Nice place, would stay again

Room is nice enough, comfortable bed, hot shower, clean bathroom. Location is great, it's close to everything but set back from the road so not so noisy, the staff were perfectly nice. If you're used to staying in budget accommodation in SE Asia this is of a pretty good standard. We were only in Amed one night on this occasion, but I would have happily stayed here longer and have few negative things to say.

Difficult to lock the door at times, key would stick. Please note - there are gaps in the walls for airflow and therefore bugs/critters might be paying you a visit. This doesn't bother me, I have the occasional friend in my own home. If you are someone who would like to minimise tropical friends visiting you, book a more upmarket hotel with aircon perhaps.

A great stay in the dorms at Bali Sari Homestay — peaceful, clean, lovely hosts, and perfect location. Incredible value

I stayed in the dorms at Bali Sari Homestay and had a truly lovely experience. The place is peaceful and clean, with a calm, relaxed vibe that’s perfect if you’re looking to rest and recharge. The dorm was comfortable, well maintained, and quiet at night. The family who runs the homestay is incredibly kind and helpful — they made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the beach and restaurants, but still tucked away enough to feel serene. For the price, it’s an amazing deal. I would absolutely stay here again!

Nasty hosts, nasty smell, nasty bloodstains, tried to make me check out before time. RUDE and NASTY

It's away from the street and not noisy. Wifi and AC worked. Thats the only positive I can say.

One of the worst hosts I have ever encountered. Rude despite me being friendly with them. Homestay is hard to find, and access is sketchy and kinda gross. Smells terrible at entrance. Smells terrible in the room too. Terrible attitude from the hosts and staff. Gruff and rude, not hospitable. Blood stains on the bedsheets at checkin. Terrible mildew smell in the room and bathroom. Lamp doesn't work, asked them to replace the bulb, they say the cord is broken; offered no solution. Check Out is stated as 12:00pm on Booking.com. Yet I had someone knocking on my door at 11:15 asking why I havent checked out yet. "Check out normally 11:30." Okay, no one told me. And why are you harassing me at 11:15 then? Overall, it's a cheap place and I expect it to not be luxurious, but damn. I didn't expect it to be this bad. Other local places are far better for the same price. I asked if they care for feedback, they said "what are you talking about." They don't care. I told them anyway. They gave me more bad attitude. Stay elsewhere. You can get friendly people and nicer accommodation for less money. Even paying more to avoid bad attitude and terrible smells is worth it. Gede was rude. I made suggestions for improvement. He yelled at me on WhatsApp. AVOID!

Our room was completely mouldy, we had to leave early due to the poor cleanliness at this place.

We were greeted by a staff member on the street. She didn’t ask for any of our details, not even our names, and lead us to a room out the back and left. One step in, we stepped against a wall of mouldy smell and the bathroom was the worst. After we ended up staying for a night because it was too late to go somewhere else, we both got sick from the mould. We left early instead of completing our 3 nights there. We’re writing this 2 days after we left and we still have coughs and feel very congested. This place needs some serious renovation. Aside from this, the internet drops out frequently and is extremely slow. Making it hard to make some simple google searches.

I would come again!

Very nice, clean, simple room with a little kitchen, and free water. Staff was super kind and always trying to help, if we had a problem. Simple breakfast on the beach is included. Thank you !

It can be a little bit noisy at some days, but after midnight very quiet. There is lot of pigs around this area, so it also can be a bit smelly sometimes. BUT for this price, it was totally fine for us and it is not they fault.

Quiet place and decent room, located in the main street in Amed close to the beach and many warungs.

Breakfast is served outside the property (at the beach). The was no one at the reception so we had to contact the property via WhatsApp.

Pleasant

Location is good.

When we arrived no one was there to meet us so you better have a local sim card and call them. The bed didn't look/smell fresh. Ants in the room. It Was a big bug in the bathroom. No soap or shampoo. But the most disappointing is next door bar was playing music till late so we couldn't sleep and they started playing music again early in the morning and woke us up at 8:00. Breakfast was poor but on the beach.

Basic accommodation for cheap price

Basic accommodation at this price point. Clean sheets and fresh towels. Closet and a counter where you can unpack your things. Good location with lots of restaurants and dive shops nearby. Basic breakfast with omelette/eggs, toasts, coffee and fruits served at the restaurant on the beach which was nice.

Air con was really loud so it was impossible to sleep having it on. The place overall was not very cozy as the room was facing a concrete wall. Bathroom was very humid and the door did not close properly.

Stunning rooms, great location and friendly staff - what a lovely spot in Amed.

