when in the area!

Comfortable hotel with great food

Everything was absolutely perfect. Warm welcome, nice, clean and comfortable rooms (with comfortable bed and fruit on the table), perfect food (gala dinner was a great surprise), possibility to change the menu for children. I really appreciate the afternoon snack. Staff is very friendly. Swimming pool with whirpool and sauna was also perfect. The bus stop for ski bus to Skicentre Angertal by the hotel.

Familien Skiurlaub

Wir haben als Familie mit zwei Kindern die Semesterferien in diesem Hotel verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden. Schon vor der Anreise war die Kommunikation sehr freundlich und unkompliziert, und auch beim Check‑in wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Das gesamte Personal war jederzeit aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Der Pool ist angenehm groß und warm und zudem bis 21:30 Uhr geöffnet – ideal für Familien. Für Kinder gibt es zusätzlich einen eigenen Spieleraum mit Brett‑ und Kartenspielen sowie einer Nintendo Switch und einer PlayStation. Besonders positiv fanden wir, dass die Kinder den Billardtisch in der Lobby jederzeit benutzen durften, was nicht in jedem Hotel selbstverständlich ist. Insgesamt ist das Hotel ausgesprochen kinderfreundlich. Der Wellnessbereich bietet alles, was man sich wünscht: Bio‑Sauna, Finnische Sauna, Infrarotkabine, Dampfbad und einen schönen Ruhebereich. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und sehr vielfältig. Das Abendessen wurde aufgrund der hohen Gästezahl in Buffetform angeboten. Dabei ist uns gelegentlich aufgefallen, dass einzelne Speisen nicht bis ganz zum Schluss verfügbar waren. Das ist zwar im Moment etwas schade, gleichzeitig hatten wir aber den Eindruck, dass hier bewusst und verantwortungsvoll mit Ressourcen umgegangen wird – und das fanden wir sehr positiv. Ich bin überzeugt, dass dies in Zeiten geringerer Auslastung anders aussieht. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums, was uns jedoch nicht gestört hat. Direkt vor dem Haus hält ein Bus, der bequem ins Zentrum oder zur Seilbahn fährt. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt für Familien – wir kommen nächstes Jahr (mit Verstärkung) wieder

Im Badezimmer wären zusätzliche Ablageflächen wünschenswert. In unserem Zimmer handelte es sich um ein innenliegendes Bad ohne Fenster. Eine Möglichkeit zur Entlüftung nach außen – sofern baulich umsetzbar – wäre hilfreich, um die Feuchtigkeit schneller abzuführen.
