Tsarevets Boutique Hotel & SPA

Lovely staff, good amenities, great location, clean beds and bathroom. The hotel comes with many perks. Good breakfast. Great shower water. The hair conditioner was absolutely amazing, after days the lovely smell remained in my hair, i actually want that thing :)) not to mention the super comfy pillows!

The breakfast patisserie was dry, the rug was dirty around the edges. The coffee was.. interesting to say the least, maybe bulgarian style was the reason? The tub was weird, felt as if i only have to step on the edges of it or i might break it through the middle (im a tiny person).

The receptionists were outstanding. Definitely went the extra mile.

Would have been helpful to have USB plug in chargers available for guests.

The hotel had a great central location, making it easy to reach everything we wanted to see. The staff were the real highlight — extremely polite, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. They clearly did their best despite the circumstances.

Unfortunately the hotel felt understaffed, and there was a persistent strange smell in both our room and the common areas — the heavy use of air freshener made us suspect an underlying mold issue. The breakfast was very sparse and looked nothing like the photos, and the coffee machine wasn't working, so staff handed out a single cup of vending-machine coffee per person. The AC was also a real problem: even set to 16°C and running non-stop, the room never dropped below 25°C.