I was blown away by how lovely this guesthouse was, and in a great location too! The room was one of my favourites so far - the bed was large, clean and comfy, it was furnished with a great eye for detail and the bathroom was nice and clean. What's more, the shower even had hot water - a rare treat in the area! The breakfast is served in a pretty warung on the beachfront - a lovely setting to start your day. The guy who ran the homestay was really lovely and helped us out with anything we needed. Also, Amed's lovely beaches are just a stone's throw away. 10/10 for everything - would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Amed.

Personnel complètement absent. Odeur nauséabonde dû à la porcherie qu’il y a à côté. Propreté à revoir. Passable pour une nuit mais contente de pas y être resté plus longtemps.

Veldig fine og romslige rom, i 2.etg var balkongen stor og behagelig og. Beliggenheten er ganske ålreit og det føltes ikke ut som ett Homestay da vi omtrent aldri så noen andre enn de andre beboerne. Jeg kan helt fint bo her igjen 🌸

For ett potensiale denne plassen egentlig har. Fine rom og veldig koselig tomt, tross liten 😊 Tomt for såpe, dopapir og sånt, tidvis kloakklukt på badet og generelt litt skittent og mugg å finne. Men vi likte rommet godt og er ganske fornøyde med oppholdet

Pas plus d'une nuit.

Prix très compétitifs.

Personnel pas très sympathique (c'est très rare à Bali), qui nous demande de payer une seconde fois et qui se trompe de chambre. Escalier très étroit et difficile pour les valises. Ensuite, plus personne pour s'occuper de vous (hôtel fantôme). Chambre plutôt sale. Cuisine très sale et avec quasiment pas de vaisselle ou d'ustensiles. Odeur des cochons et grognements, car un porcherie derrière le mur de l'hôtel. Cri des poules le matin qui vous réveillent à 4h du matin. Plage avec beaucoup de micro-méduses qui vous dissuadent de vous baigner, vous ne resterez pas plus de quelques minutes.

L’emplacement à 5 minutes de la plage et la chambre était propre. Nous avions demandé à arrivé vers 13h et une de nos chambres était prête.

L’accueil était poli, mais pas très chaleureux. Le propriétaire a dit ne plus avoir de lit supplémentaire, alors qu’il y en avait un qui traînait dans le hall. Tous les autres hébergements ont accepté avec gentillesse. Les sanitaires mériteraient d’être refaits.

Gran estancia calidad-precio

Es una estancia con una gran calidad-precio. La ubicación si te mueves con moto está bien. La cama es muy cómoda y el baño está bien. Amed es una visita obligatoria en tu viaje a Bali y estuve muy cómodo en este lugar.

Al llegar no había nadie para hacer el check in. Tuvimos que escribir a un número de whatsapp para que viniese alguien que tampoco nos explicó nada. No es un problema grande pero si que se agradece que te reciban y te den alguna indicación.

Von außen hui - von innen pfui

Wir waren zum glück nur eine Nacht da. Die riesige Fensterfront des Zimmers ist schön sowie auch die Sitzgelegenheiten auf dem Balkon. Der Look von Zimmer war toll.

Als wir ankamen war niemand da. Ganz klein an der Ecke haben wir dann ein Zettel mit einer Nummer gefunden, die wir angerufen haben. Der Gastgeber hat uns dann nicht gerade begeistert in unser Zimmer geführt. Auf den ersten Blick sah alles toll aus. Näher betrachtet war's dann aber echt nicht nice und zum Glück waren wir dort nur eine Nacht: Der Bettbezug war übersät mit Haaren und alten Blutflecken. Es sah fast so aus als hätte der Gastgeber die Laken für die eine Nacht nicht getauscht. Das Bad hat unangenehm gerochen und wäre ein Paradies für Kakerlaken gewesen. Die badtür hat über den Boden geschliffen. Ganz nach dem Motto: von außen hui von innen pfui.. Wir sind seit 6 Monaten Low Budget reisen und das war eine der schlechtesten Unterkünfte.

Il personale non sempre è presente quindi se hai bisogno di qualcosa non sai a chi chiedere. Ho trovato degli scarafaggi. In generale la sensazione è stata quella di un posto non curato, dalle foto mi aspettavo qualcos'altro

Die Toilette riecht meiner Meinung merkwürdig und der Besitzer ist nur manchmal da, heisst Rezeption nur manchmal. Der Zugang per Roller ist sehr eng. Es ist jedoch sehr günstig und man hat einen eigenen Balkon. Das Bett ist auch ok, jedoch kann man entweder sein Handy laden oder ein Licht anmachen.
