Excellent location; wlaking distance from train station and most attractions. Welcoming and profesional staff. Good breakfast buffet included which is great to have a good meal before heading out to explore the city. Modern and clean rooms. Good beds. I would stay here again.

Very bad experience.

The location is terrific. All the best very bad!

We had room 50 to be accessed by 2 lifts + 2 sets of stairs, one of them steep and winding. We were not offered help with our luggage until we insisted. The air-conditioning stopped working during both nights and we had to sleep with an open window which brought in the street noise. The breakfast had an extremely poor selection, definitely unsuitable for an expensive hotel: Botton line: We do not recommend this hotel!

It is a good variant to visit Bern, for a short or a long stay. Very good position, good facilities, nice personal, good breakfast, perfect cleanliness. So, in a nut shell formulation: a good value for the price!...

Nothing important to mention here. Everything was good and nice. Big thanks and hugs to the staff. I think I would come back in this hotel, any single occasion I will have.

We will be back!

Just a few minutes walk from train station. As we arrived hours before check-in and room was not yet ready, we were able to use large lockers to drop off our luggage behind the reception area. Staff was very attentive. Room was clean; bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and had options for all types of dietary restrictions. Air conditioning was great during the heatwave we stayed in Berne.

There is an (instant) coffee and tea station. A cup of real cup of coffee during the day would have been nice. Don’t expect a nice view from roof terrace.

Ideal location for our short stay.

Great location. We arrived early because we took an overnight train, and while we couldn't check in, the team let us use lockers to store our bags and the coffee room to stay comfortable. The aircon worked well, and the shower room was nice.

This place is probably the worst stay I have had in Switzerland. The rooms are TINY, we were three people and were given a double room with a 3rd bed. So unfair. The rooms are also extremely HOT as the AC (whatever they have) was not doing anything other than noise and we could not open the window because the street was very noisy. The personnel unfriendly and indifferent. All three of us, woke up at 5am sweaty from the heat of the room and when I mentioned that to the receptionist the next day she said i should have asked for a fan. At 5am... Breakfast was very basic. Overall, a huge disappointment.

My stay there was pleasant even with a few flaws.

I liked modern design of the interior and the respect for older exterior. Breakfast was good. Selection of food exceeded expectation. Good location a few minutes from train station on foot.

I had to pay a little extra to get a room with WiFi. WiFi in the room did not work. I had to go to the lobby to get access to the internet. On this point they clearly did not deliver. I had no international cellular data plan.

Every detail reflected charm and intelligence...

Lots of unexpected amenities like a terrace garden room off the breakfast room with blooming peonies, a charming little library room with books for both adults and children. Many small conveniences: the bed lamp has a small spot light so one person can read while the other sleeps. Just the friendly bright vibe in general made it a lovely place to stay. And the location could not be better. Walking distance from the train, and close to the best restaurants and museums.

I like the location of the hotel, as it was just a 6 minute walk from the Bern train station, as well as a few minutes walk to the center of Old Town Bern. The staff were very nice and helpful, too, with information a tourist can use. The hotel in itself was clean, especially the hotel room. And it has air-conditioning in the room, which I hardly used because it was still quite cold in April. The breakfast was basic but plentiful. I enjoyed trying out the free tea and coffee at the 4th floor. It made up for not having individual kettle in the room.

The room didn’t have a refrigerator and own kettle to be able to brew hot water anytime. I have to go up to the 4th floor several times to get hot water and tea. But that is just a little inconvenience while staying at Kreuz Bern hotel. I booked a single room as a solo traveler.. the room size was just right but the size of the bathroom was a bit tight when moving within.

Great location with lots of restaurants in the area and very close to the train station. Beds were comfortable and good breakfast included. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I recently stayed at Kreuz Bern Modern City Hotel, and I was left feeling quite disappointed with my experience. Firstly, there was no early check-in option available, which was inconvenient for me. The receptionists were also quite cold and unwelcoming, which made me feel uncomfortable. The room itself was quite small, and the cleaning was not up to my standards. Additionally, the room was not warm enough, and there were noisy pigeons right outside the window, which made it challenging to get a good night's sleep. Overall, my experience at Kreuz Bern Modern City Hotel was less than satisfactory, and I would not recommend this hotel to others. I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary changes to improve the quality of service provided to guests in the future.
