Comfortable stay for family.

The room was excellent and met Holiday in standards. The room was clean , tidy and comfortable

The only flip side is the location. The hotel is bit far from Bern railways station. By train, you can reach in 8 mins but trains run every 1 hour while by tram it takes around 30 mins.

Highly recommended for families staying in Bern

We loved the nearby pool complex. We appreciated getting a bag with towels to take over to the pool complex. Great breakfast. Easy ride with the tram or train into the city center. Kids eat free at the restaurant if an adult buys a meal. Very helpful staff.

Good location and free tram travel included

The receptionist upon welcome was great and really appreciated the free tram and bus travel app available for the length of our stay.

Our room air conditioning made a continuous loud squeaking noise, so we had to leave a card in the room whilst we were out to chill it down, then sleep without aircon. The maintenance staff were unable to fix it and the hotel was full so we couldn't get a different room. Slightly annoying problem that we worked around as the hotel couldn't resolve it. Otherwise our stay was good.

This was a nicely priced hotel right next to the train, a movie theater, and lots of nice dining.

I love the Holiday Inn hotels. I love the bright rooms, the thoughtful amenities, the good price, and the friendliness of the staff. The staff here were wonderful, and the hotel was surrounded by so many beautiful walking trails and nice little restaurants. It was lovely that it was right off the train line and was so easily accessible too.

I always like to have breakfast included.

One of the pictures I posted is the view from our room. It was quiet and serene yet right in the center of where we needed to be with a train station right there.

Amazing stay in Bern with Family

Great room with a view, good breakfast, with a shopping mall right next door. Very convenient to reach the hotel by train and trams. Beautiful sunflower gardens nearby.

Perfect location - right in front of the railway station and in a large trading center. And of course, the right to use Bernaqua for 3 hours per night is a wonderful bonus. Good breakfast @CHF25

Promised "range of free toiletries" consisted of a bottle of liquid soap and same of a shampoo - that was all. A bit scanty for a 4star hotel. Also a complementary bottle of mineral water would be normal for a hotel of this level, but the owners decided differently. My room was on the 8th floor, which was meant to be the privileged floor for members, but every morning I was woken up by numerous monstrous blows on the walls from above. It felt as if the whole building was jumping and the walls were vibrating because of these blows - very uncomfortable. It must have been repairs, but there should have been a warning, at least.
