Penthouse View & the cleanest room in Bali!

I do believe we had the best room in the house... call it the penthouse on the top floor, front! Spectacular view of Jemaluk Bay from our lovely balcony. Room was without doubt the cleanest we have experienced in a long time. Everything felt brand new. Price / value ratio was exceptional for the room we had, all of the rooms that we passed on our way up / down the stairs looked equally good (we just struck gold with our view!). Best snorkelling in Amed straight out the front. On-site restaurant similar to others in Jemaluk. Personally we enjoyed going up to Joli View or around the point to Warung Bobo in the evenings.

Lovely stay at Jemaluk Bay.

Great little budget friendly hotel. Love the proximity to the snorkelling in jemaluk bay. Staff are exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The accommodation is ideal for close proximity to good snorkelling and close to shops and restaurant

The restaurant that is across the road from the accommodation is right on the beach which is nice. The wooden structure of the restaurant needs maintenance and painting and lacks charm so I ate elsewhere for meals.

I had to explain when I arrived that having hot water, tea, coffee and creamer is expected in the rooms. This was supplied after some running around on their part. The room couldn't be secured and didn't have a safe. If the windows were left open, anyone could climb through. The room is nice and big but not very nicely laid out. There was no desk and chair if you wanted to use your laptop. The room is noisy during the day as it is right above the road but ok during the night. The view from the balcony to see the sunrise was good.

I loved the helpful staff, whatever I needed they were able to assist me. The rooms were super spacious and clean. Great location. A very comfortable month I spent there :)

Correct stay in Amed

The location in Amed is nice, close to everything. The bathroom was spacious

The floor of the room wasn’t clean. Would be great to use vaccum under and next to the beds. The room was so noisy because of the road and very luminous in the morning (would be better to have proper curtains). As it was a ceremony day, it was impossible to get breakfast before 9am but if you plan to do diving in the early morning you’ll have to skip the breakfast

Great location by the beach, lots of cafés and restaurants around. Lovely staff. Great value for money. Lots of activities organized by the hotel and a very cheap restaurant on site.

Connecting to the wifi was problematic at times. Sound proofing was inadequate.

Relaxing Stay

Loved the location & staff.

They book out the cafe to Dive companies not staying at hotel. The first day we could not get a table to eat lunch. We learnt quickly to grab a day bed if you want t o relax here. Other wise daytrippers take over. You have to ask for clean towels. Photo of waterview on booking dot com is not true to the accommodation we booked. No view unless staying upstairs.

Near the sea, clean and comfortable room.

My room was overbooked even though I had a confirmation email from booking.com, the swimming pool was a bit murky and the restaurant beach area is in need of a bit of love and care.

Superb

Very friendly and helpful staff. Right at the beach. Good to catch the sunrise. Organising snorkeling trips. They even provide a GoPro for your snorkeling. Breakfast is very good, from continental to local.

The snorkeling trip just provides the lift to three spots without giving safety instructions before. If it's your first time snorkeling, maybe you want to look for a guide to to learn the rules concerning the sensitive flora and fauna. For the spots themselves, you need luck with the weather as the sea can be rough. Otherwise, a beautiful experience.

Staff were incredible and looked after our every need. Room was so spacious and clean. Great location with snorkelling right off the beach and lots of tasty restaurants around. We booked a snorkelling tour through the property that was great and they also helped us arrange our boat to Gili

Really great

I had such an AMAZING stay at divers cafe. I requested a more private room so that I would not disturb other guests while I was teaching in the evenings and the accomodation they provided exceeded my expectations. Absolutely beautiful ocean view. The room was big and clean! The place is right on the beachfront so you can literally roll our of bed, have a coffee at the café and go into the water. So perfect. There is also a little shop right opposite! The staff were really helpful, they arranged a snorkelling tour, showed me where to get laundry done and how to top up my data. Having the cafe downstairs was so convenient. The food was always delicious and I felt really comfortable. They make you feel welcome and at ease. Huge thanks to Katut and Komang! I will miss this place.

It’s not all about Location…

Divers Café is indeed located quite nicely at the Beach and generally has the potential to be a good Hotel. Nice side view on sea (when room is on top floor) and the restaurant is nicely located next to the beach with good food (you have to pay immediately though and cash only).

On my last day the staff was nice and even said good morning using my name - the days before our short conversations unfortunately always revolved around the questions if I had payed already and if I would like to book a tour or rent snorkeling equipment … Rarely wifi connection in my room No room cleaning (!) Bad acoustic islolation - if you have trouble sleeping… Deviating from description: no balcony furniture, sofa bed or water boiler in my room, one pool only (which needs a renovation…) - it says 3 in the description

Would go back!

Great location, great rooms with lots of space, great restaurant with low prices compared to the other restaurants nearby and the food is tasty. Highly recommend a fishing trip with Ketut - much cheaper than other companies and a great experience on a traditional boat. Plus the chef will cook up your catch for lunch or dinner. Would come back for sure.

Loved the place but your staff should have some sort of hospitality training.

Location is great! Right by the beach for snorkeling. Bars and restaurants are 5 min drive from the hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Ocean view is amazing.

The staff (the main person at the checkout) was very rude. When I asked to pay for the breakfast with my card he asked me to prepare cash, and when I told that I don’t have cash he rolled his eyes and said something (probably unpleasant) in Indonesian. Our friend ordered Chicken nuggets and French fries at the cafe and the same man brought a plate with 5 tiny nuggets (size of the coin) and 15 pieces of FF (we counted because it looked ridiculous). I ordered fish at the same cafe and waited for my order more than 1 hour! The same staff served all local people first (even who came after us) and only after - us.

Amed is a really pleasant laid back village. We enjoyed watching fishermen bringing mackerel in their nets in the morning and eating it freshly grilled at lunch time. Snorkelling was quite good too.

People (including staff at divers cafe) are very pushy, always wanting to sell you something or a service. It gets annoying.

Hole bathroom with shower, toilet and so on looked bad. Found loads of hair from person before, shower looked disgusting. WiFi is pretty bad and breaks down several times per hour

Staff is superficially friendly and does not go the extra mile to help out. Deals are not offered although competition is performing better... Apparently this was better before Pandemic but now it is said there is a new owner?

The beach in front of the accommodation is very nice to do snorkeling.

The bathroom was dirty and the bed doesn't have sheets. Although the hot water doesn't work in some rooms but the staff don't say anything before. The breakfast is just ok.

staff were very friendly and very accommodating. they felt like friends by the end of it. rooms were also such a great size. heaps of space and very very clean. huge bathrooms too.

everything was great. but would have liked another blanket on the beds and more pillows. other than that, all great :) 👍🏼👍🏼
