Amazing place!

Everything. Salt Resort & Spa truly exceeded my expectations. The location is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, right by the ocean, and perfectly maintained. The staff were some of the kindest and most attentive people I’ve met; they always greeted us with genuine warmth and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The room was clean, spacious, and very well prepared, with thoughtful touches that showed great attention to detail. The pool and surrounding areas were spotless and incredibly relaxing. Overall, the property has a really calm, boutique feel that makes you instantly unwind. I would absolutely stay again and highly recommend Salt to anyone visiting Amed.

A nice place to stay as long as you don’t get rooms one or two

we liked the rooms, the restaurant, the closeness to the ocean and the staff

The first night we stayed in room one and we couldn’t sleep all night due to the road noise and the motorcycles and the barking dogs. The second night we stayed close to the ocean and it was wonderful so don’t stay in room one or two and then it will be probably fine.

Mother and daughter on a road trip through Bali

NIce and decent resort. one of the best in Amed. Friendly staff and a variety of food in the restaurant. great selection for breakfast. The Salt resort has its own charm! the surroundings are very messy and dirty, beaches and access streets, but you have nothing to do with the Resort itself. It's just such an area, authentic to the Eastern life of Balezan.

all prices are without tax. it says in very small letters that 17% is added to the price. I simply got hooked on the southern part, that the price includes all taxes, when it already has to be paid. I personally do not like those marketing moves to attract customers and dealing with mathematics.

The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was some of the best I had in Amed. The room was clean and very nice.

Charming hotel with friendly staff, nice facilities, beautiful location on the beach, good food. Very good value for money

The room was a bit noisy in the evening due to its proximity to the hotel bar and a nearby street bar, but it settled before midnight. Also light sleepers like me might notice the sprung mattress.

A big disappointment - and we left early.

Nothing much, was simply a bad choice

We had the most expensive room, but it was next to construction which was also very visible, and noisy. Ants everywhere, as well as stray dogs. There was plenty of (very young) staff, but they had little to do. Music in the restaurant was unnecessary (our opinion) and much too loud close to the hotel rooms.

Decent stay.

Decent stay for a short period. The staff are friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable, the hotel has a pool and black sand beach front. Breakfast and the food was alright generally speaking.

Grab or gojek doesn't work as the area is controlled by locals. You will have to pay a premium (3x grab prices) and can only be arranged by the hotel! Very noisy due to fisherman's work, starting very early in the morning, boat engine, chickens, stray dogs and the room windows and door are not sound proof.

The filtration of the swimming pool should have been better. The light was broken in the swimming pool the glass if a child had of kicked off from the light it would have been disastrous

Amazing spot to chill out at

We were in the self contained seaside bungalow which was separate from the main hotel but still gave us access to the facilities. We felt like we had the place to ourselves as we were steps from the beach. The first and last sound we heard was the sound of the ocean and the sunrise from our bed was magical. There are some great warungs just outside the resort. The beach is calm and easy to swim in but might need some beach shoes to navigate the pebbles as you go in. Breakfast was included which consisted of fruit juice, unlimited tea/coffee, choice of a main dish from the menu (both western and local dishes) and a small fruit platter - all delicious!

The location is a little far from the main village which limited options for food a little. There is no Grab or Gojek if you need a car so it was difficult getting back from the supermarket unless you are prepared to get on the back of a motorbike with your groceries - particularly the large 15lt water bottles.

Calm accomodation, with nice breakfast.

The resort is in a really calm enviroment. You can find a shop near and nice restaurants. We get a free massage and the staff can help you with everything. There is a mosquito net above the bed, which is really helpful. There were some gekkos in the room, because the bathroom is a really bit open. The breakfast was the best in Bali.

The cleanliness was not perfect, but it wasn’t bad. In Bali don’t wait western cleanliness.

Third visit

This is my third time staying at Salt and I never want to leave. It is a beautiful boutique accommodation, right on the beach. Close to bars and restaurants and the onsite restaurant is greay as well if you dont want to leave. The staff are fantastic as well. Can't wait to see them again.

Right on the beach and we could easily access snorkelling, restaurants and see both sunrise and sunset right from our room. We also loved that the property is dog friendly so we can bring our pup along for the visit.

Family friendly resort in a good location.

Our favourite place in Amed located right opposite the beach. This was our third visit and we booked two rooms. Lovely pool and ideal location to stay. Many new cafes are within walking distance and local warungs are adjacent to the entrance road. Food and drinks are very good. There’s happy hour daily from 3-6 and all day Sunday for cocktails. Definitely a good reason to relax and enjoy the day. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a highlight after watching the sunrise. Great location for early risers to view the sunrise over the sea. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again no doubt.

Unfortunately if your room is on the south side you are closer to the beach bar next door that plays music with deep bass that reverberates through your room. Annoying but nothing that the hotel can control. Thankfully it’s not all night and into the early hours.

Our room stunk of raw sewerage due to the sewerage pipes being blocked We asked to be moved but no spare rooms, we asked for a reduction in accommodation but they had taken money up front and would not refund any. We asked for a reduction in the end cost of food and beverage and that was also refused .

Had some trouble with the shower water pressure being very low. When we asked for help from the staff they promptly checked it out and fixed it though. Always ask if something isn't working! The staff are lovely and happy to help.

stunning little find!

the location is beautiful, a short walk took us down the main strip where there were tonnes of cafes, restaurants, and diving places. the team were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble! we organised washing as the price was so reasonable, we booked a snorkeling trip through the hotel directly too which we really enjoyed. the food was nice and had the best people watching view over the beach. would 100% stay again as we loved Amed

Great location, hotel was 10/10, great food and kind staff. Massage with Ayu was heavenly. So wonderful this experience beach side with lovely local people, friendly and curious dogs and cats. This accommodation is a must. Clean rooms, air con and great. Did great snorkeling organised by the staff. Saw turtles, coral and plenty of fish.

The first room we had was in main block. Beside pool and was lovely but lots of road noise. Second room ( booked separately due to our mix up) was in annex. Much quieter but further away from hotel facilities

Great location and spacious rooms. Quaint resort.

This was our second stay at Salt and we love it. Great location on the beach to watch the local fisherman come and go and lovely spacious rooms, refreshing pool and really lovely food and drinks at the in house restaurant. Also close to walk to the Green Lemon next door for food/music or the rooftop bar/restaurant too for great sunsets overlooking Mt Agung. We recommend it to many on Bali Groupies Facebook group.

Great staff, restaurant, rooms, and massages.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here. I booked a room for one night at the last minute. I had not realized it was at the end of town; but honestly, other than wanting to walk into town to see it again, the resort has everything you need. The staff, restaurant, and massages were great. I slept for 9 hours because the bed and pillows were comfortable, the room was dark, and it was quiet. I hope to come back.
