Slightly dated but spectacular view!

The view over the lake from our room and from the restaurant is absolutely stunning - we watched the warm up runs for the White Turf racing over breakfast. The food was nice at both dinner and breakfast, the whiskey selection was extensive and the bartender made great cocktails too.

The service was a bit hit or miss, the hotel didn't respond to our transfer request so we had to incur calling charges to call them after we'd arrived at the train station. The hotel itself is a bit dated, and it has a cigar bar so the whole floor (including where our room was located) smelled of smoke which was a bit jarring in 2026! It has a little spa but it really is small and you have to book a time. There wasn't drinking water in the rooms/public spaces, which is a bit inconvenient when the hotel is so isolated. Overall, comparing it with other hotels we stayed at during our trip, this was the worst value for money.

Superb hotel - would recommend

Really nice hotel - I would say it’s more like a 4 star hotel . Really good breakfast , spa was smal but adequate and the bath robe was so soft , it felt new . My room had a view of the lake and was very quiet . Location just a few mins walk from train station was perfect and staff were very attentive to any requests I had . Would highly recommend

Location: 10/10 - right across the Train Station, with an uphill 5 mins walk away. Plus point: the hotel offers free shuttle to-from the station. Breathtaking view from our room and from the restaurant. They offer free postcards! Breakfast and Buffet dinner were fantastic - recommend the cheesy a la carte ravioli and panna cotta. Room with a view on St Moritz lake: 10/10 We found binoculars in our wardrobe and explored the Snow peaks around Whiskey bar: 10/10 45 mins leisure walk to Lej da Staz lake, with magnificent alpine scenery

Reception girl lacked hospitality skills and was as cold as the weather, and this partially dulled our excitement. Not welcoming at all and much gruesome. Because of this, rating of hotel is a 6/10. Was expecting someone more joyful and warm to match the beautiful and exciting location. Room heating system wasn't user-friendly and we found it uncomfortably warm at times.

The restaurant staff need re-training!

Our reservation for two nights included breakfast. We were told upon check-in that breakfast ended at 11 AM. On our second morning, we got to the dining room at 10:20 AM. Within a few minutes after our arrival, the chafing trays with the hot dishes, along with the toaster, were removed. Staff in the dining room were less than friendly, and made us feel like we were putting them out for asking for anything. I did complain to the front desk as we were checking out, but this is unacceptable to seasoned travelers like my husband and myself.

An excellent hotel. Well worth the money.

The hotel cannot be in a better location. It is practically the only hotel right on the shore of the lake. View from the restaurant was incredible. We used the shuttle service which was very comfortable and punctual. Full marks and many thanks. The breakfast was complete buffet and very good.

We had a room with a partial side view but it was still nice. The mattress need changing as they are too soft.

The view from our room was wonderful, right across the lake. The bed was extremely comfortable with a cosy , thick quilt. The bathroom was modern spacious. The hotel has spa facilities for guests to use.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms good food and close to the train!

It was really very nice. Extremely clean. Rooms weren’t super large but had all you need, bed was comfortable staff were wonderful. It is right by the train station (if you are walking to it walk through the tunnel toward the hotel it’s like a shortcut). The view in the restaraunt overlooking the lake and the town is beautiful and food was very good!

Everything was super clean well laid out ,good facilities , beautiful food and great customer service. Staff were very friendly and just a great atmosphere. Very relaxed and family like we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The only thing I would complain about is having to leave !! we should’ve spent at least another day or two here at At The Waldhaus in Saint Moritz particularly Alexander in the whiskey bar and Andrea on Reception and Thomas the manager very friendly good one to one contact and communication Claudio served us in the restaurant and was fantastic very knowledgeable and great with knowledge of local area and food

Our room was very small. One of our windows looked out over a rooftop covered in weed and rocks. We had to place our luggage on the floor there was no place to put it when we opened it. Also one of the waiters was very u friendly.

Bedroom very clean and reasonably comfortable but some worn furniture and could have been a little more luxurious. Only one guest lounge with lake view which was sometimes not available due to outside events.

Amazing view over the lake. Large cosy room with a modern and spacious bathroom. We had a private terrace with our room that was spectacular. Check-in and check-out went smooth. Breakfast had a great variety and the taste was great.

What’s not to like! Amazing location, looking over the lake at St Moritz. Lovely staff and excellent hotel facilities. Great breakfast. Carbonara was the best I’ve ever had.

Better Air con in the room or more information about the controls. The room was too hot for me so I didn’t have the best night sleep unfortunately.

We as Aussies were welcomed by Alex at the bar as soon as we arrived. All the staff were very friendly and helpful . The Breakfast was fabulous and the view was amazing . Good location if travelling by train

The location was good if travelling by train - a short walk from the station - and the views of the lake and the town from the restaurant and terrace were lovely.

Our room was right at the top of the property and was incredibly hot - there was one small opening window but it was difficult to get things cooled down. There was also no lift up to the top of the hotel - it stopped on the 4th floor and you had to lug your bags on some narrow stairs to get to the 5th floor.

Best location in St Moritz for views and access to the lake with brilliant dining options.

The breakfast and dinner were the best of our trip! The dining room had commanding views across the lake in a lovely peaceful location with direct access down to the lake. Rooms with lake view had stupendous views also. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and accommodating.

On arrival there was a cigar stub in the ashtray on our patio and a pair of someone’s shoe insoles on a high shelf in the room. Disappointed that the hotel shuttle wouldn’t meet us from the train station off the Glacier Express which arrived at 5.50pm. I had enquired about this well in advance and was told it stops at 5pm.
