I paid far more than my neighbours for the same room type, I was assured a sea view, got a brick wall, too many animals especially in the commercial kitchen, very unhygienic, found certain staff very rude

Perfect!

Nice and comfortable room right on the beach. It's a shame that I only stayed for one night. Owners very nice. The restaurant right on the beach was amazing and had a great atmosphere. The food was one of the best I ate in Bali. I will definitely stay here again next time!!

Nice owners but a disappointing stay

the room itself (room 2) was spacious and it was clean on arrival. there are powerpoints next to each side of the bed. there is a wardrobe and dresser for clothing. the fan and the air con worked fine. breakfast had the usual options (nasi goreng, mie goreng, banana pancake etc) plus a coffee/tea or juice (not both). the staff were friendly and always had a smile and said hello =) the property is right on the beachfront. the restaurant served fresh fish everyday for 40K (just don't look in the kitchen - it is very unclean!).

I really wanted to rate this property highly as it is owned by a lovely Balinese family, however it was not great value for money. the bed was uncomfortable on one side (I guess its the side that everyone sleeps on?) and the springs stuck up through the mattress making it difficult to sleep. the wifi was terrible both in the room and outside on the terrace (we had much better wifi at the neighbouring property once we moved on). we stayed for five days but they only cleaned the room once (on day three). there is no rubbish bin in the room at all! our toilet kept running non-stop for days but we just closed the door to stop the noise. the shower didn't have anywhere to hang the nozzle as the holder on the wall was broken, so we just held it when we showered. there is the usual Bali mould on the walls and in the corners, which is present at every property and isn't a big deal for us. unfortunately I got sick from the breakfast (vegetable omelette) and couldn't be away from a bathroom for two days, plus I had terrible stomach cramps. the mie goreng was safe to eat and we didn't get sick from that. the worst part about the property was when you stepped outside the room. there were soooo many cats, kittens, dogs, chickens and baby chickens everywhere outside. there were all in bad health (infected sores, parasite worms, fur missing etc) and they were very hungry - the cats would always try to jump up on you during breakfast to get your food. the chickens would stand at your feet and try to jump at your forkful of food! it would have been funny if it wasn't so sad too. the laneway from the rooms to the front of the property always had cat vomit or chicken poop to walk around. I also saw (live!) cats and chickens hanging out in the kitchen - it was unhygienic, even by Bali standards! there is no fridge, kettle or water provided in the room, but that is fair for this price point. it was a relief to leave here =(

we were in the dorms and it wasn’t clean (sheets and bathroom - the staff was helping and changed the sheets immediately upon request) dorms really need to be refreshed: no hot water in the shower, the door isn’t closing…

A very nice and kind family. The breakfast has a very good choice and tasted very good. The restaurant is located in beach front. My room was on the first floor with a big terrace and a beautiful seaview. You could hear the waves in your room. Very relaxing 😊

At the moment, Internet is very slow as they share it due to the need of saving money due to the Pandemic. This will change when business picks up again. It is enough for messages but not if you want do some work.

Remarkable, Refresh, Return

Operate by a Balinese family with nice and warm services, no fine dining here but zero-pollution long coast, just1 min away from the homestay. A peaceful and quiet backyard in eastern Bali, not much night live but a couple of country bar in main street, no noise music but sound of sea wave. Supreme location for snokeing and scuba diving. *Air conditioner working properly!

- the room is super nice / bed comfy / hot shower - in front of the beach ! Breakfast really good - the view on the roof for the sunset is excellent - the restaurant on the beach is just so good with really good price for Amed ! - wifi is okey I came in this homestay with my family 2 years ago and came back with my gf this year : still the same owner / the same nice staff / the really good food etc..

- there was a “generator” almost in front of our door (double room, ground floor right) which goes on and off really randomly : not so great..

Keine Unterkunft bei Tierquälern buchen!

Die Lage war am Strand. Das Restaurant direkt am Strand war sehr gut. Das Personal war recht freundlich. Nach der Beschwerde über mein zugeteiltes Zimmer bekam ich sofort ein wesentlich besseres.

Das zuerst zugeteilte Zimmer war eigentlich nicht bewohnbar: Die Klimaanlage hat permanent eine Srühnebel verbreitet, auch auf's Bett und das Bad war einfach nur dreckig. Beim 2. Zimmer war die Matratze durchgelesen. Der Eigentümer hält auf dem Gelände der Unterkunft Kampfhähne und man darf zusehen, wie sie sich zum Training oder zur Auswahl blutig hacken. Diese Tierquälerei ist völlig inakzeptabel und führt zu einer schlechten Gesamtbewertung!

Las habitaciones son grandes y espaciosas. La cama cómoda y el aire funciona bien. El desayuno está bien, no fruta.

Varias cosas: 1) La ubicación no es la más cómoda porque la entrada es por la playa, y un camino de tierra.. si llueve terminas embarrado. 2) Justamente por la ubicación siempre terminas entrando a la habitación con los pies con arena o barro, y no hacen limpieza ni un solo día de tu estadía. Nos alojamos 4 noches. 3) Es un Warung frente a la playa, para acceder a la habitación debes cruzar el pasillo de su casa que conecta con las instalaciones de ellos. Podrían mejorarlo de cara a los clientes. Huele mal. Se ven los pescados en un balde con agua tirados desde la mañana hasta la noche que cocinan en su bar. Al lado de las habitaciones tienen un espacio donde matan las gallinas (o eso creemos por ruidos que escuchamos) y hay terrible olor. Comimos la primera noche, antes de ver eso, y unas horas después estuvimos un poco descompuestos. 4) Nunca hay nadie. Para el desayuno tenés que buscar, golpear las puertas de su casa para que alguien te atienda. 5) Llegamos a las 5pm y la habitación no estaba limpia. Tuvimos que esperar. Éramos los únicos hospedados, y se notaba que era así desde hace bastante. Sin embargo, siendo sinceros, la habitación es cómoda, pero eso no quita todo lo demás siendo que no es de los hoteles más baratos.
