Good location

Location

The most disappointing experience was related to breakfast. We stayed for two nights and clearly informed the staff that we wanted breakfast for only one morning, and that for the second day we were not sure yet due to our departure plans. Despite this, we were charged for breakfast on both days. When we did not attend the second breakfast and asked about a refund (we saw that it was charged later), we were told that “if breakfast is booked, it must be paid for whether you attend or not.” However, we never booked breakfast for the second day ourselves — this seems to have been either a misunderstanding or a mistake made by the reception staff. We did not use the breakfast service that day, and therefore being charged for it felt unfair and unacceptable, especially for a five-star hotel. The situation required several calls and discussions, and the initial refusal from the reception team felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Apart from these issues, the stay was good overall, but the situation with breakfast and the communication from the reception could definitely be improved.

This hotel is expensive, but delivers the goods. So if you are willing to pay for it you will not be disappointed. Very happy I stayed here. Every aspect of this hotel is perfect... rooms, staff, restaurant, breakfast, spa, etc.

Comfort and care in the center of Bern

The room was wonderfully big and especially the shower was perfect! All the staff was so kind and welcoming and the vallet service was particularly appreciated! The spa was also really good, both the spaces and the atmosphere!

The only small thing we can say is that the breakfast buffet was a bit anticlimactic in respect to everything else. Although, we didn't have the eggs that could have been an upgrade of the experience.

No dinner options inhouse for us, watch twice as this is not located in a super nice area in town

Rooms were small, but nice and modern. Well prepared for children. Breakfast was very good

It was impossible to book a table for dinner when we arrived (at 5pm). The restaurant was fully booked already and even at the bar there was no space. The reception staff was super unhelpful and couldn't (or didn't want) to propose an alternative restaurant nearby either. This was extremely annoying as it's simply not acceptable for a hotel of this category not to offer even a dinner for a family traveling with small children. When we later took a drink at the bar, also the bar staff was very unattentive. We stood up twice to walk up to them to place orders. Lastly, the hotel is not in a great area of town and there were demonstrations nearby. So, finding a restaurant outside of the hotel wasn't a great experience either.

Nothing Short of Fantastic!

Phenomenal stay!! Absolutely wonderful staff who are attentive, knowledgeable, and meticulous with every detail, and a deluxe suite with every amenity to make your stay a delight. Could’ve stayed in residency there, we were only too sad to leave. Looking forward to staying again every time in Bern!!

The rooms were stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were very attentive and very helpful.

Comfortable stylish hotel right int the Altstadt.

Marvelous breakfast buffet and the gentleman serving us was super professional.

We had dinner at the Sky Terrace, the food was good, the service totally sublevel considering the level of the hotel, unfriendly , hurried and utterly unprofessional. He made us feel like we were a bother, not guests.

Very nice hotel - perfect location

- The location is excellent - Staff on reception and the front door were incredibly helpful, friendly and approachable. 5 star service. - The breakfast was fantastic - lots of variety and very nicely done - The bathroom facilities were nice - very good pressure shower and bath. Twin basins etc. - Spa facilities were smaller than some other hotels but still very nice - The room was a good size with plenty of storage

- No view from our room but we went with a basic double room so you get what you pay for

A wonderful hotel

The hotel is centrally located and very close to the main train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful with luxurious bathroom and toiletries. The included breakfast was amazing! I wish I could have stayed longer!
