Good value for money and amazing view from room!

The view from the rooms and the restaurants is absolutely amazing. Only because of that, the price per night was worth it. It is in a good location on the main street and you can get to it easily. Because I stayed during colder times, the room was holding a constant good temperature - not too warm and not too cold.

Room with a view.

The hotel position is perfect for visiting Veliko tarnovo. Excellent breakfast choice and staff who couldn’t have been more helpful…..reception, restaurant and cleaning. Our room at the rear had a wonderful view over the Yantra.

There was a leak from underneath the bath which can’t be fixed.

pleasant stay

The lady at reception when we checked in was very friendly and helpful. She was a great first impression of the hotel! The waitress in the restaurant on floor -1 was very sweet too. The room was clean, big and with a lovely view from the terrace. The location of the hotel was superb and right in the middle of everything!

Apart from the two staff mentioned, everyone else we came across seemed to hate their jobs and were passive aggressive. Upstairs in the BBQ restaurant, the waitress spent most of the time on her phone and the food was bland, I wouldn't eat there again unless something changes. Also, at breakfast there was a woman who was collecting plates and basically throwing the plates on the tray, making a very loud noise each time. Not what you want to hear when you are trying to have a peaceful breakfast! The decor in the whole hotel is also a little dated and renovations are needed in areas, but it was still comfortable.

Ok for the location.

Location

Breakfast not great, no natural juice for example and you can only choose from predefined breakfast menus. Parking is not for free and reception staff make you pay the minute you enter the lobby, not waiting for check out. When you arrive after a long trip, this is unpleasant.

Worst experience

One of my worst experiences. I booked this hotel for the gym and piscine, both were closed on Sunday and Monday, without indication on their website. My room was very depressed, poor light. The shower is from an another age... The staff was doing the bare minimum. There was a very famous festival in the city center. They did not even tell me about this, a basic tourist information you give to everyone during a checkin all around the world, making me missing an important part. The value for money was very poor.

The view is everything. Having a balcony is a bonus. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and couldn't ask for for anything more.

Not a fan of shower wetting the whole bathroom floor. This town has very high electricity charges, so the room temperature was limited to 20.5 C.

Tragic experience

The location is good and the facilities are clean, warm and cosy.Pets are welcome.

The worst part was that you pay 100 BGN per night and SPA is supposedly included. If you visit though on Sunday and Saturday there is NO spa. No one mentions it of course. The breakfast was terrible- the cheapest sausage and rude personal, quote : "Come on, brekfast closes in 30 mins what do you want " Reception is also unprofessional and does not even greet.
