Good location, although the road to get there is very muddy and cars cannot pass through
I am confused by all the amazing reviews, as there were many issues during my stay unfortunately :( The bathroom is completely outside, and had lots of mold in it on the walls. The room itself was clean, but it is a wooden house so there are small holes in the floor and walls making it so that the AC cannot ever cool the room, and it is always humid inside. My AC also broke the second night of my stay. This is not the properties fault, but there are roosters that literally perch directly on the balcony (see photo) that wake you up between 4-5 am every morning directly outside your room so it is impossible to ignore. For the price I think you can find a nicer stay :(

A few bungalows in alley just behind another bungalow place. Friendly staff. They serve breakfast at your bungalow.
The location. Out of the center. Many mosquitos. No seaview. Beach is nearby, but not nice and not much going on. Far out. Basic, small, dark bungalow.

Good location, no sea view but by walk 50 m.
Get not bet bungalow, problem with bathroom. Hotel night overpriced.

Soka Amed Beach is a calm and charming place to stay. The bungalows are clean, comfortable, and just a short walk from the black-sand beach. The owner is very kind and easy to talk to, and together with the amazing staff they make you feel truly welcome. Everyone is attentive and helpful, always keeping the place tidy. I also liked the small shared kitchen, which is very practical. It’s possible to rent a scooter directly at the property, and even book a massage, which made the stay even more relaxing. Breakfast can be ordered for the next day, and it was always generous and tasty. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to extend my stay for another week.

Even though it’s not directly on the beach , the beach is accessed via a little path just 2 min walk. It’s also a bit out of the center which was so great for us and you can join the center by feet in 10 min or in motorbike in 5 min. Staff was great and super nice.

Fantastic location, fantastic room, fantastically clean and lovely staff! The best place we stayed in over an entire month’s travel across Indonesia.
There’s nothing to not like.

Such good service and clean place. Located in a nice and calm area with one minute walk to the beach. The bed was comfy and so nice with the outdoor shower that had hot water if needed. Strongly recommend this place and really affordable too with fantastic service!
Was nothing I didn't like, all was great.

This was our second stay during our Bali round-island cycling trip, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect after a tough day!
We arrived late at night after a grueling climb, but Wayan, the night shift staff, was patiently waiting for us. He was incredibly welcoming, helped us settle in, and even went out to get us some light snacks since we were tired and hungry — truly above and beyond!
The rooms were cozy and clean, and the open-air showers were such a refreshing treat after a long day of cycling. Waking up to the sound of the ocean nearby was amazing. Breakfast was another highlight — freshly prepared by the super friendly morning staff. You could really feel the care and warmth in the way they served the meal. Sitting on the veranda with a nice breeze, enjoying a hearty breakfast while looking out towards the beach, was simply the best way to start the next leg of our journey.
The location is peaceful, very close to the beach, and perfect for relaxing after a long ride.
Soka Amed Resort really made us feel at home. Big thank you to Wayan and the team for their kindness and hospitality. Highly recommend for cyclists and anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly place to stay in Amed!

Nice garden, big room
Mosquito net broken
Mosquito net was so dirty we had to remove at least 20 spiders before we could sleep
Really dirty walls and under the bed, ant party in bathroom
Really light walls, you can hear everything from your neighbours..
Staff speaks no word english, and asks 250rp for 8 min taxi ride (local company charges 50rp...)
We didnt feel good there at all..

30 second walk from the water. Was able to take a swim every morning. Its clean, quiet, the yard is nice.
It is a bit far out but there are delicious restaurants around (i didnt have a scooter) they rent one out though and you should have no problem getting around.

It was so far the most comfortable bed and pillow I slept in Bali. The place is close to the beach but not close to the road so we enjoyed quiet nights and privacy. It’s clean and had working space which was very convenient. Wi-fi was ok and place was cleaned every day. You can walk 10 min through the beach to many restaurants and don’t miss “Good stuff” restaurant, they have amazing coffee and food.
Bathroom was outdoor and walls looked like it had some mold or maybe just need deep cleaning. The flowers in the bathroom need some trimming but in general the garden was well maintained.

Nothing except a light missing when you arrive at night...

I loved the fact that was a little remote and had no hustle or bustle anywhere near here. Hosts had little english but enough. They arranged moto hire and serviced the room every day. My bungalow was quite big with a wonderful outdoor bathroom (all covered except for shower). Hot water and air-conditioning but no TV. Good wifi.
There is a wonderful high quality Italian restaurant within a 3 minute walk and I enjoyed a massage every night a 10 minute walk down the road.
Really comfortable bed with mosquito netting. My own verandah with day bed and reclining lounges. Plenty of storage space for clothes. A desk and chair.
For me this was perfect. I have nothing I could suggest to make my stay more comfortable.

I liked the location and the garden
There is no privacy, there were bugs on the mattress and coupd not sleep from the bites, the flash of the toilet didn't work.

It's a beautiful property right by the beach. You can hear the ocean, very quiet.
Peaceful.
Okay, the reason why I'm giving this a lower review might be due to the hut they gave me (the one closet to the ocean) it was old and rustic, and happened to have a hole in the ceiling so when it rained, my entire bag got SOAKED. They gave me a small discount, but considering it's rainy season, I would avoid that hut 😬

A nice little bungalow, so you are not sharing a wall with others. The room was a great size with a mosquito net covering the bed to keep those pests away while you sleep.
As it is a rustic bungalow, there are gaps in the wall, so the mosquito net was quite necessary. Also, it is an outside bathroom, so you must be careful when you use it at night, for showers or other, because of possible insect bites.
The location is a bit hidden, so finding it could be tricky but not a problem after you know where it is.

Very spacious place. Bed comfortable. Staff excellent. Would have stayed longer but booked out.
Best breakfast pancake so far after staying in 3 other places. Highly recommend.
It’s a bit out of the way so a scooter would be good to get in and out of town. They are available so no problem. Not too far to walk if you go via the beach. No sea view but that is reflected in the price.
