Book it to experience the beachfront location alone

You can’t get closer to the beach than this. Simple but clean accommodation, but you are staying here to wake up on the beach. Walking distance to everything in Amed beach. Putri an awesome host with excellent English and prompt communication at check in/checkout

Roosters nearby may wake you up if you are a light sleeper but didn’t bother me as I am early riser

Beautiful convenient location, good bed, all you need in the room.

Great location. Putu was very welcoming and great host. Comfy bed, good mozzie net, mozzie plug in, shower needs fixing but does work and hot water is a bonus.

Part of town is village feel, fair bit of scooter traffic in front of the property from 4.30am. It didn’t bother us too much. The rooster alerts to the village waking up, again from early morning he gets a little annoying lol but adds to the atmosphere.

Nice room right on the beach and close to restaurants

Perfect position on the beach, nice terrace was a decent size overlooking the beach and the small fishing boats.. The room was a good size with a nice comfy bed and good air-conditioning, the bathroom was half open to the air above the shower, the shower was nice and hot.. parking space outside for your scooter if you have one... Plenty of restaurants nearby and also near the supermarket.

It was a little difficult to find.. if you go and ask in another hotel for directions (which I did) they will push you to stay there instead. So for reference, Google maps actually takes you to the turn off to the accommodation.. there is a dry river bed with a path either side take the right hand side and follow the path around to the beach the property is down there.

Sleeping with the sound of waves

The location is just perfect, I never slept so close to the ocean, you’ll fall asleep with the sound of waves. The owner is also exceptional, he offered to pick me up in Ubud and also take me to Candidasa and bought a ticket to Nusa Penida for me: an angel ❤️

Comfortable stay with own terrace right on the beach.

Having my own terrace right on the beach made it memorable. After staying in some pretty basic accomodation, the comfort and facilities provided, such as fridge and aircon, felt like luxury. Putu doesn’t live on site but was readily available through WhatsApp and spoke excellent English. He is wanting to make your stay a good one. The shower was hot. I didn’t have issues re mozzies but a net and powered insect dispenser was appreciated.

It would be good if water in a large bottle was available for free use by the two units to stop the accumulation of plastic bottles.

Slice of heaven

It is a slice of heaven. There is nothing between you and the water except fishing boats and sand. Location is in the centre of town with numerous restaurants everywhere. Spotless accommodation, very comfortable bed and great water pressure. You have a padlock and chain which makes it feel very secure when you leave. If you hire a scooter you can park it right out front of the property.

Great location right on the beach and easy access to great bars, Warung’s, cafes. Scooter hire around the corner. Diving and fishing close by. Good central point to access other attractions in Amed. Putu is an excellent host and offers transfers to his guests.

Amazing location and view! Great value for money!

The location of this place is amazing - a few steps away from the beach, beautiful view from the room, loved opening the curtains in the morning and seeing the water and boats! The room was clean and spacious and I enjoyed the chairs and table on the patio. It is a local area which I really liked, various restaurants and shops in the area. I really enjoyed my stay and the place is amazing value for money!

The room needs better lighting, there was only a lamp. I did not realise the bathroom had an open ceiling, and there were insects both in the bathroom and bedroom. Bring earplugs with you, it gets noisy! But overall it was a lovely experience and I would recommend staying here!

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY YOUR STAY IN AMED!

