Lovely comfy and cozy flat in the middle of the city vibes.

The flat was amazing and very comfortable. There was everything you might need. The location was the best now knowing the city. The host Lora was very lovely and gave us some great suggestions for our stay.

The shower head was broken on arrival but compared to all, it was a very minor inconvenience.

An exceptional place to visit!

The place was very clean, we had everything we needed and the view from the balcony was marvelous and the location was close to everything you might wish to visit! Old town, city center, Tsarevets and etc. Everything was 20 minutes away on foot at most. The owner was quite helpful and shared some really helpful information regarding the town and what we might need. Overall, we were very satisfied and would come here again!

Great location, highly recommended

The room had a nice view towards the Art gallery across the river and the location was perfect on the historical street, very close to all the restaurants. The staff was very nice and accommodating, even though we arrived a bit earlier than the check-in time indicated. The big balcony was a plus, we enjoyed evenings there a lot. Also, our room had a cute little wooden arch that made the passing from the entry area to the bedroom itself, which was nice.

The room was not that well sound proofed. We could hear the other guests move around the house, but that was to be expected with the house being old. We didn't really mind it, the neighbours were fairly quiet, so for us it wasn't a problem.

Nice stay despite some hickups

Nora was a wonderful host and even advised of a car repair shop nearby when we got into car trouble. She was helpful in every way possible.

Unfortunately the apartment was not up to our standards due to various reasons (bad smell in the bathroom, sticky table, ants etc.)

Surprising Veliko

The Lion's Residence was a great choice for visiting Veliko. The apartament is on Gurko's street ,very close to the main things to see. It's a clean, cozy and nice place with a great view. We had also a very good communication with the owner/staff .

I liked everything about this place. The host, the view, the room, the amenities, everything worked perfectly. I haven't expected having a little common kitchen and a fridge in the room. I got a complimentary ride to the station which was really nice of the owner. I would recommend it to anyone.

Bathroom even if not big, might still be improved by separating the shower area. Currently, the water stays on whole floor until completely drainig, making somewow a discomfort is using the sink.

We really enjoyed our stay in Veliko Tarnovo. The location of Lions Residence is optimal, the views from the terrace are great and the apartment is clean and functional. Also I can't praise enough the young lady who looked after us during our stay helping us with transportation and giving tips about restaurants and places to visit.

Passable

I really liked the room and the balcony and the town is very beautiful but I recommend to go in the Spring or summer.

what I didn’t like was that it wasn’t cleaned how it is supposed to be in the toilet were spots from someone before us..and I think actually no one had cleaned the bathroom..also there is not enough hot water for everyone because there were also people in the other apartment and at 12-1am we were supposed to bath us with completely cold water thats not normal.

Best place with a view and parking

Great view from bedroom and dining area, comfortable beds, free parking in front of the apartment. The hosts were very nice and approachable. The apartment is on the 1st floor inside the house. Kitchen is on the ground floor. The steps are steep. Best thing one can do is make a small day bag and take that up and keep the bags down in the luggage room. Hosts helped us put the bags in there. Home slippers for all was a nice good thing. Location is great, walking distance to all the attractions., if one is coming by car. I don't know how accessible it is by public transport.

Toilet is very tiny with no wet area, no locking system. No kitchenette upstairs. It would help if there are some basic things and crockery up, so that one doesn't have to go down the steep stairs. Streets to come in are extremely narrow. Google map is a bit confusing. Please study it closely before you entre the city. There is one very small bylane off the main road which goes down. If you miss it, you will have to go ahead and come back. Overall a very nice experience. No complaints

Perfect

Everything is perfect. The apartment was very clean, had a great balcony (we ate out breakfast there every morning and so we could enjoy the view of the city), you have a kitchen with everything you need if you want to eat inside. The quality-price ratio is exceptional. It’s the perfect place to stay if you come to Veliko, I guarantee!

It’s not necessary a thing that we didn’t like, but it would be nice to have a TV on which you could stream films or YouTube on.

Superb

Very old apartment in a good way in the center of old city. The sunset and sunrise are magnificent. The breakfast on the balcony with a view on park and river/lake are unforgettable. Be aware - the hot water is sharp HOT, but it is due to the boiler. The only thing that troubled but it is beyond the apartment or the owner - the streets are very narrow. I recommend national restaurant nearby - very delicious meals.

It was a very good stay. A great view, the rooms were very clean and rustic beautifully, really matching the town! The aer condition was well working! The staff was very helpful!

The smell from the bathroom was bad, most likely from the drain pipes! That could be fixed, if it's possible! The table from the sitting day room could be better cleaned! It was covered with a sticky dust layer! 😁

The location in the city. Clean rooms and bathroom, same. We were accommodated in the apartment on the ground floor, the one with the terrace. Amicable host. We liked it at The Lion's Residence and we'll definitely be back.

We were accommodated on the upper floor (the two-room apartment), our friends at the apartment on the ground floor (the one with a room and terrace, which benefited us by being smokers and we could stay in the evening with friends there). Each apartment has own bathroom, kitchen situation on the ground floor, is common to the two apartments. The host, an amicable lady who provided us with the parking place and went out on our way to guide us, the streets being quite narrow. We will definitely stay at The Lion's Residence

The water from the bathroom was not collected by the drain and gathers throughout the bathroom, the same problem to the both apartments, but this isn't an incovenient that does not make us feel good.

Above my expectations

Very nice location. The house is on a very beautiful street and with a very beautiful view from balcony. Very clean and beautiful inside the house. The host let us stay more than the check-out hour because no one rented a room the night after us.
