Not really an issue for us but objective info; they have only one old, small and slow elevator for five floors and 60+ rooms (elevator doesn’t reach 5th floor).

Modern, clean, perfectly located hotel with great breakfast and professional service

Very fast and efficient but friendly check-in, straight to the point (give keys, breakfast schedule, and where is the room). The room is modern, clean, and well equipped with plenty of sockets and USB ports everywhere. Comfy beds, spacious modern bathroom with good shower. Breakfast was excellent, looks small but is in fact a generous buffet with fresh breads, croissants, regional cheeses and cold cuts, warm options like eggs, rösti, beans, pancakes, and different exotic juices. Everything fresh, well presented, and constantly refilled.

I know it’s a bit picky, but except for the well-equipped desk, a small table between the couch and the other seat would have been welcome. There was only a small metal stand for glasses, probably because the couch can be converted into a bed and space needs to stay clear. Some noise during weekend nights and early mornings, but that’s expected in such a central, lively area.

Good, clean, and standard hotel

The location is very close to the train station so its easy to get settled and head out. Its also just a block away from the main street of downtown which makes it convenient. The room was very clean and breakfast was also nice.

Four star room in a three star hotel

Nice big room, modern with an excellent shower. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

There’s no proper bar, restaurant or lounge - things I would expect at a four star hotel. Breakfast was poor. The hot offering was just some tired-looking scrambled eggs and beans - everything else had run out both mornings and not replaced. Similarly by the time we came down - around 9:00am - lots of things like pastries, nice bread had run out.

Excellent location when travelling with public transport. Restaurants available across the Street.

Best location to the Main Station Bern HB. Restaurants for dinner were available accross the street. Room was ready when I arrived and I was provided an upgrade. Unfortunately I didn't have time for a Buffet Breakfast which looked good.

Location is great!

The location was excellent, very close to the train station and walking distance to everything. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We only stayed for 1 night but the hotel was clean, spacious and they accommodated our request for adjoining rooms.

Great location and accommodations

We really liked the rooftop patio and the location. The front desk staff was very helpful. The place was clean and safe. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable.

It said 2 bathrooms, there were 2 bathrooms but only 1 bathroom with a shower. Otherwise very lovely and would book again.

Location is excellent. Staff is always nice, polite and helpful. Room is decent enough. We booked 2 rooms for a family of 4, they gave us the connecting rooms which is very convenient. The young lady at Front Desk gave us a dinner discount voucher from a nearby restaurant when I asked for restaurants’ reference which turned out quite nice. Thank you.

Need improvement in the air condition

Location and size of room were ok..the problem was the a/c, we stayed 6 nights in the hotel with a fan they provided me. Air condition did not work properly during our 6 nights in the hotel. We reported the malfunction of the air condition but the electrician and general.manager informed us that the air condition was working. This was not true.

Very friendly staff. Location was excellent.

There is only 1 very small elevator with a push door that is slow. Bathroom amenities are lacking. Only shampoo and no body wash or hair conditioner. Bathroom soap are super small bars. Limited place in the room to lay anything down. Only a desk.

This is my second time staying at Hotel Savoy and I will not stay anywhere else in Bern! This hotel is the absolute best place to stay in Bern. It is clean, comfortable, and the location is amazing for people who will be using the train to travel throughout Switzerland.
