Convenient place to stay in the center of Bern.

This hotel was ideally situated in the heart of Bern, near the Bundesplatz and a short walk from the train station. Bern was a fascinating city to explore, and everything was nearby.

I felt like I got less value for my money at this hotel than at other hotels in Switzerland, especially with a price that would normally have included breakfast at other hotels I stayed in during my trip. The air conditioner in the room was temperamental, and would not always stay on. On the side of the bed nearest to the middle of the room, there were no plugs for electronics, requiring guests to stay on the far side of the bed near the window if they need to plug in items during the night.

Reliable, easy access from station

The room size was small but the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good overall and the scrambled eggs were excellent. The very personable staff were quite helpful. The hotel is walkable from the train station (even with a larger roller bag). Cleanliness is outstanding. All staff were cheerful and helpful.

Other than two little chairs at the entrance plus the breakfast area, there is no public lounge area.

Delightful staff, friendly and helpful. Excellent location for city sightseeing. Lovely hotel. Enjoyed the access to nice coffee in the bar/library area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back here.

Nice hotel excellent location

Very comfortable hotel within walking distance of the main railway station in Bern, but also very close to old town part of the city, so you can walk out more or less straight into the Bundesplatz square with its fountains and impressive buildings. There is a free welcome drink in the afternoon. Great staff.

Buffet breakfast, if you opt for it, is good but not exceptional, especially the coffee. It would be nice if the rooms had a fridge. There is a kind of substitute for a mini-bar where you can pick up drinks from a fridge at reception and add them to your tab, but the drinks choice was not great: for example the only beer was an indifferent lager.

Great stay for the price and at a good location.

It’s close to the station and the city centre. The hotel is cozy and the staff is wonderful. The free drink of our choice (I made a mimosa and my friends had a rum and coke)

Very convenient location (close to train station and places of interest). Really good breakfast.

Yummy breakfast with lots of healthy options. Came during heat wave. They provided an A/C unit and helpful tips to keep the room as cool as possible.

The ice situation was lacking (they said their ice and water machine had recently broken down). Room was still warm despite the A/C unit. But we were understanding of the situation, as we there during a strong heat wave.

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, ready to help. Surprisingly very quiet given the location (was on the 4th floor). Very clean rooms and comfy beds. Modern setting. Free coffee pods / tea every day.

The lobby can feel a little cramped as it is on the small side, but has a charming feel to it.

Wonderful stay in old town near clock tower and Einstein museum.

Friendly staff. We were able to drop off luggage before check-in and they brought them up to our room for us. Free welcome drinks was a great bonus!

Great stay in centre of Bern

The staff at the hotel were very kind . The location is excellent , walking distance around 7 minutes from the main station , close to lot of places to eat, a shopping centre and nice walks . It was quiet at night in spite of its central location . The hotel is slightly outdated but it was clean and comfortable . I liked the general theme of the hotel with pictures of bears, it has its character .The breakfast was very good . WiFi was fast . I would stay again , thanks .

Excellent location. We received a warm welcome; the hotel even offers one complimentary drink on the evening of your arrival, which is a nice touch. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Discovering that there were three things either not working in our room (or beyond our understanding to fix), I politely asked at the desk for help to fix them—or for more information so we could fix them ourselves. The person on duty responded in a tone that made it clear that we did not know how to work the fixtures, which was unhelpful and unnecessary. However, two of the three issues were fixed while we were out of the room.
