An incredibly nice weekend at Veliko

Me and my partner went to Veliko for the weekend and wanted to book a hotel with spa. We chose this one because it explicitly mentioned that access to their facilities was included in the initial price, unlike other places where we previously stayed during our time in Bulgaria. That being said, we did not have our expectations too high, we were just looking forward for a nice and cozy place to stay for a night. However, we were quite impressed with what we found here. Not only was the spa exactly what we were looking for, but the restaurant was also incredible. The breakfast was tasty and varied, the food we ordered from the menu was splendid and the prices were fair. This is the first time that we ate more than one time at the restaurant from a hotel we were staying at, and we were only here for a night. Also the parking lot they provided was very helpful, as the city has limited parking spots and many visitors have to find private parking. We were even able to leave the car there for a few extra hours after we checked out while we explored the city a bit more. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Veliko, it will not disappoint.

Apart from having a room with two twin beds next to each other instead of a queen bed, there were no other issues whatsoever, even the distance from downtown is manageable, as we were able to get to all the places we wanted by foot.

Too far from the centre, there is no kettle in the room , no coffee machine also , room is small , the breakfast was poor and not that tasty .

Return visit to the Asenevtsi

The room was excellent. We had an apartment with balcony with a view of the pool and surrounding scenery - very beautiful. It was extremely clean and spacious.

I have been here before and the food has been better. They were very busy as the hotel was fully booked, so maybe this is why I was a bit disappointed on this occasion.

Big hotel in a good place

1. We asked for a quite room. And it was quite, even though there was a party in a Restaurant. We've been offered a room far from it. 2. Room is quite big 3. Parking is good 4. Breakfast is good

1. There was a problem with hot/warm water in our room. When you turn it on, you need to wait around 10-15 minutes to be able to take shower. That was a problem

Forest ambient

The room was big and cozy. The hotel is located in the forest just outside the city. It quiet and peaceful. The breakfast is very nice. In the evening you can have a nice dinner at the hotels restaurant.

i guess it's ok during the summer when the outdoor pool is open

-clean -good breakfast -they have doors with normal keys, meaning it was quite in the morning when people leave the rooms

-not close to the city center, you have to use the car -one king size bed, but with two single mattresses, very uncomfortable -we arrived on Saturday at 1pm and the hotel was empty based on the number of cars parked there, they didn't gave us the room -spa area is very small, with only one shower

Location close to the forest, clean air, beautiful place. Excellent local restaurant with professional staff and delicious cuisine.

The room had window in the backyard, full of junks and heavy smell from kitchen, impossible to get fresh air.

Exceptional

This is an excellent hotel that makes you want to come back! With a great location, very close to the center, with beautiful views around. Friendly staff, perfect cleanliness, spacious modern rooms. Breakfast is wonderful! Large selection of food and very tasty. This is not my first stay at the hotel, and next time I will also stay here with pleasure!

Roadside stay, no service restaurant

Good value for money, friendly and professional receptionist, OK food. The relax zone is a nice add on and quite impressive for a small hotel. Free parking.

Zero service attitude by the restaurant staff. You’re apparently only allowed to order once, not twice, and need to try hard not to get ignored. Rude and unwelcoming evening staff during our stay. Same for the evening receptionist. Total indifference - except for playing with her phone. NB: the place is totally smoked up as VT is apparently having a big smog issue in Winter. Eyes burning when walking outside, headache. This is surely not their fault, but we won’t return.
