Sawitri Homestay

I stayed at Sawitri Homestay for one night before catching the morning fast boat to Gili, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for what I needed. My flight into Denpasar was delayed, so I didn’t arrive until around 3am. The hosts communicated with me throughout and made my late check-in incredibly easy. They left a breakfast form for me to complete, and when I woke up the next morning I was treated to fresh fruit and coffee, with plenty of other breakfast options available. The value for money is exceptional, and the location is ideal—less than a five-minute walk from Padang Bai Pier, making it perfect if you’re catching an early boat. I didn’t meet any of the staff until the morning, but they were all warm, welcoming, and friendly.

This isn’t a luxury hotel, but it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s clean, comfortable, affordable, and exactly what you need for an overnight stay before travelling onwards. I would happily stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone catching the ferry to the Gili Islands.

Good location for getting boat to Gillis or Lombok, they can help you book boat tickets also. Clean basic room with good aircon, coffee and tea in room, walk easy to jetty for boat. Friendly helpful owner.
