Location
The most disappointing experience was related to breakfast. We stayed for two nights and clearly informed the staff that we wanted breakfast for only one morning, and that for the second day we were not sure yet due to our departure plans. Despite this, we were charged for breakfast on both days.
When we did not attend the second breakfast and asked about a refund (we saw that it was charged later), we were told that “if breakfast is booked, it must be paid for whether you attend or not.”
However, we never booked breakfast for the second day ourselves — this seems to have been either a misunderstanding or a mistake made by the reception staff.
We did not use the breakfast service that day, and therefore being charged for it felt unfair and unacceptable, especially for a five-star hotel. The situation required several calls and discussions, and the initial refusal from the reception team felt unprofessional and uncomfortable.
Apart from these issues, the stay was good overall, but the situation with breakfast and the communication from the reception could definitely be improved.
