Unexpectedly good

Position, condition of rooms and included services, pool, food, terrace, positioning at walking distance from everything

The fact that the beds were two and not a single big one, and we had to get them together and the fact that we did not have enough days to enjoy the time on the location :)

Could be much better

The location of the hotel is nice, in the city centre. The hotel has a great view towards Tsarevets fortress. Spacious rooms, new renovated bathrooms.

The breakfast was not good for a 4-star hotel. The whole hotel is not 4 o in our opinion, it's the level of a teenager trying to become an adult. Very strange is that guests are allowed to smoke electric cigarettes in the wellness area and in the sauna. When we said something about ut at the reception from the wellness centre, they said it's normal. Also, the dirty old carpets on the rooms should not be there....

A city with an interesting history, nice and pleasant

The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the city center. The room had a beautiful view to the fortress and an spectacular light show in the night could be seen. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. They serve a delicious breakfast and a very good cofee

An obsolete hotel which should have some proper renovation in the rooms. The sheets were quite overused

The smell in the room, the noise from the street, the strong perfume in the shower gel, rather poor and not so tasty breakfast, overpriced for what it offers

A Great Family Experience

Great Location, in the heart of the old town. On a busy square, not far away from the Fortress. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Although the hotel is one of the oldest, the rooms were renovated with a touch of modern desing and very clean. We also enjoyed a dinner at the restaurant, which offered a great view of the Fortress light show, accompanied with sound, which make it a great experience. The food at the restautant also was very delicious with quality service. I deffinetly recommed it.

A minor disadvantage was that, due to the location it was quite noisy during the night. However you experienve Veliko Turnovo once and this could not destroy our stay.

Recently renovated. Big room. Fantastic view from restaurant. Close to attractions. Good food.Small indoor pool very wellcome at the end of day.

No parking spot as promises had to park 500m away. Small windows in the room. Very old and slow elevator.

Yantra hotel in beautiful VELIKO TARNOVO is in a perfect site....great surroundings and views.

Flat screen TV too small and being a big long room not ideal if you are short sighted. Also re TV, foreign TV stations can be a positive update

Great hotel & views, awful staff

The hotel was clean, rooms were spacious and some views were amazing. There’s a panoramic elevator to see the surrounding landscape, too. Location is central and within walking distance to all attractions, and there’s roughly 15 parking spots right beside it. Breakfast was good quality although variety did lack (considering its 4 star rating) - but can’t complain.

The staff were absolutely abysmal. They barely speak any ounce of English - which wouldn’t be a problem except they cuss at you in Bulgarian if they don’t get you. The cleaning staff were rude and entered the room well before checkout (despite the DND sign being hung still while we were at breakfast). We left this feedback with front desk only to be met with “but they noticed no one was in the room so we checked you out”. Again, nice hotel, but staff hospitality and manners are a disaster.