Beach front location, close to shops

-Room not nice as seen in the photos -Walls cracked, paint chipping -desks were broken -toilet not cleaned -sink not cleaned -mould in bathroom -no hand soap given -bin too small -not enough toilet paper given, owner replaced with 1/2 roll of used wet toilet paper -shower is open roof, bathroom not secure, bathroom lock broken -room not secure, front door lock broken, expecting to be secured through chain and padlock -cupboard locks broken -floor dirty -bedsheets and mosquito net stained -only 1 sheet given, no blanket -insufficient lighting inside and outside room -big glass window, locals and tourists walk past and stare in on you -power sockets broken - have to choose between lighting and charging phone near bed -safety huge concern, pitch black outside and only accessed via dark back alley to beach, only 2 rooms at this property. -facilities listed are a lie and not true -roosters crow all night long, waking you up, children and motorbikes also loud outside -Putu, the host, may seem like a nice guy, but he is a total creep. He thinks it is okay to rock up at the property and enter any time he pleases, rocking up unannounced at 8:45pm one night while I was in the shower and waiting out the front for me to open the door for him to give me more toilet paper. Property isolated and pitch black outside, already scared for my safety. I did not want to open the door. Putu also thinks it is okay to enter the property without telling you, I caught him entering the room one day without telling me and he seemed to think this was okay. I left early before the last night because of how disgusting the property was and how creepy Putu was, and I was much happier after I left. Putu is creepy towards solo female travellers. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Couldn’t get closer to the sea if you tried, so relaxing listening to the waves. Bed has mosquito net which was really helpful. Has a fridge aswell as kettle and tea/coffee. Location is great close to everything lots of warung in walking distance. Putu helped us to rent a scooter which was really good quality also and he recommended some places for us to go. Putu also drove us to our next location for a great price. Couldn’t of been more helpful Thankyou!

Nice but won’t come back

The owner is so nice, lovely man, so helpful. Good location, nice view.

I read in the other comment that there was noise from the dogs and roosters at night and I thought that was ok. Big mistake. The roosters are shouting from 2.30am to 6am right in front of your door along with dogs small fights 1 metre from your door. I couldn’t sleep. Too expensive, you can find cheaper for the same room a few metres away.

Loved Amed, a really nice vibe.

The house has everything you need including fridge, water dispenser and a knife and chopping board! The bed was soooo comfy. The host Putu was lovely, very interesting to talk to and learn about local customs and the area. The snorkelling and diving were brilliant!

+directly on a beach +good reliable AC +fridge, plates, basic cutlery, cups +water dispenser with drinking water +close to grocery store and food options +the owner Putu is very kind and nice person +Amed is nice calm location The room is good choice if you plan to do some snorkeling/diving in the area. I wouldn't recommend this location for "beach holiday". There's too much garbage on the beach and it's actually full of fishermen's ships

-the doors were little bit tricky to lock -no hot water during my stay (May 2023) -almost none noise isolation inside of the room. The roosters were regularly yelling shortly after midnight and in the morning around 4am -sometimes it took a few minutes to connect to the wifi -some outside shower would be nice to rinse your feet from the sand

I love that it is in the middle of the town, the room have WiFi, really good hot water and water pressure. The most special thing is that, I feel like I am staying at my own private beach bungalow. the place is literally on the beach, sand and the ocean is just right outside of your door.

Could have add more lighting and signage. it was a little difficult to find the place at night.

Amazing homestay villa in front of the sea

Villa has everything is needed for comfortable stay and living surrounded by locals. Accommodation is right on the shore where you can see fishermen leave and come back from the sea, kids play, dogs and chickens walk around. Perfect place to see a real life. Villa is clean, has comfortable bed, hot water, fridge, Internet (even though not strong enough for video calls, but I was able to work and use it for personal purpose with no issue), air-conditioning and filtered water is available. It is located just few steps away from the main street where you can find shops, restaurants, grocery store, diving centers, tourists' information stands etc. Last but not least, Putu is a great person and host. He can take you to a day tours, drive from A to B or help to organise other activities. He made my life easier when came to pick me up from Bedugul to Amed.

The location, straight at the beach! Jumping in the sea when you wake up, watch the "world" pass by from your veranda: locals, chickens, dogs. The People around are very friendly, the snorkeling is great if you walk to warung Bo Bo at the right, you can snorkle from there all the way to Jemeluk. You see really nice and many different kind of fish.

The bathroom can do with a little renovation but didn't bother us to much for the 4 nights we stayed.
