Well located near public transport, a quick walk over the bridges to the old city. Lovely, quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast and all day coffee was terrific.

Good value place to stay

My room was very clean. The shower cubicle/box was incredibly small but it worked. The 24 hour coffee/tea machine is a godsend.

I felt the lady in the office/bureau could have been more warm and friendly. I felt like I was a nuisance to her day.

Amazingly clean, delicious food and very affordable.

This was my first time staying in a room with shared bathroom. I had reservations but I wanted to save some money. To my surprise, the bathrooms were always available and always squeaky clean. It was so impressive I don't even know how they do it. The room was nice, bed comfortable and the free breakfast was really nice... much nicer than I would expect for the price I paid for the room.

There is no elevator and i was on the third floor. I'm lazy. But it's not much of an issue especially since I didn't carry luggage.

Everything was perfect.

The room is simple but clean. The location is good, easy to walk to most of the tourist spots. The breakfast was perfect. For me, the best part was having lots of cheese and jam. They also served different kinds of yoghurt, fruit and cereals. I really liked it.

I didn’t notice when booked this room that it hasn’t shower/bath/toilet. Only sharing with next rooms. A bit surprise, but I used to live such way) be attentive. You can pay extra 40 franks per night for room with toilet. But I didn’t do it, cause next rooms were empty. Restrooms are extremely clean. The breakfasts are pretty poor - like everywhere in Bern) The city is perfect; a lot of interesting places. Little trouble with stores - mostly of them are closing after 6 pm (and closed on Sundays). Public transport is very fast and comfortable, the tickets price are included into hotel price.

Really comfortable room, great view of the town. Staff were very helpful, allowing me to store my luggage until check-in, and providing breakfast to-go as I had an early morning train to catch. They also provided city maps and public transport codes.

Nice Old-style Hotel in a Calm Cul-de-Sac

Nice old style building. I like the hard wood floors and the location at the end of a cul-de-sac and not too far from the city center.

It is a bit strange that only one side of the bed is dressed if you book the room alone. The room looks unfinished that way.

Good location. Coffee available 24/7. Clean and very neat. Very nice and friendly staff.

it’s not a big deal if traveling light, but for pp with a huge luggage, arrival/departure might be a bit clumsy (esp if raining) because the hotel is located a bit below the main street level & one must use stairs to reach the entrance

highly recommend this comfy, wonderful hotel.

Everything was great, from warm welcome to location to comfort, not to mention self serve coffee/tea freely available in breakfast room which is a true bonus compared to similar types of accommodation. shared shower/Wc wasn’t a problem, sparkling clean & never had to wait to use these.

Got charged twice and money is not reimbursed after 2 weeks

Fair value to the price if you get charge properly. If you get charged twice very small value for the price. Also the local taxs are added on top and not very transparent through the booking and check in process. Won’t come back or recommend to anybody

Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was a nice touch. Rooms were simple, but spacious after a long days of sightseeing. The location was perfect, just outside old town, but close to restaurants and transportation.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff was polite. Ability to drink coffee without restriction. The hotel is located 3 minutes from the historic center. The main plus point I think is the shared toilet and shower located on the floor. You don't disturb your companion.
