Nice place, great staff next to a busy noise road.

You receive a greeting drink and a flower necklace when you arrive. The staff is so sweet and nice. It’s super clean and the staff is ensuring that everything is ok for you. Also the place looks beautiful.

It’s direct next to a street which goes uphill to three other cities or villages. Meaning there is frequent driving and since you need a lower gear driving uphill it’s noisier than a regular street. The hoses next to the street with a thin bamboo layer as wall are zero soundproofing. You hear the street noise all over the place. Since I complained about it I was able to move to another house with proper walls and further away from the street. This place is far away from everything, you can do nothing by walking - if you don’t want to walk at least 30 Minutes. You need a scooter and grab is not available there, be aware of that. I would skip candidasa and go direct to Amed. Now you may ask why you don’t read here a lot about the noise issue? I got asked frequently not to provide a feedback here regarding they noise because it may be an issue for the business. They offered even one free night if I would not do so. I think that it is not fair to other travelers looking forward for a quite nice place. You deserve to stay at a nice place when you use your savings to spent a vacation here. That’s my opinion.

I would love to return and stay longer next time.

A lovely stay near Virgin Beach. I stayed in a bamboo house, which was not only cool but also very airy and comfortable. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—they greeted me with a beautiful Jepun necklace and a refreshing glass of iced tea, which immediately made me feel at home. Although I only stayed for one night, the peaceful atmosphere and the kindness of everyone there made a deep impression on me.

Very close to virgin beach, a hidden gem

The cottages were close to the Virgin Beach, which is a hidden gem and very nice to spend a day there. The 30 min walk to the beach is very relaxing and through the local landscape. The staff were very friendly and they even provided us an upgrade to another room. You have to be patient to find a grab but you can find some. The water of the swimming pool is warm enough to swim and relax. We had a great stay.

The staff went the extra mile, the bamboo and frangipani vibe was tranquil, the village was untouristy, pretty and had easy shopping, and the walk to the beach passed fields and houses.

Peaceful Garden Retreat with Warm Balinese Hospitality

We had a truly wonderful stay at Jepun Didulu Cottages! Mangku, Gusti, Ilu and the entire team were incredibly warm and welcoming, offering genuine Balinese hospitality that made us feel right at home. The cottages are nestled in a beautifully curated garden on a quiet hillside, providing a peaceful, remote vibe that was perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The setting, on the edge of a small local village, felt authentic and serene—yet it’s just a short 10–20 minute drive to nearby beaches, restaurants, and other amenities. Our cottage was cleaned daily, and we were well looked after throughout our stay. We especially loved the fresh fruit on the menu— it was delicious and good value! For those working remotely, we’d recommend bringing your own data as the WiFi can be a bit intermittent. That said, it was a small trade-off for such a special, off-the-beaten-path experience. We loved it here.

Wonderful stay close to the Virgin Beach

I spent the Balinese New Year's Eve at Jepun Didulu Cottages, and it was the perfect place to be. The property, with its beautiful garden and small pool, is wonderful and relaxing. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, and my bamboo cottage was fantastic—the best bed I’ve ever slept in after a month in Bali. The location is also great; from the property, you can walk for about 30 minutes to Virgin Beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jepun Didulu Cottages. The cottages were very clean and exactly as depicted. The staff is very friendly. Mangku also arranged for a snorkeling excusion to Amed and our transport to Ubud (with stops at Besakih, Pura Tirta Empul and Pura Gunung Kawi). We were very happy with the drivers and service provided. Highly recommended.

Beautiful two night stay

Great well run bungalows near a small village and a 30 minute walk to Virgin Beach. Maku and Gusti can organise tours, transport including scooters, trekking, or anything else you need, just ask ! We did a lovely trek between Kastala and Tenganan Villages and saw some beautiful rice terraces and farmers working in their fields, it was so beautiful.

Where do i even start? Our stay at jepun didulu was amazing. Monku is the best and funniest host you can imagine und does everything to make your stay as beautiful as possible and helped us with nearly everything (good vegan breakfast, activities and transportation). If you can't drive a scooter, Monku provides a driver for you to explore the island. His nephew drove us around for a really fair price. Everything was perfect. It's just the small details, that makes this place so special. The bungalows and the facilities are super clean, nicly decorated and well equipped. There's even hot water for taking a shower. We couldn't think of a better stay in bali. Thank you so much. We would love to come back again. Highly recommended!!!

The property was very scenic & in a great location. Everything was sustainable. They had great attention to detail. We felt so comfortable & the staff were so friendly. We stayed at a room with a cute tub. There are a lot of outdoor area to chill. The staff also recommends amazing places to sightsee. They also have a inhouse restaurant. We recommend their breakfast as well. This place is 5 mins from Virgin Beach & 15 mins from other attractions like bukit cinta. We would love to come back here!

