Interesting place to stay

Very particular, bohemian style place to stay at in Veliko Turnovo. The restaurant downstairs is good!

The blinds dont obscure the room so there is light pretty early and I was waking up very early.

The hotel is good enough the price.

The room was comfortable, and I like that there are nice drawings and paintings of the walls. The hotel had a antique touch and is very cozy.

I have to wait for 15 minutes in the adjacent restaurant to do the check-in, they have to call somebody to check my reservation. It seems that the main business is the restaurant. If you need something, you need to ask the waiters. This hotel is self-checkout as many others, so when I left there was nobody to deliver the keys, that have to be left inside and lock the room. It seems that I was the only guest that night, I did not see anybody else around. Not many bus lines cover a route near the hotel, I have to walk from about 40 minutes from and to the train station.

Very central to tourist attractions

Doors of toilet/shower were hard to slide open/cose. The mattress had a sheet with a hole and there was no mattress cover. Was standing at the entrance figuring out how to get someone to open the door, went to the restaurant around the building and realised they were managing this accomodation. Very confusing.

Nice interior worth the price

The staff was friendly and welcoming. I liked the interior of the room and all the paintings inside. The room had a decent size. I think it was worth it for its price. The bathroom and toilet were shared.

Good

For the price I wasn't expecting much and did the job, wouldn't mind staying again. Feels like going back to the 50s, but I guess it's part of the charm. Right in the city centre, all the main attractions are easily reachable by a little walk, which was perfect for a first time visitor like me.

I assume there was Wi-Fi but the password wasn't available in the room. Would prefer curtains that block the light in the morning, but I know that's a thing in Eastern Europe, so it is what it is.

Superb

The location is fabulous - right in the center of the city, with all sightseeing spots on 3-5 min walk. I really loved the design in the rooms - many paintings and furniture elements gets you back in time. And the restaurant downstairs offers some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten.

The beds could be a bit more comfortable and the cleanliness in the rooms could be better.

We had 4 rooms for 3 family and there was only one fridge. The fridge was very dirty 😞 The bathrooms were very dirty too.

Exceptional

As usual my overall experience was perfect, i always stay here when in VT. There is free parking close by, an excellent restaurant below and small shops nearby if needed. My room was nicely decorated with "collectables" to make it feel homely and the bed was very comfortable, everything i needed. i'm completely satisfied thanks.

Unique stay in Veliko Tarnovo - the property has a lot of personality

The whole building has a lot of history to it, both the rooms and the restaurant downstairs. Staff were friendly, airconditioner was strong and much needed for those hot days we had, beds were comfy enough, shared toilets had all the needed stuff, and it was at a very convenient location in Veliko Tarnovo. The room, halls, and restaurant were filled with really cool paintings and antiques!

No lockers, but I suppose you don't really need it when you can lock the room. Finding nearby parking is a bit tricky, but that's more of an issue for Veliko Tarnovo itself.

Very pleasant rooms with good ratio value: money.

I like the ambience - quite quirky bar downstairs, the rooms have character - lots of vintage items. The staff is very helpful and approachable. :)

If you are a light sleeper, you might find the traffic noise disturbing.

Honestly, if I knew all this, I would pay extra 10EUR and would choose another place to stay.

It is a good location to watch Sound and Lightening over the Tsarevets

Sheets were clean, but unpleasantly synthetics, pillows were giant size (really - never seen in Europe such a big pillows), we had to wait for a towels more than 30min and then... seems they were brand new and it was not possible to use them. Beautiful antique bed, but mattress... seems antique too... Shared bathroom - you can imagine...

Not what you expect.

The location was good. The atmosphere brings you decades back in time with all the paintings, narrow corridors and staircases.

Don't dare to think it's actually soundproof. Nothing like that. You can hear what's happening in the next room. The door has openings and everything that happens in the corridor can be clearly heard in your room. The bedsheets had stitches and some stains. Dust around the TV and the rest of the furniture. The bathroom had mold stains. During the day the whole floor is vibrating because of the kitchen elevator used for bringing the food down to the restaurant. The staff just said its an old building and you can hear this small elevator going up and down through all rooms. I had such big expectations and everything went down in the first 10 minutes.

Although the furniture was basic it was comfortable and I slept well, the decor though is very ornate, quirky even. The restaurant below has be tried, it's a very good menu and the food well prepared and presented, served by very professional, friendly happy staff.

If you're going to explore the Old Town of Veliko Tarnovo, it's a perfect place to stay. The restaurant downstairs also serves nice food and has a traditional Bulgarian feel to it. The pillows were very comfortable.

If you want to explore some other parts of the city, it could be quite far to walk. Also, if you sleep with a night light, there is no lamp provided in the room.

Bus 20(1.5BGN) stops direct here and it goes to Kaufland. Clean wc, rooms, bed. Polite people for check in.

For every item(water, snacks, fruits) you have go to centre. WiFi is only good at pub under the rooms.
