Very bad experience, the room was dirty and the personel very bad and judging

The localisation

The women I think the owner was disrespectfully, she asked us to pay directly when we arrived but didn’t give us the right amount of change so we ask her the rest and she was haughty with us. Didn’t have the WiFi, didn’t remind us that we had a breakfast include. Try to take advantage of us when we ask for a taxi (gave a very big price). Moreover the room was dirty, we saw cockroaches in the bathroom, stains on the sheets.

There were baby chickens running around

There’s a very clear difference between a language barrier and rudeness. When I booked for 2 nights I noted “coming for my birthday, please give us your favourite room”. When we got there they had given us an ordinary room but said it was special so we had to pay more. We were confused but paid the difference. The next morning the owners wife was abrupt and intense about us staying for breakfast. Her husband (The owner) came to speak to us and explained that we couldn’t stay in our room anymore as they had assigned it to new guests and that we had to move (despite us paying more for the room). They moved us into a room where the door couldn’t lock. I was told that the door not locking was not their problem. I explained that we need to be able to lock the door and the wife went and spoke to her husband about it - after she didn’t return for 10 minutes, I went to go find them and they were both sitting on their phones watching TikTok’s. When the man saw me there he frustratedly approached me in his underwear and told me to just move rooms. He also farted when he walked away which was super rogue. I explained that if there were any more issues, we would need a refund so we could change accomodations. This angered his wife and she began to talk rudely about me to another staff member right infront of me (not knowing that I understand Bahasa Indonesia). At 8pm they moved us to a third room, removed the pedestal fan and a pillow and stayed outside of our room mocking us for another 20 minutes. The room had no ventilation and low speed ceiling fans so I asked for the pedestal fan back (angered the staff again). We also woke to large ants crawling on us and cockroaches all over the room. If you can sleep through all of that and the bed springs stabbing into you then you'll love it here. This place should be taken off of Booking.com. Not worth the tiny amount they charge.

This place is amazing. Simple, but very clean. Kputra and his family are very kind and helpful, his wife makes delicious banana pancakes for a modest but great breakfast. The location is great, right in the heart of Amed.

The Ventilators are not really doing anything and the water to shower is cold. Not big of a deal if you on such a beautiful place like Amed.

The matrass was a bit too hard to sleep on, but a couple of nights later one can get used to it.

the staff is very very bad. They are very few friendly. They want to charge you everything. They didn't want to give me toilet paper. They don't give water and much less coffee. They are too rude.

it's a nice property and the rooms are good value for money. The staff is really nice and helpful and will try everything to make it comfortable for you!

They did not do room service once in 3 days. Not even sweeping or something. Also maybe pay before otherwise you will be asked by the hosts wife every day to pay. I normally pay always just before I leave otherwise I have to pay twice because of scooter rental and stuff like that but yeah so she asked me to pay literally every day which made me uncomfortable as I would leave without paying... The husband is really kind and helpful tho

Good and nice place to stay while in Amed but...

The room and bathroom are nice. Breakfast is simple, a banana pancake and tea or coffee. I liked the design of the homestay and the garden a lot. Very tropical and Hindu inspired. The caretakers are doing everything they can to make your stay pleasant. It is a nice family. I also liked the patio in front of the room.

When I booked the property it was listed as having Wi-Fi available. However, when we went there there was no Wi-Fi available at all. They shut down the contract because of the crisis. I understand this decision in these difficult times but please remove the Wi-fi availability from your Booking listing. It is confusing for guests and you will get more reviews like mine if you don't adjust it. The ceiling fan in the room has only one stand and it is quite fast. So without the fan, it's too hot, and with the fan, it's too cold. Couldn't find a sweet spot.

Good value for money

Quiet and relaxed place, but also close to supermarket and all what you need. Room and bathroom looked very nice. Good and safe parking area for motorbike. At one day a rabbit was jumping around the garden 😍

Breakfast not enough and too late. No moscito net, got a lot of insect bites at night...

Всю ночь кто-то бесконечно очень громко скребся на потолке не давая спать. За стеной геста также постоянно плакали маленькие дети местных жителей. Вентилятор сломан и издавал ужасный звук. А ещё по мне пробежал таракан, пока я спал. В общем спать в этом месте было просто невозможно. А в итоге хозяйка меня пришла выгонять из геста в 11:20, потому что ей нужно было убраться перед следующими гостями.
