Great stay

Excellent location with breathtaking views. A very nice, clean and tastefully decorated room. Excellent attentive and easily reachable hosts. A parking slot is across the street, very easy to park. The whole stay was very easy and comfortable.

Bathroom. It is very small, rather just a toilet with a shower fixed in it.

Good option for a night.

Nice and central location. I like the bed from room one, we came very tired from the road and were able to rest during the night. It is close to restaurants and central Veliko. They have parking in front which is very handy.

The fact we could not pay with card and where not notified before arrival to be able to have cash with us.

Had to pay extra charge for using the single bed that was already in the room No blinds, no thick curtains (the room is see-through in the evening/night) Shower is the same place than toilet, so expect to have a totally wet floor/toilet after each shower Check in and check out times were incorrect

Disappointing Stay

Good wifi. Fridge in the room. Very average hotel, nothing special.

Small beds, soft mattress, small bathroom, no shelves in bathroom, shower area makes everything wet. Old towels. Cash only even though the hotel policy says it accepts credit cards. Extra charge for garage parking. Nothing special or attractive about the room. Many stairs down to reach room. Small balcony, no chairs.

DISASTER. WE PAID AND LEFT IN SAME EVENING.

The man who is speaking on the phone knows english very good and seems to be an honest person.

The lady from reception was drunk and smells like alcohol. She tried from the first step in the hotel and insisted to me for canceling the booking on site and pay directly to her. Actually she refused to debit my bank card and request only cash pay. I didn't have the option to cancel without costs and she knew that. She doesn't speak a good and quality English and she doesn't inspire trust. Because of her behavior, we late our lunch with our 5 children (2 babies) till 14 p.m. My son assist on discussion with the lady and he got scared and cried. He had a trauma. We paid 100 euro on 2 rooms but we left the hotel 4 hours later because the lady ruined our day. It's my first worst experience on Booking with a such a host.

The hotel is located near to the city centre and tha main touristic attractions. The view (from balcony) is amazing.

The historical building that hosts the hotel is very beautiful, renovated with taste and attention to the details. The owner, Kate, is friendly and lovely, always eager to give information about the city and its most important highlights. Our room was big and has a terrace with an amazing view on the town. Moreover the hotel has a private parking lot just in front of its door and this is crucial since it's impossible to find a parking in the whole city centre.

Poor

The owner claimed something went wrong in the booking reservation. Despite my booking reservation was clearly showing we did book for three, she arrogantly insisted we paid the price for only two guests. Since it was late we had to pay for this extra money. I think this is an highly unprofessional behavior

Awful. Do not waste your money. They didn’t provide even toilet paper.

Only the location. If you like ghost house experience, this is the right place.

The hotel was locked. No receptionist on site. Nobody answered the phone. After an hour of trying a lady arrived to unlock the hotel. No other guests. She took the money, explained how to go in and out and left us alone till next morning.

We had a great experience in hotel Stambolov, the view from our balcony was amazing and it was very convenient to have a parking in front of the hotel since it is so hard to find parking around the city. Our host was the most kind and friendly. Very good stay, Location was perfect. I would recommend to everyone.

We liked everything. The room was beautiful although the bathroom was small and practical. The view made all the bucks!! Very well situated a little difficult to guess the gate. The host was polite and even recomended us where to eat and what to visit. Very comfy. Thank you for a nice staying!
