Didn’t like anything about it to be honest
There wasn’t much around , the restaurant staff were rude and started shouting at us when we complained food was cold
It was my birthday and my friend asked then to sing happy birthday
They brought out a desert with a candle and added it to my bill!,,
2 of our group dived and had to walk through a mozzies infected swamp to get to the beach - they didn’t bother taking the 2nd dive

Overall, a nice place with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were professional and helpful.
The swimming pool is nice, the restaurant has good options, and breakfast was delicious. They have games and draft beer.
Cheap scooter rental available
Not beachfront, although the beach is just a short walk away, but it's not a nice beach. Full of boats, chickens and trash.

It was already our second time in Kura Kura Divers Lodge. We really like staying there, especially in rooms located in ground floor. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Swimming pool is nice. Breakfast options are good. We also like the location - close to many restaurants.

The rooms are designed exceptionally convenient and efficient, a wonderful bed, a balcony, a large shower/bathroom and very clean. About the bed: I read this before but really true; I haven’t slept as good for years as in this hotel. Maybe because I spent my mornings diving and afternoons strolling around. But still. Further: Almost all balconies or first floor rooms face the pool. The restaurant is cosy, particularly nice is that’s it on the second floor, giving kind of a rooftop experience. Staff is kind, and treat you from the first they really as an appreciated guest. The pool small but good, providing deeper and shallower spaces. Actually, all was great, given the value for money. Last but not least: food in restaurant tasty, and the menu is a mix of Indonesian and Western. The combination with the diving school made it a perfect spot for me. It isn’t a large property but definitely one of the best I’ve stayed in Bali so far. I was lucky enough to meet one of the co-owners, who explained his philosophy. I can only say he managed to realize what he had in mind. Lastly, the area of Amed is really fantastic.
If I’ve to mention something it’s that no laundry services are rendered. This while I noticed an industrial laundry machine and dryer at the premises. However, reception informed that there’re laundries in the village but that’s an extra step to take. I would have liked to continue my journey with clean clothes. But never mind, I’ll wash upon arrival in my next destination. The property is great.

Excellent location — close to everything you might need. Still, it’s worth renting a scooter to explore Amed and the surrounding areas, as there’s plenty to see and do in this beautiful part of Bali.
The hotel’s restaurant was great; breakfast was generous and delicious. Our room and bathroom were clean, though a few details (like the bedside lamps and some bathroom fittings) showed minor signs of wear. The air-conditioning was a definite plus, and the pool was lovely — especially for beginner divers.
Overall, this place offers great value for money in Amed. A big bonus was the on-site dive center, Kura Kura Divers. We took a refresher course with Ben and Wayan, and they were simply fantastic.
For us, this was a practical and well-located base for diving and exploring the area. If that’s what you’re looking for, we’d highly recommend giving it a try.

Spacious and practical room, big and clean swimming pool for a relaxing afternoon, very friendly and helpful staffs, decent restaurant with hearty breakfasts… We were travelling with a baby, the dive shop staffs helped us arrange diving trips keeping the baby in mind, we really appreciated it!
The bathroom didn’t look clean (I understand the issue with hard water, but it just didn’t look nice and we didn’t seem to have such a problem in other hotels in Bali). There were hairs from the previous guest in our bed, especially underneath the decorative bed textile that says Kura Kura. The air con was extremely weak in room 6, it took a few hours before it cooled the room to a temperature where we didn’t sweat…

I really enjoyed staying at Kura Kura. The rooms are very spacious and clean. There is a diving school en suite for fun dives or to get certified (ask for Ben as divemaster). Special thanks to Yuni, the receptionist, for always being so cheerful and helpful with everything!

The property was very well maintained. The room was without a blemish, very clean and modern. Aircon worked perfectly, balcony with seating, clothes airer and a nice view of the pool.
We were pleased to be able to have our little dog with us and we were given the use of a free cot for our son.
The free breakfast was great, would be even better if they had some alternative milks as I can’t drink dairy milk.
We also had dinner in the restaurant and found it helpful the various games available to occupy our son.
The only things for improvement I would note would be getting in Oat, almond or soy milk as an alternative option for patrons. 2 bottles of drinking water in the fridge in the rooms would be great along with disposable toothbrush’s.
The reception staff could be a little happier/ smile more although they weren’t rude at all. Just something we noticed.
Overall very pleased with our stay, we will recommend the hotel to friends.
We loved the property

It’s got everything you need! Dive shop, restaurant with craft beers on tap (haven’t seen that in the almost 2 months I’ve been in Indonesia!), and a beautiful room and pool. Right across the street from the beach, just a short walk down a path past some homes/hotels depending which cut through you take, more restaurants and shops an easy walking distance. Reggae bar is close by and makes for great sunset watching with beanbags and chill vibes.

