It was a very nice property. The staff were very helpful and polite
The rooms were excellent. The food was nice and the overall experience was perfect.

Room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very kind, we had complimentary drinks in the mini bar.
It was all ok, the room didn’t have outside views but anyway daylight

Nice, practical and very clean room. The room was equipped to my needs, although not very big. The hotel has a wonderful location in the middle of Bern with a view of the mountains. The service was friendly and very helpful. We were even offered a ride to our restaurant. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous and very appetising. For my next stay, I will certainly choose Swissôtel Kursaal Bern.
The Christmas decoration was a bit tacky to my taste, but it did not spoil my stay in this very nice hotel...

Good location
For 180 per night the shower should at least drain and the staff should be proactive in addressing issues.

Check out processes very kindly and staff very helpful. Location is perfect.
When we arrived the hotel reception desk did not welcome, also did not get information enough.
6.0 / 10.0
Location is not far from major attractions of the city.
The room I was first assigned on 4th floor had a spider with it’s web right over the bed. There were also spider cobweb hanging on the other side of the ceiling. When I complained and requested to change room. The lobby lady said having spider means something good of the room, I thought she was joking but it’ not funny at all. How long a room has to be vacant before a spider can complete its web? If the room is cleaning everyday properly, how can anyone not notice those spider webs? I was allowed to change another room on the 3 rd floor eventually, and the new room was at least look better and cleaner. However, the first room gave me a pretty bad impression about the management and sanitation of this hotel.

Went above and beyond when we shared it was our anniversary! Flowers in our room and complimentary drinks.
Everything was great.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was oddly placed. After staying in older hotels with lots of charm, this was quite modern. I felt it made a great business trip hotel.
Very nicely located to old town.
too modern for what we were looking for

Spacious and well maintained with free mini bar. Very comfortable bed and bedsheets. The hotel provided a free tram ticket for our stay.
The entrance to the bathroom was a sliding glass door - it rattled quite a bit when opening and closing. A solid door would have been better. Location wise, there was a big renovation of a bridge so not so accessible with public transport.

Terrific courtesy extended at front desk during check in. The lady also found me a table when the restaurant was full in the evening ! The location was perfect for me about 7 mins by cab will cost you between 15-20 euro. The hotel also boasts a fabulous casino and auditorium for musical events. The breakfast was exceptional from 6.30 am onwards. There was bottled water as well as soft drinks & beer in the room that was complimentary !
I could not think of anything adverse or negative. Perhaps the cost for one night was definitely on the higher side.

The hotel was modern, clean and had a lovely bar area. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms spacious. The location was fantastic and amenities were modern within the rooms. Mini bar was included in the price and restocked each day.
The room was very hot and could not be managed. We were supposed to have a tablet in the room for ordering room service and (possibly) other things, no tablet could be provided at all. We had to open the window to get the temperature down to sleep and as a result my wife had an allergic reaction to the room due to an extraction vent being outside the window in a small glassed in open area. The venue did not tell us about a performance that was on the last evening we were staying there and the music for this was so loud it shook the walls. This went on for over two hours finishing some time after 10. After this, we assume a stage was being removed or packed up and scraping and banging metal could be heard until well after midnight. We had to be up at 6am and this significant affected our ability to sleep. Communication from the venue in advance could have supported us in this instance. As a hotel that has performances regularly I would check the dates of these if you are looking for a restful stay.

Beautiful new hotel with all the facilities you could seek.
Location is great, short walk to the old town.

The room was very roomy and clean. The shower was fantastic. The double bed was massive and very comfortable. The whole hotel is a great piece of modern architecture and the interior is worth seeing. The room “controls” were also quite “hi-tech”; it took me a while to work out how the lights were controlled.
The hotel is in a central location, easy walking distance to the centre of town.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Parking is really convenient – right under the hotel with a lift up into the hotel.
Note that although most of the wall sockets are Swiss ones – there is also a Euro style one at the desk.
The room is on the expensive side, the most expensive we stayed in on our pan-European trip but this seems a normal for Switzerland. On the whole probably value for money if you want to treat yourself.

A beautifully designed hotel, inside and out, that embraces you with comfort & relaxation. Our reception staff were as friendly as they were professional. We loved relaxing next to the koi pond (beautiful!). Breakfast was great.
There really was nothing not to like.

I recently stayed at the Swissôtel Kursaal Bern and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The hotel is perfectly situated, just a short walk from Bern’s charming Old Town and major attractions like the Zytglogge and the Bear Park. The location makes it an excellent base for both business and leisure travelers.
The hotel itself is modern and stylish, with a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step into the lobby. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and featured contemporary decor with thoughtful touches. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the high-quality linens and amenities, including a Nespresso machine and a well-designed workspace. The views over the city from my window and small balcony were a wonderful bonus.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, local options. The staff at Swissôtel Kursaal Bern were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with recommendations or special requests. Check-in and check-out were efficient and hassle-free.
Overall, Swissôtel Kursaal Bern met my expectations. It combines modern luxury with Swiss hospitality, making it a top choice for anyone visiting Bern. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of elegance in the Swiss capital.
The bathroom sink was extremely small, and the shower base was probably the most slippery I have ever experienced, I would say deadly in fact.
There was no iron & ironing board in the room, which seems to be standard in Switzerland, even for 4 and 5 start hotels.

It's always a pleasure to visit the Kursaal in Bern. The hotel is well situated near the center of Bern, the restaurant and food are great, the breakfast is amazing, the staff is helpful and the beds are very comfortable.
We've been to the Kursaal a few times over the past few years and always had a great time there. Just this time was a bit different as we got a bedroom without any outside view (see photos below) and the bathroom looked a bit like in a hospital and could use some renovation. It was the first time I didn't feel that I got the value for the money. Next time I'll make sure to request a bedroom with a window on the outside.

Very clean, very modern and ideally suited for the old town.
Breakfast is a bit complicated with full for a steep cost or room service for less than full…or something else.

Window direct to lobby with people watching in our room (room 243). No fresh air and impossible to see outside. 270 CHF for that room is unacceptable

Nothing. We loved it!

Location was good, right next to a bus stop. Rooms were nice and grounds were beautiful. The facilities were good as well, including the gym.
Rooms were not the cleanest - found wrappers in nooks left uncleaned, carpets still had lint and marks in them and very small specks in the toilet bowl. Our shampoo was also empty when we first arrived, although this was quickly remedied.
Windows for the rooms we got all open into the building, so no natural light. Was expected though.

Rooms are beautifully fitted, perhaps one of the best modern hotels I have seen. lovely light wood and all provided. Very quiet.
Parking is convenient no step access.
Breakfast is in an inner atrium but food is excellent - at SFR32 it should be.
Lovely outside space with lakes and Koi to watch.
Our 3rd floor room had a view onto a wall which was very disappointing as this is overlooking the town. Too tired to change but felt taken advantage of as it was not cheap.
Location is not central Bern but its not too far to walk in and you can use the free tram offer.

The hotel is well situated, within a walking distance from the historical city centre. The room was spacious and well equipped, furniture very standard. For breakfast there was decent choice. It was perfect for one night stay, for more time it could be too "standard".
The room was facing a depressing inside well, so basically there was no natural light and you couldn't really open the window.
