lovely surprise as it was a last minuet booking

As it was a Christmas weekend It had a lovely feeling in the lounge bar with the DJ.Location was fantastic, parking was easy and a very nice welcome and departure.

For us the breakfast was a let down especially as it was not cheap.We were first of all offer a table for two in the back part of the breakfast area right in a walk way which we declined (this was offered to others also one couple sat down and moved for exactly that reason) I am not in catering and do not repeat this process every day but could see the issue.Once in the back area you had a feeling of being out of sit out of mind.This was our only negative for the one night and would return but not include breakfast.

We were expecting a quiet, peaceful night but did not get it.

Nice, old-fashioned style with attentive staff.

At all cost: Do not accept rooms 522 or 524 if these are suggested to you. The attic floor rooms have an industrial vent or something similar above it, and even my Apple watch made a warning of Loud environment possibly harmful to healt, at 23.15 and 5.15 at night. Really, really loud (not your regular bathroom vent sound). Did stop after 20-25 minutes just to start again later on. Too tired to change rooms, we endured it. Did get free breakfast as compensation.

A safe choice once you visit Bern.

Nice hotel, very stratigically located in the city of Bern. Our suite was spacious and had fantastic views of the surroundings.

It was hard to organize brunch at the restaurant of the hotel.

Lacking on hospitality

Amazing location, stunning view. Comfortable room, good amenities, nice service, polite and helpful staff.

1) Check-in experience: my reservation made on booking.com wasn't in the hotel's system. I was standing at the reception for quite a while, with my family exhausted after traveling the whole day. I was anxious wondering if they would find me a room or if I would have to try a last minute reservation somewhere else. So stressful and frustrating. They finally confirmed my booking.com reservation existed and got me a room. No welcome amenity (after all, we weren't even expected). Everything went ok during the stay but I never felt really welcome after this checking experience. The staff is very nice and polite but weren't trained to deal with the unexpected situation. I hope it never happens to another guest again, but if it does, please don't ever let them know about the issue. Pretend all is fine, offer them a place to sit and something to drink while you find the reservation and get everything ready. 2) the AC wasn't working and the room was too warm. 3) Right after the stay, a message wishing a safe trip back home would be better than a marketing promotion code.

Pricy but Top Notch

Wow - This is without a doubt worthy of the high ratings. It is a true five star experience. The pillows and duvets were incredibly comfortable. The President of Kosovo happened to be staying there for the night we were there.

Cooling of the room at night in summertime should be better , but I understand the hotel is bound to local climate regulations prohibiting them to increase airconditioning power… Instead the hotel provides a quiet fan that helps a lot

Fancy and friendly in a great location

So fancy! Gorgeous, ornate but still warm and welcoming. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to help with anything. The room was plush, comfy and had a beautiful bathroom. We had late night ice-cream on the terrace to enjoy the amazing views. Perfect location to access everything but away from main strip and other hotels, which felt special and secret. Highly recommend the splurge!

Absolutely stunning, best hotel of Bern.

The beds… the beds were too hard for us, the pillows too soft. This diminished the experience unfortunately, as for the rest it was most exceptional.

Opulent & friendly

The Bellevue is a 5 star hotel and it shows! Beautiful, historical, lovely, lush. Staying at the Bellevue was a big treat for us. We enjoyed it very much! Big thank you to Tamara at the front desk for being so friendly and lovely, and to the bellhops who opened the doors and gave us a warm greeting every day.

Luxurious beautiful hotel with superb service and care by the Bellevue Team

We were at Deluxe Double Room with river view. Luxurious and beautiful room, big complete bathroom with separate additional toilet. A balcony with magnificent view of the River Aare. On clear days we can even see the snow capped mountains in the background. High compliments to Bellevue team - Chiara, Tamara for your excellent service and care to both of us. You made our stay very very memorable indeed *love

They should refund me the 1500 chf

I pay in advance for my booking but they charge 1500 chf as deposit and it was real transaction fees as the bank told me by sms and I informed them that it was real transaction but they ignored

Pleasant

Great location, staff were very very nice

It felt like the building was a little run down. Carpet in the room which didn’t feel so hygienic, shower head kept changing position, plenty of water power with cold water but when you turn the warm water on the all of a sudden the power is not great. Finally, the air conditioning makes a noise. Not very loud but constant throughout the night so for light sleepers it is difficult to sleep.

A great hotel to stay in Bern, with picture postcard views and excellent service.

Beautiful hotel in a prime location overlooking the river, with excellent service from very helpful staff. The room was in immaculate condition and very well appointed with a number of extras such as fruit and chocolate as well as binoculars to view the landscape.

Water hammer in the pipes made sleeping quite difficult. The hard floor furnishings made for a noisy stay but I understand they're easier to clean.

Beautiful historic building but at a price

Great location, fantastic staff and beautiful building. We had a room with a fantastic view of the river passing through old Bern.

Breakfast buffet was minimal but still priced over 40+ euros per person (we passed). Room configuration was odd with shower and bidet and big sinks/counter in a completely separate room from toilet and small sink. Very expensive (roughly 750 euros a night). During our stay Bern was celebrating 175 years of their constitution and nearby office buildings plus of course this hotel was open to the public. This meant crowded lobby and lines to even get into our own hotel.