The little terrace was nice, the pool and also the shower
The room looks like a little studio (with a desk where I could work and a fridge) which is nice
Also there is a restaurant (easier to eat when the weather sucks)
The activities are a little bit expensive compares to the offers that you might found outside
The breakfast can be improved

We loved everything. The friendliest staff we met in Bali, really helpful, fun and nice. We took our Open Water and Advanced courses here and we enjoyed our experience, definitely the staff made it easier. We discovered here that we love diving.
The room was big, clean and comfortable.
The price is correct. Additionally, they have scooter rental and laundry service + breakfast included.
We had dinner here for 2 nights and the food was really good and tasty.

Hotel is well designed and very modern unlike other places. For divers it has balireef divers office just inside the hotel. You can plan your scuba diving and see amazing corals and marine life. They do rent motorcycles with very good price. You can also plan a fishing trip at hotel it was amazing experience. Hotel also has kitchen with good price.

The location near the beach, the staff who help us to organise our day trip, the swimming pool and of course the quality of the room. Highly recommended.

It’s pretty new and modern hotel. Its location works well for me as my dive center was a few minutes away. One staff was very kind.
Breakfast’s bread were often not fully baked so very doughy. The egg was burned with black char on the bottom. The pizza that I ordered were not fully cooked so I only had a few pieces. The restaurant staff treated me differently from other white travelers. As an Asian female solo traveler I faced this a bit in Bali, this time I felt more unfair. I needed to go to find a staff to order and my coffee came way later than other white people even I ordered before them. That staff was very friendly chatting with them not to me. It’s very subtle but I didn’t feel welcome at all.
One time I found that there was staff key to my door, left there for two hours unattended. When I pointed it out, the staff at the reception didn’t apologize and was defensively saying it was only left for two hours. Also I found that cleaning tools were left in my shower room and my pyjama was thrown on the floor. There were so many ants too in the bed and floor.
Overall it could’ve been better experience but it was not.

All was good, but if hip or knee problems, then ask for ground floor room

Everything was great! Clean and cozy room with a small terrace and a comfortable sofa, which is great to sit on in the evening. A tasty and hearty breakfast. And very friendly and welcoming staff. We will be glad to come back again!
The pillows were not comfortable enough for me. There are two of them for each guest and both are large and quite hard. But for one night it was ok

Room is big and very comfortable. Staff is very kind and helpful. I participated in one of their activities, going fishing on a boat and the fisherman was very helpful and nice.
Nothing at all.

Very friendly staff. Not to much asking for diving or smth. Breakfast was amazing, especially the banana pancakes! Very near to Jemeluk Beach with amazing coral gardens or to japanese ship wreck. The beach is calming and not overrun by tourists.
Aircondition in our room was the best on our trip. Must be a new one. Clean up for the room was very good. Free water refill. The toilet was very clean.
Some things could be improved. No fresh air exchange in the bathroom. After taking a shower or pooping, either you let the door tho beedroom open or it stayes in the bathroom and gets wet and stinky. The room is very small, for us to small for a longer stay. If people in the rooms next to us or above us flush or taking a sower its noisy. Many animals like spiders in the bathroom, mosquitos or ants. No mosquito net at the bed.

Good value for money. The furniture is new and the place is clean and nice. Rooms are also spacious. The common space where there is restaurant and a pool table is nice and lively.
The place is clearly very good for diving trips in Amed. You can tell them what you want to do and they take you the next day, it’s very efficient.
The breakfast is of acceptable quality with some variety, but the quality is not very high. For example, while they offer fresh juices they don’t taste too good, like they are adding water to them.
The place is really not to be considered a beach front location and you can’t see the sea from it.

Very modern and clean accommodation. Quiet and just a few minutes to good restaurants as well as the beach.
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
The food is nice, lots of options and high quality.
We did our dive course, Advanced Open Water Diver with Bali Reef Divers Amed here and the connection between dive course and resort was great.
We had a wonderful stay for a very fair price.

The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beach is within walking distance and some family-run restaurants. Hotel rooms are facing the inner yard with a swimming pool. The swimming is simple but clear. Breakfast was good, the one you would get in other similar hotels. They provide all services you would expect in this area, such as boat trips for snorkeling, diving lessons (which you will start with lessons in their swimming pool), and other services, and scooter rentals.
You should understand that Amed is a more rural type of town, for example, next to the hotel there are people living with chickens with roosters crowing :) There are family-run restaurants (warungs) around that you have to google to understand the quality and rankings. But that's not a complaint, more a context for you to consider.

Juni, Edi and the staff were friendly, helpful, great with our toddler and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean and modern, great showers and the pool was lovely. Good breakfast and nice restaurant/ bar area to socialise. Very well located and organised for a nice selection of Amed shore dives.
Amed is a stretch of town along one main road. Kura Kura is located at one end of this with sunset point and a few places I’d like to have tried about 20-30 mins walk away - which was a long distance with a little one. However there are a good selection of restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarket etc. all very near the resort too.
