Solaluna Beach Homestay

Our stay at Solaluna home stay was excellent. The staff were so amazing and attentive and the facilities were above standard. It feels very homely and safe. Plus our room was beautiful. Thank you so much and can not recommend enough.

The Homestay was very clean and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. They were very attentive. The breakfast was also really yummy, especially the pancake option. I can only recommend to stay here.

Solaluna sets a very high standard. The rooms are huge and extremely thoughtfully designed, with plenty of storage cupboards (important when you're travelling and laundry starts piling up), an outdoor drying rack, sockets in useful places (including by the comfortable seating on the large, covered balcony), space in the bathroom to keep toiletries, and a cozy bed. Although the property isn't affiliated with scuba diving, it's well set up for divers because of the big rooms and balconies (space to dry stuff), willingness to prepare breakfast for an early start on request the day before, and a small unloading area at the front of the attached cafe for easy pick up/drop off. Staying here kind of ruined all other hotels in Bali for me because none of them were as comfortable as this one. Beyond the room, the property is very quiet - there is currently construction next door but it's during daytime only and at one point when the staff thought I might want to have an afternoon rest they offered to ask them to pause construction for me! The staff are really helpful. Oh, and there's a clean pool with deck chairs surrounded by some well-tended plants. I really loved my five nights at Solaluna, and in Amed generally, and wish I had booked longer.

While I appreciate that breakfast was included - and that there were a few different breakfast options that always came with a delicious juice - the food could be better. Properly toasting the bread and providing room temperature butter will go a long way!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Solaluna Homestay in Amed, Bali, and we can't recommend it highly enough! Owned by a wonderful local family, the warmth and hospitality of the staff truly made our stay special. Every day, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a heartfelt desire to ensure we had a fantastic experience. A special shoutout to Komang, Annie, Arta, and Bayu, your dedication and kindness did not go unnoticed! The owners are equally lovely, making us feel right at home. We stayed in an upstairs room equipped with a spacious balcony that offered breathtaking views. The room was new, impeccably clean, and spacious, perfect for relaxation. We were impressed to see that the homestay is continually improving, with new rooms being built. Each morning, we were treated to fabulous breakfasts in their charming restaurant, serving delicious food that fueled our adventures. The location is ideal for exploring Amed, and even though the wet season isn't perfect for snorkeling, renting a scooter allowed us to discover the stunning sights of Bali. If you're looking for a welcoming, family-run homestay with excellent amenities and a perfect base for exploring the area, Solaluna Homestay is the place to be!

Lovely staff, great restaurant and bungalow. Very comfortable accommodation. Loved the pool area.

The beach area was littered with garbage unfortunately but that is not the fault of the resort owners, just something to be aware of when choosing Amed.

Position good, directly on the beach, lovely pool. Great food and service. Room newly renovated with big daybed on the patio. Would stay again.

We love everything, from the amazing staff to the cleaning of the room. The facilities, the food, the swimming pool, the renting of motorbike, the activities. This is our best stay in Bali. We are very happy to discover this wonderful place. Professionalism of the staff and kindness is the best. Very comfortable and the room is a pearl of luxury. Location is very good 😊 Suksma !!!! We will be back soon I hope.

This is my second time staying at Sola Luna. We love the family room to the left of the pool. The room is clean, spacious and has great air conditioning. It’s only about 20 metres to the beach. The pool is refreshing- such a nice place to relax. Breakfasts are great and they even accommodated my son who is gluten free. I think what stands out at Sola Luna are the staff. They are so friendly and will do anything they can to make your stay special. We look forward to our next stay.
