I asked for a quiet room having come off two long flights and I was given a 4th floor room (long way from the ground) facing away from the road, so I could not have asked for more.
The staff were excellent in helping me store and retrieve my bags after checking out, in printing a form that I needed, and in their general welcome.
It is very close to the train station for trains to Newmarket (major shopping centre etc.) and Auckland city centre. There is a large hypermarket across the road.
This is a minor, zeroth world comment - grapefruit and grapefruit juice at breakfast? May I'm just a bitter oldie...
