Amazing stay in the heart of Veliko Turnovo

The flat is small but very well thought, with a separate kitchen corner and an absolutely stunning view. The bed is comfortable and the host is fantastic, very responsive and very kind. We found the heating on upon arrival, which was great and they provide enough coffee pods to enjoy during the stay. She also offered a mid stay clean, as we were there for 6 days, and that was really nice too. The location is great as well, quiet but just a few mins walk from the historical centre.

The only negative thing (as others have said) is the road to get there, nothing to do with the property itself, but you'd need to be a skilled driver or get a taxi!

Good choice for a short stay

The apartment is beautifully furnished and the window view is very nice, perfect to admire when you wake up in the morning. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and above all, the host was amazing. Traveling with 2 kids, we had a lot of requests and Martina handled all of them quickly, which was truly appreciated. We really recommend this place!

Amazing Fortress View

The view is amazing. I was able to see the fortress light show twice. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. There was plenty of shampoo and shower gel provided. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

The property is absolutely beautiful. Modern and very well maintained. The view is spectacular. We had a perfect view of the light show from Tsaravets Fortress and the surrounding mountains and countryside. The linens are crisp and snow white and the towels white and soft. Toiletries and slippers were also provided. Excellent!

Nothing major… but we would have appreciated a microwave and a washing machine. It’s a personal preference but when we travel we usually do a hotel stay and then an apartment stay so that we can do a load of laundry before moving on to another hotel stay. This allows us to travel with less baggage which is what we like. Now, this is not a “dislike” but simply a heads up for other travellers, the drive to the property is not for the faint hearted. The roads are cobbled and very steep. They confused the heck out of Google maps and turning around on them is not an option. I’m eternally grateful to some locals who were immensely helpful when we got stuck on a few occasions. 🙏🏻

The access road is a fairly steep, narrow and cobbled. It was alright to walk but brutal on the wheels of the luggage. We could not get a cab and solved it by splitting up our baggage to carry it down and repacked at the main street.

Great flat in the heart of city

Great apartment, everything you need is there. Amazing view from the balcony to the castle. We had a very nice stay! Silent, on the hill, quite steep though :)

Not what was exactly described by booking.com

Lots of coffee pods. That was great. Thankyou. Lovely view but the apartment next to ours (no.2) had the better view of the sound and light show, plus they had an open balcony. We didn't have a microwave which would have made life easier. The apartment was very clean. Apartment no. 1 (ours) shared an inner door with apartment no. 2 which was capable of 4 people staying there and this happened on the second night of our stay. You inevitably had the other people knocking to be let in on occasions and we could hear all their comings and goings.

The road up to the accommodation. It was very narrow, stony and full of potholes up the hill. There was a likely chance that during the day you would meet someone coming in the opposite direction and someone would have to reverse. I'm really sorry but this physical situation clouded our judgement. The car we hired wasn't particularly adept. We were staying 2 nights and changed our plans because of the road situation. We didn't move the car until the morning of check out at a very early time so as not to encounter a problem. The description of the property said 'private entrance' but according to my definition and AI's definition, only 1 property is considered private. This original house has actually been subdivided into 3 properties on 1 level (the level we were staying on) and an unknown situation in the level below us. One of the other occupants chose to get a delivery order at 10 pm with the pizza delivery guy honking his horn. A child in another apartment was talking quite loudly until gone 11 pm. You can get this view by walking up the hill. There are no curtains in the kitchen and one of the plug points didn't work in there which we had tried to use for the kettle. We did notify the owner. .

Exceptional

We stayed in the 3rd aparment which has side windows towards the fortress however the view is still awesome. Still if you want the full view during the lights show, just go in front of the building. The apartment was very clean, cozy, with new and nice looking furneture with all faculities (including iron and hair dryer). We had late self checkin with clear instructions. The host also provided parking. It's very close to the old market and walkable distance to the main atractions. I definetely recommend to stay at least 2 days to fully enjoy the city and surroundings.

Nothing to complain. All was great. Btw for the shower hot water you need to start the boiler( there is a separated red switch near the light switch) with some time before. Maybe this is good to be included in the instructions.

Bright and modern with great views

Bright modern and clean apartment with an amazing view of the Fortress. It was nice to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view the location great although you do have to walk up some uneven paths. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchenette was well equipped and included a coffee machine. The apartments host was contactable if needed and gave us clear instructions on how to get to the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay at Adel apartments thankyou!

Clean, new furniture, very well equipped kitchen, cosy and comfortable beds. We had everything we needed for a nice weekend

Not smth related to the accommodation, but the road to the location was a bit challenging, we had a stroller for the baby and we had to climb up to the appartement on a medieval alley. Keep that in mind when you travel with a baby

Design of the apartment, the mattress, the view, the cleaness and the courtesy of the owner.

The apartment don't have radiators and it's pretty cold inside. The heating is made with AC in the living and with an electric radiator in the bedroom. In the bathroom was 2 problems: smells extremely bad from the sewerage system and when you shower, the water is going in ALL the bathroom because the glass is not enough long. The access to the apartment is not the easy one :)... Actually is very difficult because of the already parked vehicles. Very slim streets with a lot of parked vehicles.

Hotel is on the hill and great view. So taxi cannot go up till hotel it stops before 200M from hotel. I recommend without large suitcase because also the road to the hotel is unstable on old stone pavements. Backpack is better.

Near the city center, the apartment has a nice overview of the city. The apartment is clean and spacious and the host very responsive. And you have also a parking lot which is very useful in this city.

Is not a dislike, because has nothing to do with the apartment itself but keep in mind that the road up to the parking lot is quite narrow.

It was ok for 2 nights but it definitely need a better cleaning service!

The apartment it is near to old town, shops and restaurants. Good design and good furniture. Kitchen had everything we needed. We also fund coffee and water. Hot water and Wi-Fi was great.

First of all the apartment didn’t look like in the picture. The host have 3 apartments in the same building and ours was different from the pictures. We didn’t have the terrace or that great window spot. The bedroom was quite small. The mattress hardness was not equal on both sides. The pillows are not comfortable. The floors were dirty. We did find spiders on windows and inside. One of them I find it on my baby’s toy. The entrance stairs to the apartment was dirty and full of cleaning products. in the hall of the apartment there is a light that comes on when you move and can be annoying sone times. The road till the apartment is very hard to drive.

Beautiful views

- The beautiful views. - The room was spacious and very nicely decorated.

- It was terrible to get there by car. You really need to be an experienced driver and have a SUV to be able to go up those super narrow streets. Google showed 2 ways to get to the apartment and we would have appreciated it if the owner had advised us before hand the “less complicated” way to go up. Other than that all perfect. Once you get to the apartment you forget how much you’ve sweat getting there.
