Great location in Engadin Valley, budget friendly and modern accommodation

Great location in proximity of main objectives in Engadin Valley with restaurant options near by and also public transport, if needed. Although we did not need it, could see they also offer rental for skiing equipment which is a big attraction in the area. The hotel itself is very modern and aims to be on the sustainable side of travel with no plastic in the rooms, handmade toiletries and optimized heating and water consumption which they achieve well. The rooms are basic in terms of design and furniture, without any fancy stuff like coffee machines or anything else except water in the minibar. They are simple but very well heated, with a cozy alpine atmosphere. The plumbing and water pressure and temperature are impeccable. The room we stayed in also had amazing views of the Alps to wake to up to in the morning. The restaurant features an array of fine dining dishes with local ingredients. Dishes are perfectly balanced and very tasty - do advise that you book in advance as they are very sought after and fully booked nearly all the time. The staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful. The place seems to be a renovation of an old Inn, very successfully and thoughtfully integrating local architecture with modern elements - very nice atmosphere throughout the establishment. There are plenty of areas for lounging and relaxing created with a lot of attention to detail and traveler experience.

The beds are extremely uncomfortable, the mattress is too stiff and you waking up feeling like you have slept on the pavement the entire night. The glass doors from the dresser are very noisy and so is the wooden floor for some reason - emitting almost echo like noise when walking around the room - it is impossible for one person to sleep while the other is awake. Coffee machine in the room would be a nice addition although we did not mind this too much since there is a coffee station on one of the floors. Breakfast is ok - eggs of any kind would be a nice addition. On the night of our arrival, after check-in, they asked if we wanted to reserve dinner at their restaurant, we weren't sure at that exact moment and were told we could decide later and they will work something out, however, the person we had spoken to was no longer around and come dinner time and although we were guests, the restaurant had already been fully booked including outside reservations. The staff was very sorry about this and gave us plenty recommendations within walking distance, however, from a customer experience POV, I do recommend that guests of the hotel are prioritized for dinner spots over outside reservations. We did appreciate that for the remainder of our stay there was always space to have dinner and we very much enjoyed every meal - impeccable dishes, I must again emphasize this and if you are a fan - the beef tartar is the best we've every had - a really amazing surprise.

Unterkunft sehr gut, Kulinarik hochpreisig.

Der Preis von zuerst 16 Fr und nach Reklamation immer noch 12 Fr für ein Glas Riesling im Garten ist eher in einem Grandhotel zu erwarten. Um das Haus zum Nachtessen nicht verlassen zu müssen, haben wir Gourmet gewählt. Lokal sehr schön. Aber für unsern Geschmack zu viel "Brimborium" beim Präsentieren und Servieren, was sich natürlich auch im Preis niederschlägt. Kaffee muss heiss sein, aber im servierten Gefäss ohne Henkel braucht man Schutzhandschuhe um sich die Finger nicht zu verbrennen.

Wir wollten mit Freunden, die nicht im Hotel gewohnt haben, Frühstücken. Das war leider nicht möglich. Sehr schade!

Unübertrefflich

Ein mit viel Liebe geführtes Hotel. Die Einrichtung stilvoll, viel warmes Holz und die Bilder von Not Vital ein echter Hingucker. Das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich und das Brot zum Frühstück ein Hit

La colazione era prezzo qualità ottima. Quello che non mi è per niente piaciuto era che ho dovuto uscire dall'albergo. Questa informazione mi è stata data solo all'arrivo in albergo. Anche la cena solo la prima sera, poi fuori dall'albergo

In camera c'era un letto con uno scalino per salirvi. Durante la prima notte sono caduta scendendo dal letto e mi sono fatta male al piede ed alla coscia. Non cera possibilità di avvisare nessuno. Nessun campanello di emergenza. Mi sono medicata da sola durante la notte (ho fatto le fotografie). Alla mattina ho informato alla ricezione, mi hanno dato del ghiaccio.

Es waren sehr schöne Tage, im Hotel Krone. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder gehen.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich - es war eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück im Fö e Flamma war hervorragend!

Die Preise sind ziemlich hoch, vor allem für das Abendessen.

Fantastisch- hier stimmt einfach alles: Ambiente, Tradition in neuer Hülle, es wird auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet, Bistro Restaurant sehr gut, Zmorge auch - Gourmet Restaurant noch nicht getestet- sieht aber vielversprechend aus 😉 komme gern wieder.
