Beach Access

I'm sorry to say that this was not a good experience. The property was unaware of my booking or and needed to 'find' a place. The room that I booked and paid for was already occupied. The was a constant noise from the water pump that was very high pitched and distracting.

Not worth the buck

Access to beach

The noise from the surrounding villa's guests, and mainly from the road nearby (we could have better checked in advance). Sewage smell in bathroom room, also another guest from villa next door told us the same. Cockroaches too.

Enjoyable stay. Would love to visit again one day

This accommodation felt very authentic Bali style and it is nestled amongst the trees with beach front access. Breakfast was nice and we could just walk to the well priced restaurant next door for any other meals.

The Beachfront Location is Excellent!!!

I loved my stay here very much. Gede and his staff are always very welcoming smiling and helpful. Each room has a fridge, a huge bathroom, a great bed and the cupboards and drawers are all made of lovely wood and smell nice. The verandah of the room is excellent too as there is a bed for relaxing and a table for eating and drinking all set amongst a beautiful garden. Breakfast was included - eggs, toast, fruit salad and coffee. The pool was refreshing and as it is located on the beach you can have a swim in the sea whenever you like. There is also a fantastic Warung located on the beach, run by a friendly family. I met two nice local drivers called Gus Man and Yum Yum!!

We love Amed & staying at Classic. We will be back

This is our third stay at Classic. We love Gede/ Stefano who always makes us feel so welcome. It is a great location on the beach so unlimited restaurants. The pool is great & you get a lovely breakfast.

A wonderful relaxing experience

Everything - the 3rd stay there - my favourite stay in Bali. Staff are lovely, breaky great, pool outstanding, beach bar simple but fun, absolute beach front and clear water out front. Multiple good restaurants so close on the beach . A stunning sunset location. Snorkel trip picked up out front arranged by staff was amazing.

Great location. Large clean rooms. Amazing pool area. Lovely poolside breakfast under the trees. Direct beach access and great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Cheap skooter rental.

Aesthetic in front of the pool not ideal. Looks like a construction site but informed that it is salt farming. Strange choice of location for this. Bit of an eyesore.

Charming

The bungalows and furnishings have a funky, fun, hippie quality The pool was as beautiful to look at/ out from as it was to swim in - looking onto the sea, shaded by flowering trees, warm and deep. In a few steps you can be floating in gentle swells. Plus it has all the basics - comfy bed, hot shower, reliable AC.

I found everything charming. Classic has a rustic character. No shining chrome or polished stone here.

Charming but dusty

The rustic ambience of recycled old timber Javanese houses. The lush little garden provided much needed shades. The swimming pool was a great feature to cool down when you didn't want to swim in the ocean. The room size was generous. Friendly hotel staff.

The room & bed were dusty. I got a skin rash on both calves. I'm allergic to the house dust. The lighting in the room and bathroom was inadequate.

Great location but needs a good clean.

Good sized room, beachfront location, centrally located to the main street and all amenities.

Other than one guy, the staff were quite disinterested. I found it difficult to organise anything as there wasn’t really anyone to speak to. Room was generally clean although the mosquito nets and fridge looked like they’d never been cleaned, and there was tobacco on one of the bedside tables.

While property was somewhat rustic we love Bali type accomodation. We had front room which was a brilliant position. Staff were very good.Can go snorkeling by boat from beach front.

Loved Amed !!!

My stay was just so relaxing....easy & stressfree. You have the ocean/ beach, volcano & mountains to look at each day - perfect cocktail of views!!!! Literally a 3 minute walk from the room to the beach for a morning dip- fabulous. Lot's of little warungs around & also some great spa's Location was good, the longer you're there, the more you discover.

Relaxing, in a great location, value for money with great staff.

This is the second time we have stayed at Classic Beach Villas. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms clean, great location and certainly value for money. We love the quirkiness of this small, (only 12 villas) place, with everything including the villas built out of repurposed materials. The large verandas with table and chairs and huge day bed is an added bonus.

Be prepared that if there are noisy guests you will hear them, as the villas are made of wood, so no soundproofing. I’d didn’t bother us, it’s just something you need to be aware of.

Great location , a low key place to stay.

Great location , very friendly staff and good simple breaky.

Lots of cats about. Some bathrooms were quite mouldy. Sleeping with a sheet without a blanket was a bit cold.

Simple place but nice location

The location was very good. The breakfast was nice and the pool as well. It’s very close to the beach. The location is good.

It wasn’t clear where to check in before we arrived at the property. Many sun beds were broken. There was also no shampoo provided. The stay had quite some mosquitos, a fly swatter provided seems necessary. The bedsheet was also too thin. The rooms are very noisy, we could hear the road with loud bikes, the people talking the whole evening in the room next to us, and singing from a nearby place.

I wanted to like it more than I did but we settled in and enjoyed it overall.

The pool was lovely with very easy access to the beach. We enjoyed the breakfasts sitting by the pool in the shade. Nice warungs on the beach next to the property. The garden was lush and shady and afforded privacy. Gorgeous views of Mt Agung at sunrise and sunset. It was an easy walk into Jemeluk where there were more trendy restaurants and cafes and music bars. Beach was clean and the water was so clear.

The bathrooms needed a bit of TLC and the rooms were very dark but the outside veranda with day bed was very welcome.

Little oasis by the sea

Love these little shacks by the sea. I always stay here when I’m in Amed. Central to a lot in town (within walking distance). 30 second walk to great warungs on the beach & magnificent views of Mt Agung for sunset. Friendly staff & super friendly resident cats. The laid back vibe of these shacks is perfect. Cold air con is great & bed comfortable.

Beautiful, relaxed stay, despite booking.com error and negligence in addressing it

Beautiful green premises, large bungalow with garden view and patio. Perfect location, next to the beach, my dive centre, my fave massage spa in Amed, good warungs, supermarkets. Friendly staff. Beautiful friendly cats. I loved my stay and extended twice! The management can easily organize trips and help with laundry, bikes, or else.

I have booked a Bungalow with garden view through booking.com, but upon arrival I was given a standard bungalow (considerably smaller). The management said this is the booking they had received from booking.com I showed them the price I paid and the photos of my booking and they moved me to the place I had booked, after the first night, because it was busy upon arrival. I appreciated their swift care in addressing this, although I was basically downgraded for the first night. I have addressed the case to Booking.com to find a solution for the first night which I had paid for a larger bungalow, but despite a first operator who understood the error, the second one dismissed my case stating that I was finally moved to the accommodation I had booked - true, but only on the second night of my stay. I should have been reimbursed the difference from booking.com. I did not expect booking.com to disregard such error, due (according to the hotel management) to booking.com's wrong communication of my booking. Very disappointing.

Very nice stay in nifty bungalows!

Bungalows were very sweet! Large rooms & big beds. Personnel was nice a very helpful. Pool wasn't huge but very nice. Beach access for several good spots to eat & tables for sunset drinks.

The sea salt harvesting area was kind of dirty and not picturesque.

Great location, Staff , Gardens, but Air Con not cooling room, & Dirty pool - we checked out :-(

Beds were comfy and mozzie net over bed is great, nice garden ambience and right on the beach

Air con not working well so room was horribly hot, not their fault, but crazy barking dogs much of the time, would not swim in the pool as very cloudy and clearly not as clean as it could or should be.