Incredibly warm welcome and helpful staff, with nice cottages in a pretty garden setting

We chose to stay at the cottages after a last minute cancellations of our boat to Gili Air. Rooms were lovely and spacious and great value for the price. Staff were incredibly helpful at helping us book onward transport to Nusa Lembongan when we had to change our plans - organising car and boat tickets which were convenient and very inexpensive. We had a lovely day at virgin beach with a driver organised by the cottages too - yummy fresh fish and a beautiful spot. Would love to stay longer next time.

I would highly recommend this place as tidy, cozy and simple hotel.

Very cozy and quite simple accommodation. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The owner of the place make your stay special and full of nice surprises. We used driver Bagus and can highly recommend him (ask owner). The beach near the hotel was very nice and clean. We are all in all very satisfied with our stay.

Cute spot

Mangku is such a character, who provided so many laughs during our stay. All the team esp Gusti go out of their way to ensure your stay is one to remember. By the time we left even Mila was starting to notice us more and provide a bit more courtesy (four legged team member). We were so grateful for the little treats bought up in the evening. The tofu was delicious. The accommodation is set among the most stunning tropical garden. The rooms are cosy and designed in an authentic balinese design, and outside there is relaxing deck to chill out on in the hot Balinese evenings. Unfortunately at the time of our booking the pool was being serviced, however we were able to use the pool next door. However, I can imagine the pool on-site being a delight to splash about in. A visit to Virgin beach is a must.

Tea and Coffee was provided, but no kettle. We were told to use the pot to boil water. Not a game changer.

Great stay in Eastern Bali

The place had a great view and the property was very green. The staff tried to be helpful whenever they could and arranged for drivers when we needed them.

The road outside was very noisy but it died down at night. There are no shops around. The shower in the bathroom could be better positioned. Other than that it was perfect

Absolutely amazing

We really had such a lovely stay. We are traveling with a 3 years old and a baby (11 months ) and the cottage with the 2 bedroom was amazing. The room is really big and super clean. There is more then enough space to hang around in the room or the balconies. And everything you need is in the room. Koffie, water fridge. The cottage is only a short ride with the scooter to the amazing virgin beach. Then the staff is also very kind ! Everyday they ask if they could help with anything and gave us advice when we wanted to go somewhere. They arranged the scooter for us is 5 min. Really just excellent. We hope to come back again.

The owner was very friendly and nice, and gave us a plate of plenty of fruits, you also got a stove and simple cooking ware if you'd like to cook some simple food, just the pots and plates are not very clean😅. The water was hot enough and the water pressure was good. And I like the bamboo house and the whole section of the accommodation area, It is very relaxing and simple, recommended! Worth of money.

Arguably the most loveliest welcome I have had in Bali, Mangku and his team welcome you with a garland of flowers and a welcome drink very sweet ! and the biggest smiles !! Their driver picked me up from my hotel in Seminyak and its was smooth sailing all the way ! From the gorgeous tropical immaculately kept gardens to the HUGE sized bedroom ! accommodation , gorgeous thatched roof cottages elevated so you can admire the garden and views beyond, inside you have facilities to cook with a small kitchenette fridge coffee and tea making facilities and outdoor shower/bath room - I am not usually a fan of the outdoor bathrooms but this actually is half and half and done nicely ! the pool albeit not massive is a welcome relief when you have come home from sightseeing - Talking of which Mangku and his Team Driver BAGUS is amazing ! i had a specific list of what i wanted to see they organised it within seconds ! VIRGIN Beach is a must its in my opinion one of the the best beaches on bali unspoilt and beautifull still - They always offered to take me to the beach on their scooter and pick me up ! as a goodwill gesture which is just amazing ! I felt uber comfortable, breakfast simple but tasty and evening meal offerings we're also good ! you are off the beaten track here but at one with nature so expect the usual jungle critters and noise the beautiful gardens are a Gecko playground but they keep the mossies away ! I highly recommend this place especially if you want to see the REAL BALI ! Mangku and his family were amazing hosts. The grass huts gave a traditional feel, very big, comfortable and well equipped. Loved the outdoor bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Food available all day. The gardens and pool are beautiful. Our favourite location, walking distance to Virgin Beach. Clean within warnings and great reasonably priced food.

Amazing place in the midst of nature, the most beautiful and comfy accommodation we have been in Bali and the most beautiful welcoming as well. We stayed in the deluxe room and is so pretty to be true. I would recommend to stay at least 2 nights because the area is truly so beautiful just to discover around and no touristy. Our favourite from Bali. Staff from hotel treated us so good that we didn’t want to leave (L) Thank you!!!
