Gem of a sanctuary

Overall good experience but wouldn’t come back to th same hotel.

Beautiful valley, nice bar, helpful concierge and classy hotel.

Food at the restaurant for dinner was below average for the price tag. Waiters were snobbish and didn’t pay attention at what they were doing. Sauna in the spa was not hot enough, no cold plunge.

Location, very nice pool and SPA

I had some trouble to make booking for 3 persons (parents and child) and finally chosed triple room with option for 2 adults as it was the only available option that days. During check-in staff wanted to charge extra 80 CHF per night even if we were ready to sleep in one bed. Finally they charged only for breakfasts for the kid, which was OK, but not without the discussion.

World class Spa . Superb location . Best hotel at St. Moritz

The location of the Scloss and the Spa pontresina is sinply magical . The spa is the most elaborate spa I have seen in the world . In this trip we stayed at over ten hotels and this spa wins hands down

Far away from St Moritz and Samadan … so only travel modus is through public transport or taxi . The hotel was superb enough to send us shuttle bus to pick up . Since we had an early morning flight we had to arrange taxi which too the hotel kindly arranged but it was expensive at chf 60 for one way . Tbh , just calling out that be prepared that if you need to commute early morning or late night it will be pricey .

Incredible and highly recommend.

Very comfortable, family oriented, central to the village, astounding views, very fun and calm atmosphere. Staff were wonderful. Provided chairlift passes complimentary.

The family spa hours were during breakfast, which meant either rushed breakfast or no spa usage. The listing also described a kids club with childcare, which unfortunately was not in service when we travelled in September (the room was closed and in need of updating anyways). The childcare service was one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel, so that was a disappointment- however the place was fabulous overall, and especially with the transportation pass provided there was plenty to do and we don’t regret staying there at all.

Beatiful view, poor breakfast

We had an amazing view of the Morteratsch glacier and the river in front, the room was nice and quiet, welcome at the reception was warm. The hotel itself is pretty and has lots of history.

The breakfast was a insult for the level of hotel that it is - no oats or muesli/granola, ‘hot’ section with shriveled sausages and eggs was barely warm, little fresh food overall (vegetables, fruit) but many cakes. One of the worst breakfasts we’ve ever had on our trips, and we travel a lot.

A lot of things run down or almost broken - such as the doors, windows, carpets. Very stingy hard drink portions at the bar.

Imagine how it was long long ago

The Spa and the pool was ok. The location is superb and the view really breathtaking.

A lot of the hotel, is like really old and needs renovation. Furthermore the hotel was occupied with a special travel group which had special needs, which made it a bit special for the rest of the guests. The Staff belongs more to a youth hostel than a 4 star hotel. There is little to no charm from the staff, and the front door was not really working, quite sad as it would have potential!

Amazing staff, very helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was great. Views from the room were lovely. The spa was fantastic!!!

Our room was situated right under the dining hall, so we constantly heard chairs and tables moving. The beds were very uncomfortable. And the garage of the hotel is not connected to the hotel so its uncomfortable walking to and from the hotel in bad weather.

Cosy rooms, excellent SPA facilities and a good restaurant on site. Breakfast offers a lot of choices, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. It's located just next to a cross-country track so if you're into that sport, you should definitely consider staying here!

It wasn't clear what language the staff speaks - some didn't speak any German, French nor English. The staff at the reception doesn't provide much information and is a bit chaotic. Keep in mind that the car garage is a bit narrow so not easily accessible for all cars.

A quiet hotel with a beautiful view

The hotel and our room was large, clean, warm and comfortable with amazing views. The people were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.

The hotel bar and restaurant lacked any ambience. The atmosphere in the hotel and Pontresina was much quieter than we like in the evening. Our taxi to St Moritz was only 10 -15 minutes but cost over CHF60 each way.

The room was quiet, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom refurbished and the shower was great. The SPA was also great, large, with many amenities, 2 saunas and 2 steambath, with nice pools. Very good breakfast. The staff at the reception as well as at the restaurant and bar was extremely professional, kind and super-available.

The check in/check out procedure is slow (15 minutes!). I think this is because of an old information system, because the personnel was friendly and polite and doing their best to accelerate the procedure. The carpet in the room is old and should be replaced. Also the lobby area is quite old style and would need some modernization.

The hotel is very nice although our room is not that big but clean. The breakfast is bounty. They have transport to pick and drop you.

One staff at the reception is not that helpful maybe a new staff (I didn't get her name). Customer service is very important, they should look into it, they should find way to help the customer.

It was a short stay but of good quality. Professional staff. The reception was helpful, and the restaurant staff advised us for local dishes. The room had a wonderful view, and we could hear the silence of the mountains. We also tried the spa, and the view from the swimming pool was stunning. Sure to come back.

housekeeping doesn’t care about ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door - they came to the room twice, I understand they didn’t have bad intentions but the sign is made for a reason, people in spa talking loud and having conversations in saunas, keeping sauna door wide open to check if they like the smell, there is no jacuzzi, the person designing car park most likely drove fiat 500 not the family car,
