Perfect location near Virgin Beach – a true hidden gem!

Pondok Diana is simply the perfect place to stay. The location couldn’t be better: just a short ride to Virgin Beach, and they even have their own little private beach only three minutes away. The rooms are huge, the bed super comfortable, and the shower more than fine. I felt so warmly welcomed here, and to top it off – breakfast was included. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking. From the rooftop terrace you have a view of the volcano on one side, and the ocean on the other, with endless green palm trees and rice fields in between. It’s just “wow” – pure paradise. It’s also easy to reach and only a five-minute ride from a fantastic local warung (ask the hosts for the name – it’s worth it!). For this price, with this comfort and location, it’s unbelievable. Truly a hidden gem in East Bali. 🌴🌊🌋

The accommodation absolutely does not correspond to the offer! Almost no amenities. There were no advertised toiletries or a fridge in the room. Also, there is no water for drinking or brushing your teeth available. Reply to the owner: The owner should think a lot. The rest is better left without comment...

Beautiful location, in the middle of rice fields. We had two rooms. Very spacious. 10m walk to virgin beach. The host is the most perfect tour guide you could wish for. He took us on a sightseeing tour for a whole day 🙏🏻

Beautiful Nature and Nice Family

Amazing location surrounded by beautiful nature. The room was clean and simple and the family of Diana is very kind and friendly. It’s 25 min walking from Virgin Beach and it has the most calm and relaxed vibe 😊.

You should rent a bike if you want to visit other places around as there is no Grab or Gojek (or very difficult to find)

Everything really: Peran was so kind and wanted to help at all times, aswel as her mom and dad! She actually helped me a lot! The room was very big and confortable. It had a really beautiful view to see the sunrise and a great terrace to relax! The place is located near by the Virgin beach. Overall I had a good stay and nice experience and would recommend Pondok Diana!

This was my first ever home stay experience so it’s hard to compare. Pera who is Diana’s daughter was lovely and showed me to my room and the roof with an amazing view. She made a lovely small breakfast each morning for my 2 day stay. Set amongst fields and palm trees it’s an easy 20 mins walk to Virgin beach. Diana son dropped me down the virgin beach one morning and was lovely to talk to and would not take my money when I offered to him for driving me down. I really liked virgin beach and really spent all my time here from sun up to sun down and there were lots of warungs and sunbed options to rent for the day. It was very inexpensive for me to stay at Pondok Diana, very well priced and good wifi. Diana and his family were very nice and helpful! You can see they enjoy hosting people and talking to them!

As I said I’d never stayed at a home stay before so was a bit of an experience! The room was large and did have aircon however doesn’t cool much as there are open windows and space above the door so the cool air gets sucked straight back out. I had brought a little handheld fan on my trip which I used and helped cool me down. No hot water, only cool so that kept me cool also and was fine not having hot water with it being hot days. If you like hot water note there is none. As window are open mosquitoes do get in the room. I had spray so popped that on. No Fridge which wasn’t a huge issue for me but would have been handy to keep water cold. 2 nights was perfect for me, that’s all you need.

Best place to stay

It was the best place we have ever stayed, in the beautiful nature, surrounded by hundreds of birds and jungle plants. Here for a short time we could enjoy the real Bali! The sunrise was magical and the family is lovely, helpful. The pancake for breakfast was good. Just one more tiny, but very important thing: here was the first time, when the windows were perfectly clean, so we had a really good view.

Nice people

Diana and the girl were amazing hosts. She has been cooking very nice meals and they have been helping us with the motorbike accident we had. Super nice location in the middle of the rice fields and close to Virgin Beach.

We know we were going in very basic accommodation and it was fine with us but for the price we paid, compared to other places where we have been in Bali, we were expecting a little bit more from the structure. The bed was comfortable but the place needs some work, especially the toilet.. This could be the reason to go and stay with them, to bring them money to fix some stuff! For sure they are very nice, helpful and welcoming people ❤️

A wonderful authentic experience close to the beach!

Very authentic! It is in a great location. Diana and his family are lovely. We walked everywhere: 1 km to Virgin Beach, 6 km round trip through the rice fields, 2 km to a large fruit/vegetable market- bug bug market. Options for food in the neighborhood also. Accommodation is very colourful and large, ac was great, breakfast was delicious, bed was firm but comfy, view of farmers field with palm trees, 2 terraces. Just bring your own toilet paper. It was a great stay.

Nice little budget hotel in the rice fields/jungle! Nice breakfast in the morning! The owner and his family were great! They will help you with anything you need and give you information about the area! They even fixed me dinner at night! Very near a beautiful place called Virgin Beach!

Enriching, magical and full of laughter.

Diana and his family were so incredibly welcoming. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease on my arrival, even though I arrived late, they still cooked delicious food for me. The longer I stayed here, myself, Diana and his family became friends and I had an amazing time hanging out with them, singing karaoke and sharing songs on his rooftop with his sound system. Diana even spent time talking to me about the Balinese culture and his philosophies. They have a lovely friendly, cuddly cat as well which is always a bonus and the room itself was such great value for money compared to the rest of Bali. This has been by far my favourite stop of my 2023 trip in Bali.

Very good location for surfing and chill at virgin beach eascape from the crowds. For this price it's good conditions big rooms no smell and buildings are breathing so no humidity. I can sleep good there. And relax.

The location is ideal if you can drive a scooter. The beautiful rice field, the proximity to the beach and the tranquility. Diana’s family is very caring, from breakfast, to transport and answering questions on local culture.

Excellent stay and in this price your won't get any better! Bed was comfortable, AC was there, bathroom was ok, and the wifi was working as expected. Beautiful views of the rice field in the morning, and we got delicious pancakes for the breakfast. And the host - Diana - is a wonderful man. We're really happy with this stay :)

Pondok Diana is a lovely homestay, clearly built with love. The owner Diana is friendly and has lots of great recommendations for things to see and do in the local area. He also has a wealth of knowledge about local Balinese culture if you're interested in leaning more about the beliefs and history of the island. The homestay itself is very comfortable and located very close to virgin beach. Ask Diana for tips on where to catch sunset.

If you wanna spend a night near Virgin Beach, looking for a budget accommodation, this might be the place. And there are many cats! It is a super local and charming house with entire place colourfully painted. The owner, Diana, is very friendly and talkative. The room was very basic, but comfortable enough.

I remember, there aren't any shops in the close distance. So, if you need something, might wanna get them before coming here.

Amazing value for money, clean room, lovely staff

We were looking for some basic accomodation for one night, close to the Virgin beach. We were surprised how nice and comfortable it actually was, the whole property, the room which was nice and big, nice terrace, the view.. The family that owns the place is super lovely, the A/C worked well, bed was comfortable. I wouldn't mind staying for a couple of days actually, it's just a very short ride to the Virgin beach which is beautiful and very peaceful in the morning.

Ecclectic Homestay run by amazing family

Diana and his family were wonderful! I enjoyed my breakfast on my balcony overlooking the rice paddy fields every morning. It is a scoot away from Virgin Beach which is beautiful! Diana rented me a scooter and also gave me amazing recommendations on what to do around the area. A perfect place for solitude for an amazing price.

Very simple accommodations. No hot water, so if you are chill with that than book a stay here and you won’t regret it!
